Our family has had a wonderful experience at Legacy Christian Academy. Our three kids absolutely love going there and genuinely enjoy the environment and the friendships they're building. One of the things we appreciate most is how the school integrates faith into learning. It's very important to us that our children are learning about Jesus and growing spiritually while also receiving a strong education. We just moved to N Texas and needed to find a new school for our son. It was a difficult time to be looking for a new school due to the COVID situation. We did all of our research virtually. Legacy Christian was recommended to us but an administrator at our previous school in San Antonio. It is a little smaller than our previous school but they are a great community so far. Everything is a little different right now so this is not a review on how the school normally operates. They are taking many precautions in the current environment. There are currently only 12 students per classroom. They have food brought to the classroom in lieu of eating in the cafeteria. They wear masks when moving from room to room or working one-on-one. Parents are not allowed in the school or classrooms. So far there has been no reported cases of COVID in the lower school since school began on campus, Aug 13. So, what they are doing is working! The school is very Bible/Christian focused. My only concern right now is that the homework seems a bit easy compared to what we were used to. The parent/teacher conferences are coming up so I haven't yet addressed it. I just want to make sure my son is being challenged and right now, it doesn't seem that he is. Again, I haven't spoken with the teacher yet. It could be that they do more work at school and less at home...which is fine. I do know that he is getting a lot of individual attention with only 12 kids in the class! So far, we are enjoying this school. It seems to be a good fit overall. I will update my review if my opinion changes after a full school year here. read more

Legacy Christian is a huge disappointment. Most people write reviews from a malicious desire. I am a very credible parent with a history of knowledge regarding LCA. The hypocrisy you experience sending your child to this school will create more damage than good. They are known to pick and choose students they want to isolate. Then, find and gather information on students by calling students in one by one asking various and very inappropriate questions that turn student against student. During these interrogations, eventually, the student becomes exhausted by the interrogation. LCA takes that information, they take what they "heard" and share the information with another student and interrogate that student at random... and it goes on and on and on. These interrogations create extreme gossip in the school, which then isolates kids where they feel like an outcast.  Kids feel terrible about the judgment placed upon them, and this is an LCA tactic. One student, at random, last week, I abruptly ran into and did not know... was sobbing. I hugged her several times as she told me she felt so judged and alone and could not handle the pressure in her life. I did not know her, but she's another Legacy Christian Academy student. Another student called me crying two weeks ago (that I do know), stating she was asked uncomfortable and leading questions by her teacher. I have never complained on any platform or website, nor am I someone to speak up and vocalize negativity, but sending your kid to this school would be a big mistake for your child's future. I know numerous students who graduated from LCA confused about their faith because of the judgment that occurred during their academic years. In the past, I have paid tuition for other students who were not able to afford tuition. I sent all of my children to this school and supported the school and what it stood for over many years. Two of my kids were on the homecoming court, the National Honor Society, Football, and a Cheerleader. I have enough years and experience to feel vocally honest and helpful in sharing this review. Too many families have had similar experiences. If you want a Christian school that teaches true Christian principles, please trust me and look elsewhere. The founders who started this school had an amazing vision and are amazing Godly people. However, once they were no longer involved the school unfortunately went completely downhill. read more

I would like to give a big thank you to Annalise who helped me on the phone yesterday. My son's car broke down in front of the school and we called for a tow. The tow never showed up and the next day the PD tried to help us but they looked in the wrong parking lot and so we thought the car was missing. I called out of the blue and Miss Annalise was so kind to me and she even confirmed that the car was still there. My son was able to retrieve his car and I'm am so grateful. He is taking his Bar Exam next week as he just graduated from Liberty University School of Law. Annalise helped my very stressed out son and we are so happy to have someone like her in our community. Thank you Annalise you go above and beyond. As soon as my son finds a wife and has children, he plans to send them all to LCA so we are glad to meet you. And P.S. , I decided to buy my son a new Volvo because a young lawyer can't be breaking down all over town. read more

