This school is the most caring loving kind school for toddlers I have ever been to. My daughter learned so much and became much more brave and talkative. Our first day was during a day called belongingness day where they had food from all around the world. The teacher we had cared so much about her little students. I don't think it's possible for any daycare/school to raise our kids exactly as we would or to love them unconditionally like we do as their parents. I also don't think any school is perfect. I think I have high expectations but wouldn't say I nitpick so the fact that I'm giving primrose 5 stars says a lot. I have had a toddler here since July and an infant here since September. This is the 3rd school my toddler has been to so I have experiences to compare to. He was at Goddard for 3 years and young hearts for 5 months prior to me moving him to primrose. I think primrose exceeds at the opportunities they provide for their students. I'm impressed with activities like the testing they do, holiday concerts, parents night out, trunk or treat, etc. The infant class teachers are exceptional. I don't leave my baby with anyone but feel safe and comfortable leaving him with Hall, King and Verdugo everyday. The love and care they have for my son makes my heart happy. My son also smiles when he sees them which feels great when dropping him off before going to work. My oldest has Leyva and Mirenda and I know they have their work cut out for them with pre-k students. They do a great job providing a balance of structure and care for the children. My son loves school, his friends, and always hugs his teachers. They keep me in the loop on his behavior and we work together on how to make sure he is thriving. They provide snacks and lunch which is a nice weight off the parent's shoulders and allows for more family time so you don't have to pack anything. All daycares are expensive but for what they provide, I feel like their prices are reasonable. One time they accidentally gave my breast milk to the wrong family and while I was of course disappointed, I appreciated how apologetic they were -- mistakes happen. I felt bad for how bad the teacher felt. The also replaced our bottles which was very appreciated. Overall, I'm very happy with our choice to send our boys here and recommend them! read more

Horrible experience. I was waiting to write a review on what a disgusting and horrible this "child care" is. My daughter was enrolled for a week. In a week my daughter came home with a black eye, I walked in on the teachers when they were trying to place an eye in her eye and the director wasn't going to make me aware of this incident. My child also came home with what appeared to be pinch marks in her arms. My daughter is one year old and the day care said they would send me photos of her during the time there. They didn't. I only received maybe one photo of her and no updates. The staff was rude and always rolled their eyes at me when we asked questions. There was no clear direction on what or where to drop off our child. When I told the team about the treatment they didn't care. They additionally charged me $850 for her to just be there for 1 week?!?!?! I spoke with Andrea Sornbern, the district director and she was of course, rude and didn't want to really speak to me. When I initially took her call she basically said "what do you want?" And didn't allow me to express my concerns with her "facility". She didn't honor me a refund for the remanding time. I did not Take my daughter back even though we were paying for the last 2 weeks. Lastly, Andrea said they would refund me the $150 registration fee on or about May 26th in 2 weeks. It's june 22 and i still have yet not received that check. I was told I signed the handbook, I didn't ! See the photo. So when I told Andrea all said said "it's our policy" not if it's not signed?! See Andreas email. It states 2 weeks. It's almost a whole month of the $150 refund. My daughter got sick here and when I told them to not give her mac and cheese the director, Sarah came up to me and said ok let's diet since we can give her cheese, very aggressive and then told me that they can just "stuff the cheese packet in the cubbie". Lastly, one of her teachers asked me if she was an only child bc she didn't want to interact with other kids. How will she if she was just there for a week ? Do not take your kid here. Primrose School at Palm Valley has been an absolute pleasure for my child and I. She started attending 7 months ago and I can absolutely rate this school a 5 star confidently. The wonderful staff & wonderful teachers are always polite respectful and have been a pleasure to interact with since day one. My child has grown and exceeded in learning above and beyond and it wouldn't be without Primrose at Palm Valley to guide my child in a positive successful learning development that was needed. We found a new daycare. We made this decision based on the following: 1. When we first brought him they told us to bring his favorite blanket for nap time. When I picked him up after nap time the first day, he was still on his cot with a different blanket. They never gave him his blanket. Weird. 