Especially when his partner denied my husband samples that were in plain eyesight. The same partner that misdiagnosed my husbands strep throat. My husband could not swallow and was drooling with a raging fever. I had to call an ambulance because he was at risk of choking. Nonetheless, he was hospitalized for 2 days on IV antibiotics. Worst practice and most pompis doctors I have ever encountered. We switched doctors office immediately.

The examination itself was limited to vital signs. Dr. Szabo then indicated that she would return shortly, but instead a nurse entered the room. I asked the nurse whether Dr. Szabo could return to address my remaining questions, and the nurse stated that she would locate her. After waiting an additional 30 minutes without an update, we left the examination room and observed Dr. Szabo at her workstation. When the nurse again attempted to check whether Dr. Szabo was available, Dr. Szabo screamed/responded harshly that I "was supposed to leave 30 minutes ago." At that point, my remaining questions had still not been addressed, and I left the office without receiving the consultation expected from the visit. Including commute time, the appointment required nearly two hours and concluded without resolution of my medical concerns.

He is incredibly empathetic, and he has great bedside manner. He takes his time with his case history and his exam, and he also leaves plenty of time at the end for any questions or concerns that hadn't been addressed. He's only prescribed and ordered what I feel are necessary medications and lab tests, and he personally calls us with our blood work results. I have never had a doctor call me personally. So in summary if you're looking for a great PCP in the Park Ridge area, I would highly recommend Dr. Evans and please please disregard the negative review from several years ago.

Both Shirley and Jennifer (NPs) are always fantastic! I've seen them a handful of times throughout the years and the bed side manner, attitude and personalities are amazing. The office staff have always been amazing as well! From the medical assistants to the front desk. Can't say enough good things. Always prompt to pick up the phone, short hold times, I can always reach someone which is huge! My appointments are always scheduled, never any issues with that. They inform me promptly if there are any changes to coverage and call for reminders which is nice. Billing is never an issue as well. Overall highly recommend the practice! I have a ton of family and family friends in medicine so there's always a plethora of knowledge around me; and different opinions. I went on my insurance website and took down bios for about 20 doctors. From there, I vetted them by specialty, location and reviews.I wanted someone personable, who I could relate to, and most importantly- someone smart who knew what they were talking about. I found everything and more in Dr. Daniel. Dr. Daniel is not only smart but she's fantastic at explaining the chemical processes going on in your body. She teaches for Swedish Covenant so she's well versed in all the common questions (that her residents have). She also believes firmly in the osteopathic approach to medicine. That pretty much means she believes in the "whole body" approach instead of just focusing on the body as separate organs. She has an open mind and believes with going with what works. Finally she is personable and encouraging. We talked about random stuff and she made me feel so comfortable. Making an appointment was simple and the office did not feel like a typical medical office. It's located at a former office/administrative building so there is a ton of marble and wall sconces. I decided to try this physician. It was time for my physical, no major issues. The minute I got in, the front office seemed to be super hectic and stressed. They checked me in, no smile, no hello, cold and impersonal. I sat in the waiting room for quite a bit, around 30 minutes and I was getting antsy. I walked to the front desk to ask how much longer will I wait. I was told doctor will see you when she will see you. Welp, that's a bit odd I thought. I waited another 45 minutes. Again, no one bothered to say anything nor apologized to me. I got up again and I said to the front desk person that I am leaving. She informed me that if I leave now I will be charged $30.00 no show fee. I responded to her that I showed up for my scheduled appointment but your doctor failed. They called her in and I was seen within another 10-15 minutes. I really wished I have left when I had a chance. The doctor acted like nothing happened. No apologies, no acknowledgement of 2 hour delay. What professional does this??? She was useless in answering my questions. I ask her about some pain in my ribs and I also suggested possible reason. She just went with it and agreed with me. It's almost like she was trying to get rid off me, which actually makes sense taking under consideration she was two hours behind. I have never seen such a poor treatment of a patient in the physician office. Make a judgement for yourself but I highly discourage anyone to even consider this office for any medical treatment you may need.
