I typically don't use automatic car washes and prefer to take my car to a hand wash or to wash it…read moremyself. Fortunately, my current car is white, so I don't have to worry much about swirl marks from aggressive mechanical brushing, which leaves me free to use auto car wash services without fear of my car looking like it's been put through a OR safari park every weekend. I've been using this car wash for close to 3 years now and don't have a single complaint. For £6 my car gets a triple shampoo wash, and comes out the other side totally clean. Once a year, in the springtime, I get an under chassis wash to take the winter grime off. £6 is what it costs to take your car to the self service machines at petrol station around London. Not only is it a massive pain to use those machines, but the brushes can damage the paint on cars pretty extensively. So it's nice to pay the same amount and just sit back. They also offer a valet service, which I've never used. There's also interior detailing, as well as a self service vacuum (£1 for 4 minutes). Also... I don't trust the adults who don't get just a bit excited when going through a car wash. Come on now... that stuff is so exciting!

Top Gear has it all: car accessories, mag wheels, tires, a full range of polishes, even 45000 colours of car paint. They have access to a full workshop so when I had my tires replaces I literally got it all done in a morning. You should probably spend more time waxing that new job more than you wax your car, but if cars are your thing you can find most kinds of car care material at Top Gear. And the lights and sound are amazing: they also have a good range of kit that will enable you to pimp your ride. So, even if you do spend your last £50 on new speakers, at least you'll have something to listen to while you're stuck on the highway with no petrol.

I…read morecannot, in all good conscience however, find a reason not to give the maximum in this instance, even if I were attempting to be 'hard'. We had owned our car (a much loved Toyota Corolla) for around twelve years and in this time we had not even so much as scratched it. It was heart-breaking therefore that, during a spate of bad weather and a badly placed large plant pot, we managed to seriously damage the bodywork; a scratch the length of the car on the driver's side along with two massive dents on both driver door and passenger door behind. We took it to Arlington Motors who very kindly advised on the damage thoroughly, showed me (an extremely un-engineering type) how the process was going to be conducted and advised that a rival company located next door would charge 4x the value for simply replacing the doors rather than actually fix the damage (i.e. the easy option for them). Having heard the sales talk elsewhere before I did indeed check with his immediate rival who did indeed quote me an absurd price which would have meant it being easier to replace the car than fix the damage. We therefore left the car with Arlington and picked the car back up after our honeymoon. The damage has completely disappeared, no trace of either dents or bodywork scratch evident. I simply cannot fault the work at all which is of an extremely high standard. To top this off he had also valeted the car for us of his own accord so that when we received it back it was gleaming both inside and out. I cannot thank the owner enough for his honesty and hard-work. Should we (touch wood, hopefully not) receive a need to have the bodywork touched up again then I will be immediately taking it to Arlington; a tried and trusted bodywork repair shop!

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed at how professional the set was . The wheels were removed and replacement wheels fitted , until 4 days later when the wheels were ready to be collected. Sometimes when you phone a business for a quote there is an urgency or an impatience in their tone of voice, but Adil was very calm and thorough in his explanation of the process and what I would get for my money. Karl went above and beyond in sourcing me new shiny wheel nuts to replace the old rusty ones, at half the price that Euro Car Parts were quoting. They even loaned me some nice Merc alloys whilst mine were being powder coated, which took a couple of days. All in all a fantastic experience, and cheaper than a lot of other quotes I received. As you can see from the photos, my wheels were badly corroded but now they look brand new. If you are thinking of spray vs powder, all I can say is I'm glad I went for powder. There's a nice reassurance they they've been oven baked and sand blasted and coated in laquer etc rather than just sanded and sprayed. Would 100% return again.