2. He got hand mouth and foot twice since starting two months ago. The first time we were notified by e-mail; we were told he could still come which contradicted my husbands doctors orders to be away from work for at least a week. The second time he was apparently exposed during the week. We went on family vacation Saturday. He got spots Monday & thought he was just in the sun too much. When we returned the following Thursday we found out from his teacher that he was exposed with no notification through the week. His spots were already scabbed by this point so he was able to return. We then found out he spread it to his cousin 3. He was provided with his own diaper cream. We were told different creams were being used on him. This is gross. He also has eczema- this was listed on his paperwork. We are so unhappy about this unsanitary practice and disregard for his skin sensitivity. 4. We were told he could be given one medication per day, I think. So we brought calamine lotion one day so that he could be sprayed if he was itching mosquito bites that he had. He was sprayed as if it was bug spray and we were informed that he was "sprayed before he went outside" and I could see white all over him. This was ridiculous after I had a full discussion of it being itch cream. 5. His main teacher and favorite assistant quit within a couple weeks of each other. I never was introduced to who his new teacher was. There was once specific lady in his room who was there, then after he went again she stated she didn't think she had met him yet when she had. We felt he was warming up finally and then there were all new people, it's just unfortunate. Concerns were expressed to directors. I like the three directors a lot but these concerns were too much to continue having him in this care. We are paying for two more weeks that we are not using, as well as a new daycare. We understood the cancellation policy but we are not leaving because we wanted to or some other reason- we actually were sad and scared about his safety and care. There should be accommodations if reasons like this happen because that bill is not a small one. We have no choice to take PTO during this lapse time due to just moving here, I have not yet built PTO up and my husband cannot take off from the fire academy. If we knew this we may have not taken the vacation I mentioned. He came home with scratches that looked like fingernails. Which is fine, we understand kids have little "fights" but we actually would like to be notified because it was a lot. If he fell, we would have also liked to be notified. I attached a picture because there were more than just a couple small scratches. We decided it would be his last day yesterday because of the continued concerns after we saw his arm. Our son is 2.5 and we depend on adults to communicate with us to use the words he cannot say yet. read more

Our daughter went here for less than a month bc we had constant issues with Primrose. She would constantly come home dirty even while eating, they'd play outside and not clean them off at all. We would come in to check the diaper count and either all her diapers were gone or they hadn't been touched at all in a day or two. Out of the 5 times in two weeks I picked her up, I didn't see the same warm body "watching" my daughter. The final straw was when we came in and our daughter was crying bc she hadn't been changed in hrs. Her diaper hadn't been changed in so long that her mooshy poop had dried and caked onto her, she was walking funny bc the crusted poop was causing her pain. My daughter tells people when she has to poop and was obviously ignored. On top of the horrible experience we had they continued to charge us for their bullshit two week cancellation period after they failed to take care of our child. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE! read more

I have almost 13 years of hands on experience with the primrose franchise. My oldest and middle child started and completed primrose school. Both of my nieces completed birth thru kindergarten as well. I have a two year old who also started his daycare with primrose here at palm valley. I must say I haven't been more concerned for children at primrose since my journey began. When we started at palm valley things were great, they have slowly turned concerning. Staff turn over is simply insane. They have gotten to the point where they stopped notifying parents because it's just that often. As for the care of the kids, well, in the course of a month my son had his fingers shut in the door, came home covered in feces (not clear if his own or someone else's) we had brought this up with the front office and were assured my son's care and well being were their priority. Not two weeks after this conversation his fingers were yet again closed in the door. But it's okay! The "teacher saw it happen". Well, come to find out she was the one who closed the fingers in the door. The school called to inform us and stated "it was a minor close nothing to worry about". I asked to