I was happy to learn that Ashton had landscape construction knowledge, and had worked with the wholesale nursery before, and had the equipment and crew to get the whole project done. Most importantly, they were willing to take it on, even with scheduling picking up and delivering the mature tree from Hilo. It was impressive to watch it all happen. Because my yard is solid bluestone under a few inches of dirt, two machines were brought in to excavate a 3 foot deep, 5 foot diameter hole. Then the 85 gallon tree was delivered, and with entire crew involved, the tree was artfully maneuvered into place and planted. The tree is healthy and happy and I am enjoying the much needed shade. I couldn't be happier with the excellent and professional service and expertise.

(this is where the came on strong part applies). Called me daily, several times a day requesting the $800 deposit, almost desperate. I sent it to him in good faith thinking he needs the work. Im happy to support community, and admire hard working business owners. He received the deposit, then asked me to send him money for the materials ( he claims he was low on cash). I asked if I could pay directly to vendors to protect my funds. He said sure. Next morning he sends me what looked like an invoice for the supplies for $430. I reimbursed him. 3 weeks go by not a word from him. I left daily VM, and texts. Nothing back. I was advised to file a police report for thief.. I'll keep you folks posted. JK

I never knew when the previous company would be on-site and would get invoices months later, so I didn't know if the work was actually done.
