They only have these items in Morgantown. Dietz & Watson deli meats and their bakery for a supermarket are very good. The reason I gave 4 stars, not 5, is that they often run out of the items I want. read more

This Giant Eagle underwent a major rennovation a couple of years ago and has been on a slow, downhill spiral since then. Aisles were widened and store departments rearranged . . . but then major brand items began disappearing. There are now places on shelves that used to hold twelve different items from twelve different manufacturers - they currently hold twelve items of the same brand spaced out to make the shelf look full. The bakery department is listed as being open until 9 PM but is sold out by 3 PM on a daily basis and no one is around. I'm beginning to wonder if this location is preparing to go out of business. Disappointing since this is my neighbourhood store. read more

I have shopped at the Greenbag location for over 30 years and it has and will be the store I shop. The size is perfect. Excellent produce, fresh, organics, and friendly staff. Its the way a grocery store should be. Unlike the large box stores, and huge supermarkets that takes a hour to go from one side of the store to the other. Not my idea of a good shopping experience. Giant Eagle Pharmacy, Greenbag Rd. told us over the phone we did not need an appointment to receive our booster shots. But, when we arrived they turned us away. Overnight they had changed back to needing a appointment, which is their right to do so. However, there was no, "Sorry, we went back to appointments," or "would you like to make an appointment," all they gave us was a defensive attitude for our inconvenience. FYI- Giant Eagle UTC, was able to give us our boosters without appt. But highly recommend calling ahead and getting a persons name. And I'll be taking my business to this location in the future. read more

Personable experienced staff, quality items, not nearly has hectic as larger grocery stores in town and we find 97-98 percent of what we're looking for... a number on par with other stores in town.. Store layout is logical- not driven by sponsors pushing their product in weird but prominent spaces. read more

I would like to say, I am not usually this person. I have shopped at this store since it opened and work for a corporate company right above the store which ordered cakes monthly. GREENBAG ROAD STORE # 59 I ordered a Unicorn cake almost a month in advance and was reassured that it would be a simple cake. They actually had a bunny one that was similar in that case at the time that I ordered. Fast forward about two weeks I went in to add cupcakes to my order. My ordered cake was chocolate with buttercream, so I ordered yellow cupcakes with whipped icing. Now first when I went to order the cupcakes the employee didn't know in what numbers cupcakes came in, so I said I need 20, but if they come in dozens I'll take two. She said she would note that along with that the cupcakes should match the cake. Great! So imagine my surprise when I came to pick up the bakery items. Number 1 the cupcakes were chocolate and yellow and marked as buttercream. They also didn't necessarily match. And the cake, ha! I couldn't even figure out the cake and I wasn't shown the cake with lid off. So I knew at pick up that at least the cupcakes were off from the order, also they gave me 20 cupcakes in an obvious 24 cupcake container. I didn't have time to argue about the cupcakes and since I wasn't shown the cake unboxed I couldn't really tell how bad it was. I had my three kids in tow and couldn't really argue the day before the birthday party and Easter Sunday. Once I unboxed the cake the next day I was horrified. How do I show this to my daughter! I chalked it up to it is what it is and we will have this too look back at and laugh. I posted it on my personal Facebook as a good laugh. With a lot of pushback I was strongly encouraged to call the store. So I did just that on Monday April 02, 2018. My daughter's birthday. I called and kind of hemmed around, I hate making calls like that. Pam Bleigh answered and said I could speak to her that she is a manager. After trying to get out that I wasn't exactly thrilled with my order, she informed me I could come for a refund on the cake, didn't want to hear about my cupcakes and scolded me when I asked if she would like me to bring in pictures. She shamed me instead of apologizing as any customer service representatives do. She shamed me " I don't need pictures, We are well aware of this cake because you posted it all over social media! You should have at least called us before blasting it on social media!" Pam said. She then very quickly said I could come for a refund and hung up. I was FURIOUS! Not about the cake or cupcakes. About her shaming me, as a customer instead of apologizing. NOT ONCE did she apologize. I quickly made a trip down to the store, with my poor daughter in tow , ON HER BIRTHDAY! I'm not proud at my anger and the fact that I said a curse word in public, in front of my child on her birthday. BUT, I am more than let down by your employees lack of integrity, support and customer service! To shame a customer about her own PERSONAL social media! And then instead of apologizing tell me "oh the employee who made the cake was in training." WHAT A TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE COP OUT! Where was her manager or any customer service rep to check over and manage what goes out to the customer. Shame on your employees for not having respect for customers and blaming a poor trainee. I hope you find this letter and re train your employees. I have never been so mistreated. read more

This is a smaller store, but still has a great selection of goods. The produce is always extremely fresh and I prefer going here than to Kroger for it. They have a nice little organic/gluten-free section as well. I can always find my basics and a few of my specialty allergen-free goods. I tend to come here if I need to get smaller orders because it is rarely as busy as other grocery stores in the area. It lost one star for me because the selection of fresh meat is pretty small, but it is to be expected for a smaller location. read more