speak with the owner as this is getting absolutely ridiculous. That was 7 days ago. To be fair it was a holiday week, but I would assume this situation would have brought on some concern from the Verlardi's. Every day I enter the school it's a game of hide and seek for where my son's belongings are. It's in this class that class, this cubby that cubby literally no one knows. There's belongings in his designated cubby that aren't his. Every day it's something different. This is definitely not the behavior which we have previously experienced from the primrose brand. It's important to note - while the inside doors have finger guards on the inside hinge which prevent a child from getting their hand stuck in the door there are literally zero safeguards stopping a child from opening the interior or exterior door. I have witnessed first had a child open the exterior door and run outside. There is zero effort from the classroom staff to chase or collect the child from being outside. Their protocol seems to be to notify the front desk and let them deal with it. There's nothing stopping a child from opening the door. Period. read more

My daughter has been going to Primrose since she was a little over a year old. In the time she has been attending Primrose she has had nothing but amazing care. They use an app called Procare to stay in constant touch, showing meals eaten, times she has had her diapers changed and activities she is doing throughout the day. Any time there are incidents they are quick to alert us. Our daughter is happy when we drop her off in the morning and looks forward to seeing her teachers and friends. We are very happy with Primrose and will be keeping our daughter there until she heads to Kindergarten. read more

Best preschool and daycare center in the West Valley My wife and I looked at every daycare/preschool in the Avondale/Tolleson/Goodyear/Buckeye/Litchfield Park area when we moved here. Primrose School stood out as the best option by far. We are fans of Piaget-based learning and development programs. The time and stage of development is important, so it's valuable if you can find a school that fulfills the character, educational, social, and physical needs of your kid. The Velardi family and the staff they have put together teach to those goals and earnestly care for our daughter and her friends. Over the past 18 months, we have seen very little turnover and both teachers and school staff communicate exceptionally well with parent. Special events like the holiday show and parents night out are a nice touch. And we are very pleased with how our little girl is developing. We've made some long-term friends. Couldn't recommend a preschool any more than I do Primrose at Palm Valley. read more

Im not even sure where to start, except that this place has been like a second home to my family, especially my two girls. We moved here over the summer, and the first day care didnt work out. My daughters struggled with the changes, and had some intense behavioral changes for the first couple months. All of the teachers and staff rallied to support in a loving, caring, thoughtful way to provide both girls with customized care, and me the support I needed and recommended approaches I could take to help them. Needless to stay, we are still here and both girls viscerally enjoy the time, the teachers, and the stimulation Primrose provides. They have grown immensely, and I am so so proud of the humans they are becoming. They are learning real life skills from people who are true role models, how to be kind, patient, thoughtful humans. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE FOR THEIR SAFETY! REPORTED TO DHS! YOU SHOULD TOO! We had our 2.5 year old daughter here for less then a month and it was horrible experience. We hit our last straw when I picked up my daughter to her crying and walking funny and saying it hurts because her poopy pull up hadn't been changed in hours because the dried poop was so crusted on her I had to soak her in a bath and still scrub it off with her screaming in pain, and had a rash for days after. I informed the front desk that night before leaving and when I came in the next day the owner was there, they new it was bad. We got the typical " this is not how we do things here" "it is unacceptable". Yet they had no idea who was responsible and we never got a straight answer as to what was done about it. Also the First day they lost the 8 pull ups I provided and she came home in someone else's pull up. They were never found and no apologies, After that I put her name on each one and she was still coming home randomly in other kids pulls ups. She would come home with scratches and what looked like bite marks. She would cry when we dropped her off and was so ready to leave when we picked her up. Which is not like her we usually have to carry her out of daycare she loves it so much but not here. There was always a different person in the room watching our daughter who had no idea who she was. It was just a crazy free for all most of the time when we dropped off and picked up. Honestly no point to the Procare