I dropped my dog off for the first appointment of the day. The shop was very clean, the people are very friendly and professional. The dog was groomed and ready to go home in just 1 1/4 hours. Christine did an awesome job! He looks handsome and we are both quite happy.

We are new to the area and took our matted Marco in for a much needed haircut. I expressed to them that Marco hates being hairless and they did an amazing job without shearing him. Sorry to the one that Marco bit when we first arrived.

I've been taking my pup here for over three years. I can't say I hate the job they do but I always ask them NOT to trim his ears and every, single time they do. He usually gets a pretty short cut but this time I asked for more of a trimming/cleanup. I honestly don't think they touched his body. His paws were trimmed and his underbelly trimmed--a little. He smells great but I can't really tell that he was "groomed". Also I throw up in my mouth a little when I see the 45 signs at the door! read more

We took in all four dogs at once! When is a long hair great Pyrenees St. Bernard mix, that no other groomer has ever sent home without hair flying off of her. She smells good she's not shedding they trimmed her up beautifully. We also have two Maltese Chihuahua mixes that no other groomer has been able to trim their nails. And I don't know what they did to the beagle mix but her coat is clean and shiny and soft like it's never been. Will definitely be using Primp My Pooch from now on read more

We love Primp my Pooch! We have been bringing our female Tibetan Terrier Chloe for over 3 years. They are so very clean and friendly. They always cut her hair the way I ask and they do an excellent job. Extremely professional. Their prices are very reasonable as well. read more

Ive been going to Primp My Pooch for a couple years now and my dog is always happy when I drop her off there. They're good groomers but most importantly, it's always clean, the animals are always happy and they don't keep my dog for any longer than necessary. Highly recommmended! read more

I have been in the Myrtle Beach area for over seven years and I don't even want to say how many groomers I have tried and they always groomed my pomeranian who is an older dog much to short!!!! Actually the last groomer actually shaved her..... seriously!!!!! What a joke!!! I found Primp my Pooch on Facebook and figured what the heck I will give them a try. Well let me tell you, I AM SO GLAD I DID! They are great and my dog looks amazing. They did what I asked, reasonably priced and she looks great. Give them a try, you won't be sorry read more

I was recommended by a neighbor to take my girl her for her haircut...it will be her last with them. They razor burned her!!! When my mother picked her up they did not t tell her nor apologize. From the picture I took you can see the burn and that they got a little too close. I'm pretty sure my Mylee yelped (no pun intended) in pain. read more

Brought my roommates dog her for the first time yesterday, great place. They did exactly what we asked and at a very reasonable price compared to other companies. Love Primp My Pooch! We first used them years ago when we lived in the area, but moved away. We came back for the winter and Primp My Pooch was our first stop!! The staff could not have been nicer in accommodating my 3 older (BIG) dogs. I got a quick appointment, they could take all 3 dogs at the same time so I didn't need to make multiple trips and everyone was ready when they were supposed to be. Outstanding job in "cleaning up the mutts" after a 12 hour car trip. Reasonable prices, a great value. Will use them again and I highly recommend them! I had a little trouble finding them, they are next to the fireworks place on the west side of Highway 17. Look for the little blue building! read more

We recently moved to the area and needed to find a new groomer for our boy. Based on the many rave reviews from my neighborhood app I decided to make an appointment and I'm glad I did. Cisco looked as handsome as ever when I picked him up! My guy can be a little shy in new environments (he's a rescue) but he felt right at home in one of the doggy beds they had under the counter which is where I found him when I picked him up. We've been taking Sophie and Honey to Primp My Pooch since we moved here 5 years ago. They are AMAZING! They are extremely patient and the results are ALWAYS great. My dog is large and has trouble with her back legs. This is the only place I could find with a table that goes all the way down so she doesn't have to be lifted. She comes out with a perfect cut and is cheaper than Petsmart! read more

Never, ever, EVER again…read more My 4 Yorkies normally go a private groomer but she recently had surgery so I've been taking them to Petsmart. They had an appointment today but they were short a groomer and asked if I could reschedule so I called to see if Petco could fit them in. They said yes and I took them in at 1:15. When I take them into PetSmart they typically get all 4 in and out in 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours. I didn't walk out of Petco with my Yorkies until 6:22. Over 5 hours. To make things a million times worse, the manager was RUDE and when I finally got them and they handed me my bill, I almost PASSED OUT. For 4 full grooms at PetSmart they charge me around $240.00 depending on what package I get and keep in mind, that's for 4 FULL GROOMS. Today, only two of my Yorkies needed a full groom. The other two only needed a bath and nail trim. The total with the same customary 20% tip? $380.00!!!!!! How on EARTH can they justify charging that much for two grooms and two baths??? I will NEVER set foot in that place again. Who can AFFORD that??? They just lost a customer for LIFE.

I have to say that my wife and I set about visiting every local fish store we could find over a…read moreyear ago and wasn't impressed by any store we found at the time or owner(s) as much as we were impressed by Bruce and his store Sea Critters Depot. At the time I was thinking and wanting to get a salt water tank and even a reef tank, but thought it was just going to be impossible and really hard to do on my own as I just hadn't found a store or someone to help until I met Bruce. Bruce was so nice and patiently answered all my questions even though he knew I wasn't going to buy a thing that day and I didn't. I came back for a couple more weekends answering questions and didn't buy a thing and Bruce was kind and took the time to answer any question I came up with. Another thing that impressed me about how Bruce does business is that all those really expensive salt water fish you don't want to take home and die are put through quarantine by Bruce in his store for two weeks before he will let you buy them. Bruce doesn't have to do this and so far to date after being in this hobby for over a year Bruce is the only store that I've found that does this. Bruce is even nice enough to let you write your name on the tank for the fish you want in quarantine so you can pick the fish up after the quarantine is over. That way he doesn't sell you a sick fish and you know that as long as you do the right thing your fish will live a long time after you take the fish home. And this has been my experience. Every fish I've gotten has thrived in my tank. Another thing that impressed me that no other store I've been in does is that Bruce puts cards out on the tanks that shows a picture of the fish, the name of the fish, the price, and most important of all to someone with a reef tank is he tells you if the fish is reef safe, reef safe with caution, or not reef safe. So you know up front before you get excited to get a fish that it is safe for your reef tank or not. And for those that are safe with caution Bruce will gladly explain what you have to look out for and his experience with the fish. Bruce will tell you based on his considerable experience with the fish in reef tanks exactly how he expects they will behave and it's up to you to listen to his advice as he will let you buy it if you want the animal, but he certainly warns you first about what problems you may experience. I know I've not purchased fish based on what he's told me. And I've bought fish based on what he's told me and I watched to make sure I wouldn't have a problem since I know ahead of time that the fish might not be the best fit. You really can't go wrong buying from Bruce.
