Along with many others, I saw the $49 special advertised online. It said it included 10 vents and…read moreone return. I figured I'd give it a shot. I then looked online and saw a lot of poor reviews about upselling and people not getting the special. So when they called me to schedule the appointment I was very clear with the woman on the line , who was very nice, that I only intended to take advantage of the special. She said there was no issue with that, but did give me a heads up that the tech that came would give us a quote on the whole system for reference. It was Noah who came our house. Again he was very friendly and i was upfront about our intention to only do the $49 special. He did as expected give the quote for the full house which was about $500. Upon discussing it, he told us that cleaning only 10 vents could do more harm than good, which made no sense honestly. And if it truly is the case, why would they even advertise the special at all. He honestly talked us out of cleaning the vents at all, which I thought strange. However, I never felt that Noah was pushy at all. We eventually settled on him just cleaning the dryer vent. Though had we insisted on the 10 vent special, I'm certain he would have done it. It was not nearly as bad of an experience as other people have had. Apex clean air is legit, just seems they may have some slightly questionable marketing strategies.

Tyler originally came last week and gave me an estimate on options, describing the pros and cons of each. He was very knowledgeable and I really felt like he was honest and forthright. We ended up with two toilets, two grab bars, and repairing a broken water controller in the tub. I though it just needed to be screwed back on and asked for help with that, but it turned out a part was broken (my dad had fallen and hit it), so Tyler gave me instructions and I ran to Home Depot while they were working on the toilets. Tyler ran into a snag with one of the toilets. We've been aware from right after moving in that the builders here cut a lot of corners, and they also did that with the toilet installment. So Tyler had to work around the weird jerry-rigging done by the lousy builders, resulting in extra work and extra time. He explained the issue and showed me how he was dealing with it. In the meantime, Skyler worked on the broken water controller, discovering more damage than expected. They didn't even charge me for that word, saying since it didn't take them any more time, since Skyler worked on it while Tyler took care of the weird toilet issues. They consulted with me all along the way about how and where to install the grab bars, checking to make sure they were absolutely solid, having me look over everything and give my ok. Everything looks great. I really appreciate the professionalism and expertise of these men. Our home is a safer place, and I am so thankful. They were able to come do the job quickly (two days after I accepted the estimate). These guys will have my business in the future.

The copper lining of my outdoor spigot must have had some water in it over the winter, subsequently froze, and caused a major crack in the pipe. This spigot just so happens to be the only one available for my swamp cooler to connect to. Being without any sort of AC for any period of time during the Utah summer is a bad time, so I am glad Hot and Soft were able to finish this up quick. Shoe covers, on time, knowledgeable, and friendly. All I could ever ask for when it comes to anyone in the trades, but especially someone repairing stuff on my home. Their prices are fair, and the repair itself was done in less than an hour. I would definitely recommend this team and any of their techs. Will be using them in the future as well.