This is our first year at Legacy and it has been such a wonderful experience for both kids (1st and 6th). This school demonstrates Christian values at such a high level. There is comfort knowing that my children are in such a great hands when I drop them off each day. Overall a good quality, classic education comes out of LCA. Excellent teachers... and the facilities are modern and new. Athletic opponents are amazed at our ultra-cool Astroturf football field. This is an amazing school! The teachers are fantastic, class sizes are small and facilities are modern and new. Although it IS expensive, my child is thriving here. The college counseling alone is worth the tuition money. Enrollment was easy although some grades are quite full- we had to wait for an opening in my child's grade. My family and I are going into our 4th year at Legacy and we have never been happier. Our kids love this school and the teachers. The Christian values that the school and staff portray regularly, allows my kids to experience a safe, loving environment outside our home. As a parent, I love how all parts of the school are involved with each other. The high school kids come down and mentor the lower school kids. Football games are a whole school event that gets my kids excited. Our whole family has made lasting friendships. Legacy is a community. The staff are amazing at communication and are honest. I feel the teachers have flexibility that allow them to teach to individual children based on their needs. I also felt they did an amazing job at navigating the COVID situation. The school quickly had a plan in place that allowed our kids to have a smooth transition into distance learning. My son is in his third year here. Hands down the best school he's been too. Staff is awesome.

My husband and I toured with Legacy Christian and met with the director of admissions. She seemed so genuine and asked many questions about our 6yr old son. We were impressed with the school and we talked about our future with Legacy Christian. She made many remarks about how our son will love the school. We asked about teaching methods and she mentioned that teachers meet students "where they are" and each will have a different learning style if needed. This was all a lie. They took us down a whole road of applying, references, application fees etc, forms etc. The last step was to have our son meet with "Grace Evaluatiions" to quote "see which class they should place him in according to where he's at" (at a cost of $300). We received a call three days later that they will have to deny admittance to our son because "he is not up to speed and could get lost in the grade". This was terribly disappointing. They had never met him and based it all on a 3 hour psychology test for a 6yr old? Total hypocrisy and we were led blindly. I would not recommend this school to anyone and will make sure to keep spreading the word about this. read more

Legacy is an amazing school! My kids have attended this school for the past 7 years and I couldn't be more proud of our decision! I was looking for a school that implemented a rigorous curriculum where teachers taught with different learning styles in mind. This school has both! Students are able to think critically when applying concepts and are provided with opportunities of real world experiences. There is a strong partnership between teachers, administrators and parents who work together for the best interest of the student. It's not just words on a paper, they truly care about your children. One of my favorite pieces of LCA is that the teachers work together in lower and middle school to ensure there aren't any gaps in the curriculum from grade to the next ensuring that our students are prepared for the next grade level. My kids love it at Legacy! Every summer during the month of July, my daughter mentions that she misses school! That is a blessing! I love that my children are in a Christian environment! Our oldest child attended LCA beginning with Kindergarten & graduated from Legacy in 2012. He was easily accepted at both Texas A&M and UT. As a college freshman this year, he has found himself more than adequately prepared for the academic rigors of college. He is succeding at A&M and has thanked us countless times for allowing him to attend LCA and learn so much there. Legacy has grown since the school began (we have been there all 14 years) and that growth has done nothing but benefit the students. The Bible program teaches students to claim their beliefs and how to be able to defend those beliefs. The Academics at LCA are very stringent in order to prepare the students for any university that they choose. If they have trouble keeping up with the academics at LCA, the teachers and staff are more than willing to help them with their studies outside of regular class time. LCA's headmaster has a huge heart for Christ, as well as for all LCA students, and that clearly carries over to include each staff member, teacher and coach at LCA. You will not find a school in North Texas that can partner with you to help grow your child into the well rounded adult that God made him/her to be. read more

One of the things that peaked our interest was when we were in a restaurant 6 years ago and came across 20 high school students from LCA. They were so polite and well mannered. It should be known that ALL of the super ratings that LCA is given is by administration or families who have given huge endowments to the school. My 2 children have been at Legacy for 6 years and this is the most "hypocritical school we have ever been associated with" The kids are preached "Christian ideals constantly, but none are practiced here'" The teachers and admin turn their heads when we told them about severe bullying going on because it involved teachers kids and donors kids. Instead they encouraged the bullied kids to leave. What kind of Christian school does this?? The cajolers of the school run it! Just ask this last valedictorian how she got that position with her mother on the school board! We all know how she handled herself in the classroom for years brown nosing treachers and crying to them with every "B" she deservedly received. Shame on the teachers who cowtowed to her! You did her no favors in life! My quiet, shy, child who has never been in trouble a single day was bullied all through junior high by one family and the school turned their back on us because the dad was an attorney. Their twins are now graduated. but there is a sibling left. Save your money and go elsewhere if you want a REAL CHRISTIAN school! read more