check in and out because the staff had no idea who our kid was. Any concerns we had we informed the front office staff and nothing was ever done. I reported that to DHS and you should too if you have had a bad experience. We interviewed virtually every single daycare in Goodyear before landing here in Primrose. In addition to prioritizing the health/safety of our kids, we identified academic learning and social development goals that were guiding our decision to move back into a daycare. Background: we have two daughters (1 yr old and 3yr old) both at home with a nanny through covid and when we felt ready to bring them back out of the house, it was hard finding a place that would fit both of them. At the second daycare we had tried, we had specific issues with our 3 yr old and the teachers we felt were not providing a personalized approach when taking care of her needs. Before choosing Primrose, we communicated our bad past experience with the director and insisted on meeting the teachers before enrolling our kids. Best move ever, no exaggeration. We appreciate Ms. Tolp so much and literally made the move to Primrose because of her. She's made such a big difference to our 3yr old in terms of providing that safe, attentive and nurturing class where our girl can thrive. Our daughter comes home each day and surprises us with new things she's learning, books the class is reading, and songs they sing together. As parents, knowing that our kids are well cared for when we can't be with them, means everything to us and we have always felt this way since being in Ms. Tolp's class. This teacher is warm and welcoming not just to our daughter but she's also receptive to partnering with us on our parenting goals and learning objectives for our daughter. My daughter has been going to Primrose at Palm Valley since she was around one years old. I removed her from another day care due to continued increase in prices. She is now two and is loving every minute at Palm Valley. Not only have they maintained their prices throughout our entire time with them, there's also no scary surprises with payments or our daughters care. In fact, there's never any changes without immediate and sufficient notice. They have remained open throughout the pandemic which has helped my family tremendously as we have had to continue to work but they have also vigorously addressed any COVID concerns. They are clean, well managed, and efficient in everything they do. My daughter loves all of her teachers - she comes in at drop off with a smiling face ready to leave me (which can certainly be hard on a parent but a good thing for my independent little one). My daughters attitude at drop off and pick up are the exact same; she's never in a bad mood to come to Primrose or leave because her teachers are incredibly loving, supportive, and fun! Excellent!!!!! This wonderful Child Care facility is tucked away in the corner of the Wal*Mart Neighborhood Market shopping center. The decor is very home-like & welcoming, country Americana with dark wood furniture, plaid accents, and roosters. I want to hang out here! Very clean with no funky day-care smells either. The staff are extremely professional and friendly. Super nice too, not a fake nice, but a genuine down to earth nice. Plenty of easy parking. Reasonable weekly tuition pricing. Mrs. Verladi, I'm merely stating a fact what most parents discussed behind your back that your staff management has been atrocious through the years! My "PSA" serves to alert the public of the going-ons in Primrose instead of sugar-coating it. Yes, my child (and I don't appreciate you using my child's name!!!) was happy to see her friends again but she would acted the same way if she was to meet and play with any other friends. So it was NOT because of your "stellar education" per se. And to find out the way you've been handling safety during a pandemic and now there's a COVID positive case is horrifying! Other parents were also shocked to learn about the COVID case. So instead of defending yourself and violating the privacy of my child online you should have made a commitment to better your staff management and care for their wellbeing to show that you are serious in protecting them and your students and their families. For start, you can ask your front desk personnel to wear a mask. It's not that difficult. You are in pandemic in case you've forgotten. For shame! This makes me more upset and not ever going to recommend your school to anyone. You have made it worst by replying to me with the defensive tone instead of telling the public that you will commit to improve Primrose. Reflect on this and make the change for the better. People's lives are at risk here! You can still make your money while keeping everyone safe. Stop taking advantage of parents needing a place to watch their kids because there are stuck with no other options and stop treating your staff like low wage workers who are easily replaced. We started sending our son to Primrose right after he turned two and my husband and I both agree that it's one of the best things we have ever done for