Preston's Western Wear - Great pair of shark boots! - Shoe Stores Near Me - Athens, Alabama

I have been to Preston's Western Wear several times in the past. I have spent a considerable amount of money at this business over the past several years. But, I will never return to this business again. Today, I went there to purchase some boots. Upon entering the boot area, which is a small room, I noticed several customers not wearing face masks, others had theirs pulled down below their mouths, and even the employee had hers pulled down below her nose. These idiot customers were walking all over, coming within 2 feet of me. When the employee came back with my sizes, I felt so uncomfortable that I told her I'd be in the front section of the store and will be back in a few minutes (hoping the idiots would clear out). While in front of the store, the cashier asked if I was finding everything ok. I said "Yes, but I had to leave the boot area due to customers having no masks on." She had NO reply to this. Upon returning to the boot room, the same idiots (with an additional customer) were still roaming around oblivious to any concerns for anyone else. I then just simply left the business. What's sad is that I had picked out two pairs of boots, which would have cost over $300. But, because Preston's is more concerned with the almighty dollar, instead of customer safety, they lost my sale! What's funny is that before I could leave the parking lot, 3 of the idiots with no masks left, making NO purchase! Preston's lost my sale today, and my business forever, because of idiots who apparently had no intention on making a purchase.... You have lost thousands of dollars of my business because of your greed. Oh, and you need to REMOVE the sign on your front door requiring masks to be worn!! read more

Great store! Best priced wranglers I've seen! I thought prices were high on other stuff until I visited a Cavender's one day. Preston's prices aren't high, compared to other western stores. Boot prices are very very reasonable. Boots just happen to be pretty expensive in general. Friendly staff, and plenty of stuff to look at! read more

I came to Preston's Western Wear after looking at Boot Barn and a couple other boot stores in Nashville. I was specifically looking for a lace up work boot, and Preston's selection far exceeded the other locations I want in to. The staff was helpful and very friendly. I came just to look at boots, just from walking to the boot section it looked like they have a good selection of clothing and "cowboy hats". There is a very large selection on Carhartt as well. read more

This store stays extremely busy and I didn't understand why until I went inside. The place is huge and jam packed with anything cowboy you could possibly want! Prices are a little high. I would shop more often if they were lower. They even have a baby section full of nursery items and clothes for babies. In the back in a huge Carhardt area. Great place for boots, buckles, home decor, hats, and clothes. I guess people drive from far away to visit this place. read more

I'm 6'6 and have always shopped here for years. They're one of the only stores I can find things in my size. But its become too much. My main problem along with the prices being higher than most places is that they have narrowed down to 2 dressing rooms. 3 times I have gone in there and waited 30+ minutes for a dressing room. Cavenders is more expensive and further away but atleast I can actually try on cloths and buy them there. Fix it please. read more
