All the nail polishes seemed like they were old and stringy and the student helping me had no idea what she was doing..I could have applied the nail polish more evenly blindfolded The pedi was in a little electronic bucket, the water was tepid at best, except for the area surrounding the electrical heater which was burning hot. The french manicure i got was even worse, the manicurist seemed to have no idea what she was doing and openly told me that she had never done a french manicure before.. Went with a friend, her results were slightly better but not by much. Obviously, I should have expected less than stellar nails from a teaching school but for the price I paid (nearly $50 for french mani/regular pedi), the quality was unexceptable.

I was assured by many many people in the salon that they could do what I was asking in one sitting. That was a complete lie. I wanted my hair to have blonde highlights and instead it was a disgusting eggshell brown color all over; and completely damaged. I have had my hair dyed many many times and have gone from a bright red to blonde in one day with no issues but they couldn't even do proper highlights. I ended up leaving the salon, sat in my car and called another salon. This new salon told me to come in and they completely transformed my hair! The ladies at the salon where I got my hair fixed said I'm not the first they've had come in to get their hair fixed from this school but the state and color that my hair was in was the worst they had to deal with. The people in Ohio State School of Cosmetology in Heath, are extremely unprofessional and it is not clean inside. They do a good job at hiding that until you sit down. They had girls who have only been there three days mixing color on their own (I heard every single one of them say "I have no clue what I'm doing"). The girl that did my hair even said that she didn't like the product she was using on my hair but "oh well it will have to do." Then they had the audacity to tell me that the crappy color they applied looked amazing and to come back in next week and would could finish it; plus charge me again! I understand they are students and learning but this school needs to take a note from Paul Mitchell and Aveda and learn to have some class, and have faculty watching over the students. Absolutely horrible.
