Not even a star. My son attended classes at PCA from second grade to almost end of high school. During that time, he was bullied by the teacher and staff to the point he decided that attending public school was a better fit. He was very deep into football and the football coach ran his offense as if the children were in college, meanwhile all the classes are accelerated. My son felt frustrated and alone with out support. There are no real christian values taught to show in his practical life. For as much as these folks wave the bible, they ridicule and bully their student body. The worst decision I made ever made, dont make this decision to take your kid there without knowing that these folks are mean, they are not forgiving and they dont have one christian bone in their judgemental bodies. Its run like a cult where everyone has to drink the water and their message with out question. No one is given compassion. If you call and decide to have a conference with the upper management or teachers, you will learn that your having a conference with the whole team, which makes you feel like their on the offensive before you even discuss your grievance. Speaking and talking to people as an adult about your grievances' isnt really permitted either. If you were really speaking outside of the school on the interaction and support about the school and the parents were not being recorded, they would tell you everything is horrible and its really not a good place but for fear of losing their son or daughters favor in the school, everyone remains quiet. The teachers and principles are all nepo babies and each person has been a track coach, a principal, a guidance counselor....then their husband or wife gets dragged in and becomes a part of the "team" where your not really learning from the best people but just who is avaliable and will subscribe to their "way of doing things" Its not a nice place for my son to grow up and I am glad I got out before he lost his sense of freedom and his self esteem. He left his junior year, and he worked harder to achieve because public school doesnt accept religious classes as history but I dont regret his decision to move on. In the end he made it to college just fine. Were fine but felt a need to speak my families truth. If you wanna waste your families money and time, send them to this school, point blank. My family makes good money and we are educated so this isnt an assessment from someone reckless, just someone that doesnt like to be bullied. Thank you read more

It saddens and frustrates me a little to read the negative reviews of PCA by students who attended here and missed the entire message of the love and transformational power of Christ. PCA is a Christian school - unapologetically standing on the Word of God for authority and guidance in all matters, including those pertaining to life, culture, gender, sexuality, etc. Those students who are unwilling to follow Biblical principles relating to God's design for gender and sexuality will find PCA frustrating not because the students and faculty are unloving or not caring, but because they are running counter to God's best for their lives. Period. My wife and I both work at PCA, all three of our children have attended PCA, and we have loved our time here at this school. PCA places Christ at the center of all that is done and while some have "complained" that PCA is an economically elite school, I have been amazed to see how far this school will go to make a Kingdom education available to any family that wants it! PCA raises and gives away literally millions of dollars for families to be able to attend - and PCA is at the forefront of trying to educate our state legislators on different educational funding opportunities to help address the cost of private education - instead of blaming PCA for providing an excellent education, those who are frustrated with the cost should be contacting their state legislators and asking why other states have passed laws that make private education more affordable and Texas hasn't. I personally know the students who have taken the time to write their negative reviews and I feel sorry for their anger and frustration, but again, their perspective of the school is really more of a commentary on their perspective on Biblical Christianity itself. If you want a school that adheres to the principles of Scripture and isn't tossed to and fro by the winds of the current cultural chaos, the comments of these students should help you understand that PCA isn't willing to compromise on Biblical truth. My prayers are with those students that they would one day know the truth and the truth would set them free. read more

It's sad that students write negative reviews because they choose not to believe in Christ's word. Their upset because PCA won't water down the message of the Bible. Has nothing to do with the performance and quality of the academy. I'm a single mom with very limited income. My son had an amazing experience at PCA. When I lost my job and couldn't afford tuition, PCA did everything possible to keep my son there. Everything down to lowering tuition SUBSTANTIALLY to asking me to apply there!!! In the end I decided to put him in public school based on my financial situation. They were amazing! Let us out of the contract, offered very low tuition and even multiple months tuition free to help me get on my feet! When my son entered public (Plano) he was literally bored, because everything he was being taught, he had learned a year ago at PCA!!! This has nothing to do with the education provided at the school except for possibly greed. I first stepped foot in the gym of the school when my daughter was playing a 7th grade B team volleyball game and the school was charging $5 on a Tuesday game. Come today my son is playing a Varsity baseball game scrimmage and there they are again charging to attend the game. If you have ever visited this campus you know the enormity of it and the wealth of the school. Give me a break and stop the BS. read more

This place is something special. It's not cheap, for sure, but the benefits the children receive by attending this school are enormous. I appreciate the kind, but firm and unapologetic attitude they present upfront. They firmly stand behind their Baptist faith and if that's not for you, that's completely understandable...but it would be best to look elsewhere. The intentional community (focused on Kingdom education) between the students, faculty, staff and parents is unmatched and we consider ourselves extremely lucky to be able to send our daughter here. read more

Great School !!! Teachers are loving, caring, helpful, encouraging and committed. I have never come across any staff member in the entire school who is not courteous or who does not go that extra mile to honor Lord Jesus. They impart and instill Biblical principles in the lives, hearts and minds of young children by their actions and not by mere words. They have great programs like conventional constitutional play and other extra curricular activities that enrich the kids. Best Christian school I have ever seen in all the 10 cities I have lived. I graduated from Prestonwood this year. I started attending in eighth grade after going to public school in Frisco. Both my sister and I developed depression shortly after going to school here and begged our parents to leave. I received a better education at public school than I did here and class sizes are roughly the same size. Faculty favor athletes, kids who have attended this school for life, and the children of faculty. When normal children get in trouble they get severely punished, however when children of families who donate to the school get off with little to-no punishment until they are given the option to leave the school with no strikes on their record. The school constantly finds ways to charge parents and ask for money. Greedy school. The final straw for my parents to pull my little sisters out of school was when the school forgot to add my sister into the yearbook and she came home crying about it. The school then tried to trap us into paying the full tuition for my two younger sisters even though they will be attending a different School this fall.The blatant racism, sexism, and homophobia present makes me sick to my stomach. If you aren't a picture-perfect gossip-lover, you will not belong here. Not to mention how often parents talk and spread rumors about other children, creating a toxic environment that their kids replicate. Prestonwood is withholding my diploma and transcripts (required to send to my college) until my parents pay off a 150$ tech fee. Bullying goes unnoticed, favoritism is prevalent, and costs are too high for a sub-par education and many scandals including but not limited to a student getting arrested for possession of child-porn and videos of underage girls found on staff member's youtube this year. read more

I graduated from Prestonwood in 2015. Best school in Texas by far & one of the best schools in the nation. Loving, caring, authentic, genuine, intelligent teachers who have helped me excel even now as a junior in college getting my Masters & majoring in International Business & minoring in Spanish. I felt a call to be a missionary because of the mission trips available here. Not to mention our basketball team was full of studs and I'm still playing basketball at UTA.
