Unfortunately, there was none. The saving grace for us was my son's teachers, Mr. Rao and Mrs. Joshi. They were wonderful and we genuinely appreciated them. Beyond that, I was never particularly impressed with the administration or the overall experience. For a school that positions itself as a premier institution and has so many positive accolades, our experience was very different. To us, it felt like a pretty average/subpar school packaged and marketed as something much more. If you are considering AIA, just make sure you read every line of what you sign. Don't assume there will be any flexibility or understanding even when circumstances change within a matter of days.

My son's teacher approached me with concerns regarding my son and as she's telling me these concerns i pulled my son out of class to question him about these accusations. He did Admit to Miss. Abi and myself that he in fact did pull his pants down on the playground. So as I'm disciplining my child based on this accusation, his teacher is there just watching. Later on that night my son's father and i are questioning him again about this accusation as he's never done this before and now hes admitting he didnt do it. The next day I requested video footage of this incident that apparently happened on the playground because when I questioned the teachers, whether or not they seen this incident happened, they both denied seeing this accusation take place. (So why are you telling me this happened when there is NO PROOF) Finally, I got the footage and my son in fact did NOT pull his pants down. He was trying to pull his friends legs down the slide and accidentally pulled his friends pants down a little bit in the process which the principal stated looked purely innocent and non-intentional. No apology has been made to my son nor i for this accusation being made. It truly shows their lack of professionalism. Rather than approaching concerns with open communication and understanding, the teachers made assumptions without fully investigating the situation or considering our child's perspective. This has created an uncomfortable environment where we feel unheard. As parents, we expect educators to foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere, but instead, we have encountered miscommunication and a lack of professionalism in handling concerns. 20/20 is hindsight here... this is lengthy…read more In mid-July of 2019, a foster child was placed in my home. You can imagine my anxiety and stress at the time, but when I got a call from Cynthia saying that I can enroll my kiddo in their GA Pre-K program, it was such a relief. Paperwork completed, court docs submitted to the school, hastey orientation/open house provided... the school year was rocky, but with a lot of patience and support from Ms. Lisa and Binal, we made it through to March 2020... COVID 19. Honestly, Ms. Lisa and Binal are why I am giving two stars instead of just one. Bright from the Start categorizes our students based upon their socio economic status and needs. This is done behind the scene's and is the provider's responsibility to request adequate documentation and properly categorize the kids when reporting to the state. Needless to say, my foster child was miscategorized. I was charged monthly for meals which the state/federal gov would have provided at no expense to me, if this clerical error did not occur. I found this out when applying for much needed aid during this pandemic. Again, due to this error, my Child did not qualify. I spoke with the DOE along with the Department of Human Services, and because the reports were submitted in error, there is no way to correct my student's record. After finding all of this out, I requested a full refund and the value of the aid lost. I emailed Tiffany, Brittney, Cynthia and their Bright from the Start Rep. I followed up, requesting a corporate contact... no response. I contacted the corporate office's generic number and recruiter and left messages. After a month of no response, I emailed the CEO and CFO of Spring Education, whose name I pulled from the secretary of state's website, along with the school administrators. I FINALLY received a response. This response was from corporate's counsel & yes, all blame is being put on me. I didn't provide the documents needed to properly categorize my Child, and apparently, I was asked "repeatedly" for it. A blatant lie. If you are thinking of enrolling in the GA Pre-K Program here and your Child has an IEP or is on MediCaid, do not. The administrators of the school are not familiar with the services available and are clueless when it comes to Public Education Programs.

