We trusted her enough, to where we didn't question when she would bring unknown people into our home while we were gone (though she never knew that we knew she did.) Up until the last visit it was communicated what it would cost prior to and payment would always be there for her. The most recent use of her services we did not know the cost before we left for the trip - so upon our return was an invoice (1st one ever from her) - $45 owed after we used up the remaining credit. No big deal, right? After failing to connect to pay her cash (she was given multiple opportunities to come by) and her 1st rejection of a credit card payment because of the "hefty fee" she would be charged - we opted to send a check - so the invoice was placed with the rest of the bills - within days a barrage of text messages - with the most recent ending in threats of collection - as if we have never had any sort of professional relationship - she just became unglued and a little discomforting for us - speaking derogatorily as we have never paid her before and as if we were taking advantage of her. This is someone we let into our home - showing a complete opposite side - someone we trusted. So, now sending her a picture message of the auto bill pay from the bank (as she requested) as proof she has been paid - yes, gratuity was added by us. Please, just to make it go away & hope we get our key back.