him. Definitely worth checking out Primrose! When we planned the move to the Phoenix (West Valley Area) from California, over 3 years ago we were extremely discouraged with choices for a full time "school"/daycare for our daughter. Oddly enough, we heard about Primrose from a resident of a nearby neighborhood, definite random luck! When that mom mentioned it to my mom, she called immediately. My mom toured Primrose on our behalf, you know Grandmas can be more critical than parents and she is! So when she gave it a thumbs up, I knew we would be fine. Then I toured Primrose on my next Phoenix visit and found it well rounded, structured but with a lot of fun....perfect for kids, right!? Here we are going on almost 4 years and our daughter loves going to school. The team at Primrose has evolved with us and our daughter. They have a difficult mission to fulfill and they do it seamlessly and with a smile on their face. Primrose is not a fit for every family of course, but I think everyone should at the least, check it out and decide. We have made great friends through the Primrose school! Families are involved and I think the teachers go above and beyond .... because they love their kids! My one complaint -- is they stop at Private Kindegarten, I have requested they expand through elementary- junior high and high school. We have now been with Primrose Palm Valley almost a year, and wanted to provide an update on our experience. Unfortunately, the school/daycare center can't seem to retain good talent- we have enjoyed the quality teachers for only a short amount of time before they move on to other opportunities, with allegedly higher pay- even though our tuition rates have been raised twice this year. Each time a teacher leaves, there is not sufficient backfill, and we have gone months at a time with "filler" teachers or substitutes. All of the teachers in my previous review have since left, and then some- this effects the quality of care that our children receive , their day to day experiences, and educational opportunities- as there isn't anyone that takes ownership of these things during the transitional times. While we understand that the child care industry has high turnover, and the labor marker in general favors employees right now- our concern is that we don't feel that Primrose is doing enough to attract and retain quality talent, and that our children are bearing the brunt of this. read more

I can't thank the Primrose staff enough for helping raise my son. I will forever be grateful to Ms. Velardi and staff. My son went to Primrose for over four years. Since he was six months old. We recently had to move him and I felt compelled to write a review because they made a positive impact on my son that will last his lifetime. If you stick around Primrose you'll learn the term "Primrose baby". These are the kids who are enrolled young and stick with it. I'm proud to call my son a "Primrose baby". We looked for a daycare for months. Almost all of them we went into the babies were all crying, it was messy, and just plain sad really. We are not rich but we would do whatever it took to get the best care for our child. Our son began his care in the infant room and he quickly became comfortable with Mrs. Mcfate and others. He loved his teachers and it was so reassuring picking him up and knowing that he'd been taken care of. As he continued to grow, he almost always had good teachers. There were times we questioned the teachers, and there were a lot of good teachers who left. But that is the nature of daycares, not a reflection just on Primrose. Most of his teachers were awesome and we are so thankful for that. My son learned sign language from Primrose. We work a lot and always wanted to teach him but couldn't. Then, one day we're feeding him and he starts doing the sign for "more". We were amazed. He also learned to count in Spanish from Primrose. Again, we didn't do any of this. I was driving him home from daycare one day and he's in the back seat and all of the sudden just starts singing "uno, dos, tres, CUATRO! uno, dos, tres, CUATRO!" I was shocked. He was only two. I literally pulled over and took a video and sent it to my wife. I'm getting teary-eyed as I write this, knowing we'll be removing him from Primrose due to job relocation. They helped grow him and became an extension of our family. I couldn't recommend Primrose anymore than this...I trusted them with helping raise my son and I would do it again 100% of the time. Primrose Palm Valley "promises" to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where children can thrive. The reality is that this environment is unstructured, unstable, inconsistent, lacks communication, and the business owner/franchisee (Karen Verlardi) will spin the truth to get your business. You will be told that this place is the best daycare in the West Valley. In reality, this is your typical daycare mill (with a high price tag) that focuses more on quantity and less on quality. For that reason, I would like to share my experience: My toddler started here in August 2013 and after two days here he started telling me "No Primrose Daddy" every morning while in the Primrose parking lot. After two weeks, it got worse, my wife scheduled an appointment and approached the franchisee with this information. My wife was assured that it was my negative energy and lack of a morning routine that was affecting my son at drop off [really?]