I explained to Goddard management that the other school was 5 min from my house, less expensive, and most importantly had a 5 day spot available. I asked if I could at least get some of my money back given the circumstances. They refused to give me back ANY of the $1700 deposit despite the fact that they only had it for less than 48 business hours. My child never even visited the school. They claimed that I could have taken a spot from someone else. I paid them Thursday afternoon and informed them Monday morning about my change of plans. If someone visited Friday who wanted that spot, am I really supposed to believe they couldn't have contacted them immediately on Monday to let them know about an opening? I reached out again and was told they never filled the spot. So if you couldn't fill that spot anyway, why couldn't I get even half of my money back? It's not like we took someone else's spot (according to them anyway). The school we ended up joining didn't require any deposit to secure my spot, and the owner purposely enrolls less students than the GA requirement to provide a better and more nurturing environment. My son has about 13 kids in his class vs. the 20+ children in the Goddard class. It's clear that the owner is all about money and posting on social media. I am so happy we found a better place for my child.

I have been holding off on writing this review for nearly a year, and finally I feel like I can…read morewrite it with confidence. About 1 year ago, I had my then 18 month old son enrolled in a different, nearby daycare (which I also left a review for), and it was a nightmare from the start. Being a parent, all you want to do is find the perfect place to bring your child, somewhere that you will make you feel comfortable, and not filled with constant anxiety. I have been lucky enough to feel so happy and confident in my decision to send my son to Legacy Academy. I will preempt this whole review by saying that my son is very difficult. Not in a bad way, but in a hard way. He is super sensitive, very scared of strangers and unfamiliar environment. I know this sounds typical of a toddler, but he is a very extreme case. It was very stressful finding a center that would deal well with this, and really deal with it well. Luckily, Legacy Academy was very capable and willing to work with him. When he first started, he was in the early toddler room (18 months-24 months), with a teacher named Ms. Jenn. When I first met Ms. Jenn, she seemed quiet and reserved, but she was anything but. She opened up in front of the kids and really helped my sensitive child transition into this day care. She is caring and extremely patient and attentive...qualities that are hard to find in people. One thing I really liked about the early toddler room is that it is only kids that are 18 months to 24 months, making all the kids very similar in where they are at developmentally. The whole time he was in this room, there was only 1 teacher because the number of students was so low (I think 6), which is very good for a class size at a day care. Once my son turned 2, he was moved up to the Senior Toddler room, which was a very scary transition. However, the staff was very thoughtful in planning the best way to transition him, and worked with him over the course of a month to slowly warm him up to the 3 new teachers in the Sr. Toddler classroom. The classroom is led by Ms. Estelle, a teacher who has been with the school for OVER 6 YEARS. this is unheard of in day cares. If you are interviewing day cares, be sure to ask how long their teachers have been with them, because it's a very good indication of how the staff is treated. Six years really speaks for itself. Ms. Estelle is the sweetest, and nicest teacher. She did everything she could to help my son and she still does to this day. She understands he requires a little extra patience and attention, and she gives it to him so effortlessly. She is amazing. There are 2 other teachers in the Sr. Toddler room, and they are great as well. My son loves all 3, which is something I thought would never happen due to his temperament. Another thing I love about the school is their approach to learning. Every week we get a detailed outline of the coming week's schedule and lesson plan. They have all the time filled with different educational activities etc. They explain why they are doing each activity and how it contributes to their education. They have spanish once a week, and they have music class too (someone comes in to teach it, he is great!). Now that it's summer they are offering a sports program. All of this is included in the tuition. Legacy Academy is NAEYC certified, (The National Association for the Education of Young Children), which is the highest certification a day care can attain. They are very strict and diligent in checking standards and holding facilities to them. In the Alpharetta Area there are only a few other schools that are also certified with this accreditation. Legacy holds regular events for families to get together, and mingle and engage with other families. They host picnics, holiday events, and all sorts of events outside of the regular day. It is nice because it gives working parents a chance to meet other families in the area, with similarly aged kids. They also have monthly date-nights where parents can drop off the kids in the evening, so parents can have a night out. I am sure I am leaving out 100 positive things I could mention, but I think this sort of sums up my overall experience with Legacy Academy. I absolutely love this school, and having my son attend it. I feel confident dropping him off, and never worried about his well being or anything. If you are curious to learn more about the school, I urge you to contact them.
