A fun gay bar outside of the gay neighborhood. It's festive, bright and pink on the inside and offers delicious and STRONG drinks. I had the espresso martini and I got a nice buzz from that. The staff are friendly. A great place to stop by after walking around.

Super cute bar in Amsterdam. They have a few nice heated outdoor patios, as well as indoor seating. The inside was very cute, decorated in pink with lots of little tables and it felt very intimate. The drink menu was pretty cool, with all the standard bar stuff, and some really cute cocktails. We had the Strawberry Espresso Martini which was delightful. We also grabbed the toasties and bitterballen, which were delicious as well.

Spicy cilantro prosecco??!?!?!?

Prik my stik!! Tired of boring ass bars were pretentious sour pusses spend exuberant amounts of energy looking amazingly good so that no one can penetrate their pompous auras to actually talk to them?? Bored of seeing the same sea of overly exaggerated v-necks showing shiny well-defined double mounded pectoral muscles complemented with eyebrows so slick and perfect that girls dare nought compete? Looking for a place to relax after work, on the weekends and even for Sunday Funday after brunch??? Fancy champagne on tap, an outside terrace away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam life, or just over the top pink furniture?!???????? THEN BRING YO' STICK, OVER TO PRIK!! And what a truly VERSATILE place prik is! I've seen guys in suits after work, woofy dudes with open shirts, eurovision events, daily specials, amazing cock.... tails, super friendly staff, a small dance floor, funky furniture... From top to bottom... literally, this place has it all! Oh and did I mention the bitterballen/champagne special on Sundays?!? Need I say more?

We were wandering down Spuistraat when we noticed a bunch of good-looking guys sitting outside in the sun enjoying beer and cocktails. We couldn't help but take advantage of the sun shining down on the tables and joined the crowd to have a few beers. After we started drinking some lesbians showed up too, so it was a big party in the middle of the day. What fun! The service was quick and the prices were cheap by SF standards!

We stumbled upon Prik after doing a cheese tasting class. Their outdoor patio is nice! Great colorful chairs. Inside is comfortable and there is a big fat cat that will greet you. Very cute. Their menu is very nice - the cocktails are very good and not a bad price! The crowd is mix - both sexes - which is nice because you can be yourself. The bar staff was very attentive. We will for sure stop back by!

If you are a tourist, you tend to get a rather rude treatment. I am sitting at the bar and I am getting soaking wet by the bartenders washing the glasses. I ordered a drink listed on the cocktail special and I had wait 20 minutes for the drink. If you order drink make sure it is beer, wine or a simple cocktail.

Hate this bar! Rude bar staff, claustrophobic and no atmosphere. Yuck go somewhere else

Cute quaint little gay bar. Came here for happy hour so not too crowded when I came in. Nice bartenders.

Located minutes from Vondelpark, in Leidseplein, this is probably the most famous Gay clubs in…read moreAmsterdam, and can be quite intimidating to even the most seasoned event attendees. The front entrance is not very welcoming and if you're not there at the right time the doors may be locked. There may be daily events which you can view on their website. On some days there are two separate events so it may be closed while they switch over and clean for the second event. When you enter, walk through the two doors and greet the nice people at the window. Pay your entrance fee with pin, cash or debit and they will give you a tag and direct you to the coat check. They will give you a hanger and a number you need to stick in your sock or somewhere (very old school). Then you go to a little room (they can see you changing from the main room) and remove your clothing or change into whatever, put your street clothes on the hangar or into the backpack or bag (which I certainly hope you brought) and return it to them. After this, you are free to do what you want. On the main level there is the bar and stage. You can dance or socialize. There are steps upstairs or downstairs. Downstairs there are several dark rooms and showers, bathrooms and sinks. The darkrooms are so dark I can't describe what's in there. You need to see for yourself. There are separate cabins where you can lock the doors and there are slings in some of them. The other rooms I could not see. Upstairs is a nice view of the bar and the main stage. Off to the left are two slings and a big mattress area, a few smaller rooms with GHs. There is something for everyone here but if you just want to hang out and chat with friends, that works too, but mostly on the main level. Things to note: There are no towels for the showers. They provide condoms and I'm not sure if it's lube or hand sanitizer - so think about that. They have many friendly staff or volunteers standing and walking around willing to help or answer questions. They also pick up empty glasses or bottles which is important. My advice is to not stress and just go in and have fun. You can always leave if you want to. Everyone is very nice and feeling the same way as you are. Don't let this chance pass you by if you're visiting Amsterdam and the Leidseplein area. Gay, straight, bi are welcome. No judgement or rules. You'll thank me later.

You'll want to bring a backpack or tote bag to keep you phone and clothes in at coat check. Also, the bars do tap to pay on Apple Watch, otherwise you'll have to get creative on where to put your credit card. After the second round of drinks my credit card company blocked my card as a fraud alert (despite having a travel notification), guess they thought it was late for me to be at "Church" :-) Bartender was fine with waiting as hubby went back to coat check to grab a physical card. The entire staff throughout is very friendly and the place is clean. Lots of various activities going on in each corner or room. Water based lube is in the hand sanitizer pumps next to the other supplies. Be careful going down the steps into the restroom as the steps are not very wide and hold on to that handrail! The night we went was the underwear party. DJ was great and so were the drinks. A lot of different guys were here with different body types and very welcoming. Have fun and let go!

Definitely a fun mix of atmosphere, with an interesting mix of people. During my stay in Amsterdam I went here twice. The first was a busy Friday night, the second time was a quiet Monday night and it was neat seeing how the space was used differently on the different nights. The only downside to this place was on the slower night, when the bartender didn't speak English, and I got some interesting drinks made (but a part of that was also just being unfamiliar with European tender customs - like what mixers are available, what mixers need to be paid for, etc).
