I went to Prevene for a consultation on their "weight loss and advanced lifestyle programs" with the goal of simply learning new skills and tips to stay healthy and lose weight. I left with an intermittent fasting weight loss plan. Beth did not ask me if this plan worked for me (it doesn't), she did not inquire about my relationship with food and my body, or what's worked for me in the past. She talked at me using technical terms about fasting that were way over my head. She spent virtually no time getting to know me before putting me on a plan that I know won't work for me. My suggestion for those considering Prevene is 1) reconsider or 2) go in armed with the knowledge of what works best for you and your body. This place is fantastic. I would be shocked if anyone considered it less than the greatest place to get your annual physical. You get a 3D body scan with analysis about everything related to your health - the good and the bad. If you care about being and staying healthy, this is a necessary stop. read more

Having to go for my annual checkup I decided to try Prevene. A friend of mine recommended Prevene and he assured me that it was a better experience than the conventional annual physical visit from the past. Was he right, this was a whole new approach from the regular checking of my vitals to a 3 D body scan (very revealing but motivated me, lol!) After the initial exam (prick of finger for cholesterol, sugar, heart rate etc.) and the body scan I was turned over to Beth the nurse practitioner that was appointed to me. She took the time and reassured me that all looked good overall for a 63 year old and pointed out what could be improved in my diet and way of life with a short term objective and also for comparison for next years exam. I came out of her office motivated and with instant results of my exam. I was very impressed by overall experience and recommended it to my friends. I visited Prevene Wellbeing this morning it was unlike any primary care practice I have ever been to! Their primary focus is to prevent disease and treat symptoms through a functional medicine approach- finding the root cause of symptoms by assessing stress, sleep, exercise, diet, etc.- factors that contribute to our overall health. The office here is great. Vey modern decor in the waiting room and the front desk staff are always ready to answer questions and help. I've been seeing Beth for nearly 4 months and can already see a change in my relationship to health and food. I was referred by my primary care doctor and have been so impressed with the functional medicine approach. After nearly a year of doctors telling me they don't know what's wrong, Beth and prevene are focusing on how to heal the body and the dominos of health will fall from there.
