Dr. Sniffen's prices are well below the competition. For $90 you get an initial check up and cleaning. Everyone else in town wanted between $120 and $250 for the same service! I ended up having to pay another $30 for the x-rays because my last ones were over a year old. I was very pleased with the cleaning and how the dental hygienist explained things to me. The staff was nice and courteous. I highly recommend this dental group's staff. The only caveat is that the office is a bit of a time warp, clean but well used.

I had two root canals for back molars done by Dr. Goziker, now less than two years later…read moreboth teeth need to be extracted and replaced by expensive implants due to recurring infection and pain! I'm in good health, excellent oral hygiene, see a dentist regularly, non smoker, so no special risk factors. Here's what went down: When I first called their office on a Monday morning due to severe pain in the molar Dr. G. previously treated, I was told that Dr. G was booked for the WHOLE WEEK, couldn't even spare 15 minutes for me, so I agreed to see his partner Dr. Bruckner. The office manager said the consult would be free because it was an evaluation of a root canal performed by their practice. After a quick exam and a few X-rays Dr. Bruckner claimed that he really needed a 3D scan to make sure of the tooth's prognosis. Then Dr. Bruckner left the room and his assistant came in and told me the scan would be $300! I was blindsided by this sneaky approach but was in pain and needed answers so agreed to get the scan. Then Dr. Bruckner showed me the scan and said the tooth was badly infected causing severe bone loss so it wasn't savable anymore, recommended I have it pulled and replaced with an implant elsewhere. Then Dr. Bruckner claimed the scan showed I need a root canal on a different asymptomatic tooth on the other side of my mouth, trolling for more business at a very bad time! I understand that not every treatment is successful, but charging me $300 to ensure that their own prior expensive procedure had FAILED (i.e., recurring pain and infection in the treated teeth less than 2 years later) seems unethical and mercenary. Especially when I had been told that the consult would be free! In response to Dr. Bruckner's response that "any medical office would charge me $300 for a CAT scan" that's simply untrue. The going rate for new patients on LI is $150 and the oral surgeon I saw afterward didn't charge me anything for the scan or consult. Their follow-up claims that both of my treated teeth miraculously cracked on their own (with no connection to their failed root canals) are laughable and factually untrue, also in violation of HIPAA laws to disclose this online. Not once did anyone from their office try to call or email me directly to resolve the situation directly. Horrendously painful and expensive lesson learned; NY Endodontic Associates may seem good and kind when you come in and they want your money, but don't count on getting long term results from their root canals. And if you have a problem afterward expect to be charged more and then kicked to the curb.

He took care of my teeth, doing 2 root canals in 1 visit. Aside from the anesthesia injections I felt no pain. Even when the anesthesia wore off I felt ok! Of course there was some swelling and soreness (to be expected) buy nothing like what root canals are hyped up to be. Dr Goziker is knowledgable and experienced. He even took care to make sure my crown wasn't damaged when he drilled behind the tooth. The procedure took less time than I'd anticipated and I was happy to be able to drive myself home. Ann, at the front desk is also very sweet and made me feel welcome when I anxiously entered the office. She gracefully answered my questions and helped arrange a payment plan that I could manage. She also called the next day to check on me and make sure I was feeling ok.

So when my tooth starting really bothering me on a Sunday I was nervous. It was swelling up and was abscessed. I took some left over antibiotics out of desperation hoping it would help. It didn't. The next day, I called a dentist that told me to come in and "wait" and that I would be "waiting a long time" but to "just come in and wait". Well that sort of uncertainty when you're in pain from an abscessed tooth sounds like eternity. So let me get to Dr. Cohen at Sprain Brook Dental... He was great. I found them online. I called at 11:30am and by 12:15p I was sitting in his dental chair get x-rays done. He said the tooth had to come out and I agreed. He's a straight shooter, upfront kind of guy from what I could tell. He gave me the "gas" (nitrous oxide)at no additional cost to help calm my nerves, and then he started numbing me up. Which that barely hurt at all. After that, I literally felt nothing. Actually, I felt good. Ha, go figure, I felt good while at the dentist getting a big molar pulled. He made sure to stitch me up. He gave me a better antibiotic to clear the infection and strict instructions on how to take them. I was a little sore after the Novocain wore off. Popped 3 Advil and pain was literally gone. I went back to work and went about my day like nothing happened. I'm going back next week to get the stitches taken out and do xrays of my mouth to see what he can do for me to make my smile nicer. I hope his cosmetic dentistry is as good. He said he does everything. And just a side note. The atmosphere is very laid back, A very old school dentist office with no bs or upselling from what I could tell from my one emergency appointment with him. I'm cancelling the appointment I had with a different dentist (the one I originally called but couldn't get a firm answer as to how long I would have to wait) on Thursday and will go to Dr. Cohen instead now. I did not have dental insurance and was not ready to make an immediate decision so I asked the doctor to give me something for immediate pain relief. I was told there was nothing else they could do except a root canal. I shelled out $150 just to be told that and left the place without any solution to my toothache. Went to another dentist who put me on antibiotics for 4 days which eased the pain eventually. I do not recommend this doctor.

I have worked with many dentists and his work is outstanding! He will not tell you what you want to hear he will tell you what is best for your current dental situation. If you have an infection know that it will cancel the effects of anesthesia. He will always make sure to stop if you feel discomfort or pain. He loves what he does and you will know by the results of your dental work!

I didn't have to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes in the waiting room to be called into the operatory. I don't particularly like novocaine so she only put in a half dose. It took her an hour and 15 minutes to prep the tooth and put on a temporary crown. Two weeks later, I returned to have the permanent crown put in. It fit perfectly and didn't need any adjustment. The second appointment only took about a half hour. I liked Dr. Mohajer's efficiency as well as her staff. She was training a new dental assistant and throughout the whole procedure, she was carefully explaining everything she was doing. Thus, I found the care she took with her training to be emblematic of the care she takes with her patients.
