Worst experience I've ever had with a medical office. The lab staff and receptionists were extremely unprofessional -- they rushed me off the phone, didn't listen to my concerns, and repeatedly miscommunicated information to the doctor. When I tried to ask questions about serious side effects from a prescribed medication, I was spoken to rudely and even yelled at. I've personally known someone who died from complications due to medication side effects, so I take this seriously. I called the office seven times trying to get a safer alternative, and each time I was either ignored, misunderstood, or given another medication with severe side effects. Instead of showing concern, they made me feel like a burden for simply wanting treatment that won't put my health at risk -- especially considering my age and medical history. I was brought to tears by how I was treated. I am absolutely done with this office and will never return. It's clear that they prioritize speed over safety, do not take individual risks or age into account, and have no interest in genuinely communicating with or supporting their patients. read more

I have been calling for weeks, and every time I call they say that they're closed and I'm actually calling on the days they say they're open. And I call within the hours of business, and still no one picks up the phone. I have called several times requesting an explanation to a bill. Because I already paid it. And they're trying to double bill and all I get is a duplicate bill. What's going on here all I want to do? Is see my doctor I have a very busy schedule and I barely have time to show up to talk to a bunch of old sarcastic. women who's think they can talk to anyone any kind of way? If the doctor's here only knew that they keep smile on their face. But they treat their patients who are not Caucasian wrong. I'm sorry but wah-wah, imagine living in Europe where it takes months to get an appointment. Yes, it does take a while to get in to see your doctor especially since they only have 9 to 5 (or so) appointment times. In any case, if you have an emergency where you need to see your doctor, they'll get you in. Sure you'll have to wait a while but if it's a life threatening emergency, get to a hospital since this is a small clinic. They draw blood, send you out for additional tests when needed and work with other doctors to get you fixed up. I've been seeing Dr. P for about four years and I've seen other doctors when she's been unavailable and when there's an emergency, they'll do whatever they can to help you or direct you to another source. I'll never forget the day I called the office and left a frantic message while in Germany, you'd better believe the doctor on call got in touch with me and spent a good 20+ minutes on the phone with me, calming me down and helping me decide on the next steps. The staff has a job to do and if they come off as abrasive at times, it's because they are trying to drive a point home. They're there to collect your copay, make an appointment and get you going. They're also very good at consoling you when you feel like you're world's come to an end. The nurses and technicians are also very kind and you always feel as if there's no other patients since they all take pride in focusing on you when it's your turn. I have had Dr.P as my primary Dr for years now and she is the best Dr. I have ever had. She makes you feel comfortable enough to talk to her about anything. No matter how many people are waiting, she has never rushed me . Bc I have been seeing her for so long, she knows my habits, my past illnesses, and knows works best for me. I never had a problem getting an appointment. When one of the Drs left, they took on her patients also so I waited for about a half hour before getting into the exam room but that is not on the norm. read more

I recently chose this practice for my GP because of it's location and convenience. I was a little concerned from the reviews but I needed a annual exam so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did!! The office is SO nice and inviting. The decor is modern, the reception staff were polite and helpful, the nurses we SO nice and Dr. Lacuesta was very nice as well. Plus, their whole records system was computerized so my prescription was immediately sent to my insurance service and mailed to my house within days (normal timeframe). Dr Niek is an amazing dr. You just get the feeling after seeing her that she really cares about her patients. Even something as small as a cold she will try and help you get better. All the nurses and staff in general are really nice. read more

I'm with everyone here- I LOVE Dr. P., she was my doc for many years, and I'd see Dr. Lacuesta when she wasn't available, whom I also adore. Wonderful, caring, professional docs, they wold get six stars from me! But the staff? OH. MY. GOD. I had many terse interactions with the staff in the past, but the proverbial straw was when I showed up at opening because I knew I was suffering from a miscarriage, and I was turned away because they were "just too busy." WHAT? Who turns away a woman having a miscarriage? It turned out to be ectopic, and I'd have had to go to e.r. probably anyway, but really? AWFUL. read more

Dr. Calabrese is an excellent physician. Any wait time is more than compensated by his excellent service. It is rare to find a family physician who goes above expectations regularly keeping long hours sacrificing time with his own family. He does not rush visits with patients but thoroughly considers their symptoms/concerns. I have been looking for a new doctor for some time and am relieved to have found him. read more

Dr. Jose Huerta has been my primary doctor for about 5 years now. He really takes his time to listen to you, explains everything and makes you feel at ease. The girls working the front desk are great. Some speak Spanish and Polish, since many people in this area don't speak English it's very helpful. The nurses are very professional. When I make an appointment I never wait longer than 10 minutes, and usually I don't have to wait at all. I had issues with getting my blood drawn since I can remember. They just can't find a vein and when they finally do the blood stops (every doctor's office and hospital I been to). I'm so grateful that Dr. Huerta gives me the option to get the blood drawn from my neck by him. I know it sounds scary but I don't have a choice. I literally had 7 separate visits for blood work with no results few years ago. He is saving me time, pain, aggravation and my veins thank him for it. They have plenty of parking next to the clinic and behind by the hospital side too. read more

