Most things were priced very reasonably and aisles were extremely well stocked and organized. They had everything we had on our list and also when we went there was a wine tasting which they have on Saturdays from 1pm - 5pm. They had a neat little system at the register to make lines go quickly. Each register had two people and while one rang all the items the other packaged/ bagged it all up. Folks were friendly and made small talk as we checked out. Good service. Well stocked. Good prices.

I like checking out different businesses but wow, the appalling attitude and rudeness they have towards customers, lying to your face and snickering about it to another worker next to them. Absolutely atrocious behavior of these new people up here. Be careful, they own these businesses as well, so you will get the same treatment: -the Dunkin' Donuts in Frostburg and La Vale -the liquor store in the Frostburg Plaza -the vape shop in the plaza with the Dollar General (there used to be the Pharmacare pharmacy in that spot) -the Jamaica Junction store in Frostburg -the liquor store in the Country Club Mall -the Checkers in La Vale And who knows which else will be bought next and ruined by their attitude and how they treat their customers?

I had gone there many years ago and had many of the same complaints however about a year ago I retried and was pleasantly surprised by changes that were made. I now go every few weeks for different craft beers and other "necessities" and always find it to be very well stocked, clean, and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The best part about Total Discount - they let you do mix-six packs! From what I have found, they are one of the remaining stores in the area that allow this. I highly recommend them for anything you may need liquor wise and if you are into different craft beers, this is hands down the only place to go in Carroll County. Side note - no one has ever asked or tried to make a copy of my license there. My feeling of this story is that the cashier probably wanted to SCAN the barcode on the back of the ID. That's not for creating a database as the store is strictly prohibited from doing that by law unless the customer gives consent. Maryland DOES HIGHLY RECOMMEND that each store scan all IDs with liquor sales to ensure the ID isn't fake. Many stores have a policy to do this, due to State and Local pressure. Certainly you can't hold the store accountable for this.
