I have been a patient of Dr. Toubman for more than 10 years and would never ever think of going elsewhere. Dr. Toubman is available, even when on vacation and his staff can reach him at any time. I had a tooth ache and stopped by the office late on an emergency basis. The staff immediately took me in, made X-rays, and forwarded them to Dr. Toubman. He called my pharmacy, ordered an antibiotic to tide me over, then I met him the following Monday. He gave me options and has been checking in with me regularly to ensure all is okay. Dr. Toubman is one of a kind. I feel so secure in knowing he will do the best by me. I am so lucky to have Dr. Toubman right around the corner of my neighborhood. My entire experience with Dr. Strickland and his assistant Erin was fantastic through and through…read more I had a broken crown that had got extremely infected to where the odor of the infection could be noticed by other people during casual conversation. Most dentist I went to see about getting the crown fixed continuously pointed me in the most expensive direction which was to extract the tooth and get an implant. Dr. Strickland demonstrated that he cares about the patient more then financial gain because he was able to redo the horrible root canal that I had previously, salvage my tooth and he used a fiber post instead of a metal post for my crown knowing I have toddler children who occasionally head-but , punch , and kick my face (accidentally most of the time lol) preventing the crown to break as easy if he were to have put in a metal post. He is very diligent and precise in his work and I strongly suggest to use Dr. Strickland for all of your dental needs. Dr. Strickland's assistant Erin was a complete joy to have cleaning my mouth and did a great job of removing hardened Planck and stains from smoking off of my teeth. Even though it required a lot of hard scraping of the teeth and around the gums she was very careful and made sure I was comfortable for what could have been extremely painful if someone heavy handed and inconsiderate was doing the same work. I was able to leave the office with minimal pain and teeth that are now 3 shades brighter. On top of the good work , the office is a very present place to get work done and waiting for your appointment. When you walk in you are immediately greeted by the staff and the environment is very positive. From the cozy fireplace , the good music and modern decorations and equipment my experience was a 10/10. I would suggest Plainville family dental to anyone who needs any kind of dental work. I left the office assured that each step of my treatment would be coordinated with other doctors involved in it. The issues raised as soon I've scheduled with my periodontist to have the tooth extracted: I was told that the temporary device would take at least 3 weeks to deliver (at the initial visit, I was told that the device will be made on time to temporary replace the extracted tooth). At the initial visit, when I asked the doctor about the costs associated with my case, I was referred to the front desk. Later, I was surprised/alarmed when the front desk person got irritated when I asked for the information. To remain to be a patient of the doctor, it seems, I had to agree to be kept in the dark about the costs as well as about the time frame of my treatment. For myself I got a few cavities filled, the next day I was flossing and a piece of my tooth broke off! I knew they would try do the same to me so I am looking for a new office. I have never had issues with my teeth like that and just the fact that this has happened to both of us within the same week is concerning. Please beware. I will be going to a new dental office and filing complaints. I'm sure there are many more issues not being heard. They should not be able to continue with this type of malpractice.