I hate to write a negative review about Dr. Lacuesta... but I'm going to have to. Her as a doctor.. awesome! She knows what she's doing, actually listens and tries to figure out ever solution to your problem and is just genuine... I have been going to her for many years. My biggest complaint.. her office. The people she has working for her.. mostly the women answering the phone.. are absolutely TERRIBLE. They are rude and unwilling to help. I don't need a snobby/snide comments when I ask to speak to the doctor or ask for a different appointment.. Also, getting in with a doctor is impossible. Lacuesta is down to two days a week and is booked sometimes a month in advance. They can't even get you in for an emergency appointment. I had something very serious going on that I NEEDED to talk to my doctor about... as she has been working with me.. and the phone lady told me to go to a take care clinic at Walgreen's. Good practices, huh? And forget about asking them to contact you if there's a cancellations... again, rude and snobby.. and pretty much DO NOT care about patients. Oh, and I was once sent to collections when I indeed paid the bill. Oh.. and they're cash only. Like I said.. I really love Laquesta.. but due to her horribly staffed practice, I will have to find a new doctor that will actually be able to accommodate me. read more

Jumping on the 2 star band wagon. I have been seeing Dr. Lacuesta for several years and I really like her. I like Dr. Papanastassiou also on the few occassions I have seen her. I HATE the idea of finding a new doctor, but I just can't deal with this office anymore. I have been calling for days to try to make an appointment. I keep getting a busy signal. No matter when I call - unless of course they are closed. Last month my daughter found a lump in her breast and they gave her an appointment 3 weeks out! Unbelievable. And yes, the 'cash only' thing, in this day and age, is ridiculous. And if you write a check it will be over 60 days before they cash it. At this point I have decided to start looking for a new doctor. read more

I recently had to change insurance plans and also had to find a new GP. I was very hesitant at first to change it but I did not have a choice as my old GP doesn't take my new insurance. I decided to make an appointment at prime care as they were accepting new patients and they were able to get me in to see one of their doctors very quickly. I saw Dr. Naik, who needless to say is one of the best GPs I have ever had. She was very kind and compassionate. I went in for a paps smear and a general checkup and she made me feel so comfortable and took the time to get to know me as it was my first time seeing her. She may look young but she is extremely knowledgeable and an intelligent woman. I know I will definitely be taking my kids to her too from now on and for sure recommend her to anyone looking for a new GP. She is awesome! read more

Love this practice - all the doctors here are great, especially Dr LaCuesta who is awesome, so nice and caring. Yes, they work part time, but they have lives too, just like all of us, and it's not a problem seeing any of the doctors on staff. All types of doctors book weeks to months in advance, that's just the way it is. A true emergency needs to go to the ER anyway. read more

I have been going to Prim care for 20 years. All the Doctors are awesome and care about the patients. Dr. Calbrese delivered my Daughter! Dr. P and DR. Lacuesta are awesome too. The staff are great. They know that patients by name and are very accommodating. They are the nicest and my favorite of all of the medical offices that I have ever attended. Thanks to all of them. Oh wow, LaLaLa, I too have the same experience now when dealing with Prime Care! I really thought I was the only one and my family. I cannot believe Dr. Calabrese has not taken control of this huge problem with his staff. Surely, other's have said something or maybe not. I came here tonight because of the exact issues you stated. II really dread the thought of changing doctors after sooo many years but our family is absolutely getting worn out dealing with this office. The Doctors I think are the best if you can tolerate the horrible waiting and out right rude administration staff. Oh and about the bills, here too!! Dr. P and Dr. Lacuesta are both great! I agree with the other reviews of the receptionists though. The strange thing for me is they seem really rude on the phone but nice in person, The wait times vary a lot. There have been times I've been called in within 5 mins of my appointment and other times that I have waited almost 2 hours. I have been going to Dr. Papanastassiou for many years now and she is so great with her patients. She listens intently, gives sound advice, is compassionate and professional and a pleasure all around. In the past I have had to wait in the waiting room for maybe a little longer, but I know that she is going to give the attention and time needed when I get into the examine room too, so it doesn't bother me. I've also had some abruptness with the staff in the past but it seems like at least the one woman I recall is no longer there. Nonetheless, I wouldn't want to give Dr. P. a lower rating just because of 1 office staff member. Dr. P. is a great doctor and I highly recommend her to anyone needing to find a new one. read more
