Hubbub is a locally owned, hip, and trendy specialty store in downtown Centralia. They carry hand made scarves, hats, womens shoes, jewelry, ornaments, lip balm, handcrafted night lights, drink coasters designed like LPs, artistic clocks and mirrors. . . . and the list goes on. If you are looking for a great gift or something to decorate your home then look no further than Hubbub. I needed a unique gift, but just could not figure out what to buy. Rebecca took the time to show me around the store and assist me. She was the perfect salesperson- making sure she asked the appropriate questions so the receiver would be happy with a personal gift. I can't thank her enough! If you are looking for something unique, original, and locally owned then visit Hubbub. You won't be disappointed.

The store is small but worth a peak for specialty items that I haven't seen anywhere else. A bit north of downtown antiquing.. a little bit further than Boccata Deli (also 5 stars) - make a day of it and visit, betcha leave with a little something that makse you smile.

A nice little science stop a few miles off I-5. While the Johnston Observatory is closed due to…read moreroad repairs, this facility offers a fine alternative for those interested in volcanoes and specifically, Mt. St. Helens. Usual displays and short film. A wetlands boardwalk hike of under 1 mile just outside the building. All this is in the boundaries of Seaquest State Park. And yes, there is a nice view of Mt. St. Helens, though it's approximately 40 miles away (as the crow flies). Admission to the center is $5/each. Not sure how this fee works with the WA State Park fee for Seaquest State Park.

Very beautiful visitor center. It reopened in 2025 after being closed for renovations and I have to…read moresay, the architecture is GORGEOUS with vaulted ceilings and large windows to let in the surroundings. There's wood paneling which helps you feel immersed into nature. There's an informational desk about the area, helpful for visitors newish to the area or those with questions. The gift shop is also accessible with the usual offerings of post cards, tchotchkes, and such. Do note that the restrooms are accessible outdoors at the side of the building. There's a pay area part of the center which is $5/18+, $2.50/7-17, free for 6 years old or younger, and family $15 for 2 adults and children 7-17 years old. They also honor veteran's disabled pass, WA state disabled pass, and senior limited income pass. It's definitely worth the admission, since there's a lot of exhibits explaining the geology of the area, the flora and fauna, the native peoples, and the later commercial and recreational uses of the area. There's even a place where you can walk into a huge mock up of Mt St Helens! Very fun. They have a short film playing about the eruption too. I didn't get to explore much outside as it was super rainy, but I saw a boardwalk trail out in the back. I did not see Mt St Helens due to the weather, but I'll be back when the weather is nicer!

We came 30 minutes after they opened and their cake selection was not ready yet unfortunately. If you want the full menu come a few hours after opening. The prices for the tiered menu is a little wild for me. However, their prices for the regular food and drinks are reasonable. The sandwich was delicious, and a very good size to split. However they do charge a $2 sharing fee which i find silly when places do this. Their drinks were also very yummy and the caramel latte had a cute caramel swirl on the foam. The table placements are so gorgeous and just a lovely vibe overall. I do wish there was maybe a wall barrier or divider from the cafe and the shop because it does feel very cluttered and compact. The customer service is AMAZING. They have such kind people working. I called in to make a reservation and the lady that picked up was so kind and patient explaining all the levels of the services. The baristas were so so sweet and easy to talk with. Genuinely the best customer service i have ever had at a cafe.
