There should be an investigation regarding the management of the bakery. They are always short staffed and it's mostly due to the manager named Maria or Marie - she has been rude to her new hires and have pushed people out of the company. I don't know why this place has a low rating,the meat prices are cheaper than other places and the worker are friendly.One gentleman that works at the meat dept. goes out of his way to tell you about deals. I'm honestly not sure why this place has such a low rating. The store was clean, the produce was fresh for the most part (certainly no less fresh than Kroger) and the prices reasonable. This used to be a Shop and Save and wasn't a good grocery then. It was bought out and now it's even worse. The produce and meat departments are terrible. There are no healthy options to be found. I think the worst part is that it's so expensive. You'll spend less at Kroger or Giant Eagle. Cheat Lake deserves better. read more

I'm not sure what prices were cut. I spent $130 and did not even get any meat besides a small package of ground beef. They also have a "deal" on meat , 5/$25. The packages are so small that it isn't worth it. I'll stick to krogers and aldi. read more

I don't recommend this store anymore. The workers are just rude, don't want to do anything to help you and when by chance you can get someone to help its like you killed a best friend. They sales are a joke. They don't stock the sale stuff till sale is over then they leave the sale tags so they can steal from customers by making think sale still going on when it's not. SEAFOOD DELI: Blue crabs were the worse, $1.99 each and light as air with hardly any meat in them. Almost all of them were light in weight, so I purchased one crab, went to my car to test it out before buying many and I never went back in the store to buy more. The one crab was terrible, dry and no taste. You could almost smash the crab with your hands as they were light as a feather. Pork chops: looked very healthy. You purchased a large package. Change for over the amt bill: I got a $20 over the amount and asked for smaller bills and I was told they don't do change. I said, I just purchased groceries there 20 dollar bill was just given to me from the machine. The lady behind the counter said it's their policy not to give change/ smaller bills. read more

Pricier than some other grocery stores, if you really may attention to prices you will notice this. But, it's clean, has a good variety of food selections, and decent fresh produce. It's my go to in a pinch and when I don't feel like dealing with a crowd. Somedays short lines are enough to make it worth paying a little more. read more

While it is not a glossy, bright, superstore, this Price Cutter is a older, small hometown store. Yes, selection options are limited, but it is an easy to get around while pushing a cart. ALL of the staff are friendly and helpful. The meat and deli staff are accommodating of special requests. ( Deli closes at 7pm ). The deli and meat departments are good and generally offer the lowest prices in Morgantown. The freshly ground sausage (in normal and spicy Italian), is very good, fresh and lean. The produce dept is small but has a good selection. They offer many specials. I find it the best store to buy bananas because they are blemish-free. The fresh bakery products are yummy, offering special order cakes, plus a wide selection of cookies, pies, donuts. This store does not carry many Organic foods. If you shop the weekly ad, you will usually find that the sale items are in stock. Join their Price Cutter rewards program, to earn "Pump Rewards", which offers gasoline discounts at local BFS gas stations. They provide a few self-serve checkouts, but usually offer at least 2 cashier operated checkout options. I rarely have a error in prices. What Price Cutter lacks in wide selection, it makes up in heart, friendliness and customer service. Recently ordered tray of 32 pc. Fried Chicken for church dinner. It was TERRIBLE!!! There was only two different kind of pieces: wings and big pieces of something (thigh? breast?), whose seasoned, greasy skin fell off when picked up. At past occasions after dinner the remaining pieces are quickly packed up in "take out" containers - not this time. Church should be refunded for this purchase - and will never order their Fried Chicken again. read more

This store is a total FAIL. Produce is nasty, gross, wilted, and over-priced while they don't even offer fresh bunches of parsley and cilantro like Shop 'n' Save used to. Their off-brand English muffins (made in Canada for goodness sake) tasted like cardboard and were stale. Their self-check out kiosks suck too. Prices are terrible and the store isn't real clean either. They need to either bring back Shop 'n' Save or another decent, upscale grocery franchise because this third-rate store isn't measuring up on this side of town. Everybody crowds into the Kroger at Sabraton, it's always jammed there. read more