. Giving Primrose the benefit of the doubt, I started to consciously be extremely positive in the mornings with a consistent routine (as always). As parents, we think it is very important for children to have consistency in the daycare experience. We understand that unanticipated events happen but we expect that any changes with our child's primary care team be communicated as soon as possible through telephone or e-mail. Timely communications about our child's primary care team's attendance (absence, planned vacation, or permanent rotation) was non-existent. To make a long story short, drop-offs and daycare staff consistencies were not the only struggles we encountered at Primrose Palm Valley. We experienced high turnover in the daycare staff; daily reports were not consistently filled out; dirty/muddy clothes and soiled diapers upon pickup; we reported bulling several times with no resolution; my son came home with a shirt that was cut open in several spots by scissors. Each incident was brought up to the administration staff, some issues were never solved, and the bullying never stopped. My son came home several times telling us that a specific kid hit or pushed him. We were assured by the administration that my son was not being bullied and that the bully he identified, was not in attendance on the days he mentioned he was being hit/pushed [yeah right, we have pictures to prove otherwise]. The last straw was in October 2013, when changes were made to the staff, which encompassed reassignment of my son's primary teacher to a new classroom to cover a staff member that quit the previous Friday - that's their official story. Upon questioning administration at the front desk, I was told that my son's primary teacher was reassigned due to her personal reasons which required her to shift her schedule to come in later in the day - get your story straight! Whichever the truth, it is not acceptable to learn about a permanent change in the primary daycare staff at drop-off time. Because we didn't have a daycare contingency plan for an event like that, we were forced to leave our child there that day and hope for the best. Upon pickup that day, my wife observed boogers on our child's face and a muddy shirt. Primrose Palm Valley does not meet their own expectations, which is why they have a rotating door of clients and caregivers. When I told Karen Verlardi my child will no longer be attending Primrose and asked that the two week notice requirement be waived, she met me with words of contempt, rudeness, and complete disrespect. Bottom line: I was told multiple lies, the environment is inconsistent, they do not practice what they preach, and I am happy that my child is no longer in their care. read more

We have given this school a benefit of a doubt, after 4 months. Well, it all started with no consistency, lack of communication to the teachers and parents, when picking up our toddler other children were running around with no direction, a lot of explosive behaviors, and lies from both staff/administration. Also, the school does not implement what they pitch during the tour and do not follow their motto. I would NOT recommend anyone in that area to even stop or give this school a chance. The front office pretend everything is going well, but behind doors it's the opposite. I had the worst experience with the owner of this facility. This would not be a place I would recommend due to the front office staff and owner's lack of professionalism. When an owner calls your personal cell phone yelling and not letting you speak, I believe that shows me there is no professionalism. The owner of this facility continued to call my phone seven times in a row before leaving a message. I had to go to the Goodyear Police Station to resolve the situation. read more

OVER THE TOP . . . BEST CHILD CARE! Like most parents, we want what is best for our children. It can be overwhemilng when deciding who will be influencing our child and caring for them. It definitely takes a special person to care for so many individual personalites. My 18 month daughter attends Primrose. I admit that I struggled with the thought of having someone other than a family member or friend care for my little girl. Would they comfort her when needed or just let her cry? Would they honestly communicate with me on how my daughter was doing and how her day went? ... i could go on with the many questions that most of us parents have. I am happy to say that I LOVE PRIMROSE @ PALM VALLEY! The staff has provided assurance and have proven themself worthy in many ways! Most recently, there have been some concerns with my daughter's weight. Her doctor encouraged weight gain. It is beyond comforting knowing that I can partner with the staff and that we share the same goal ... A happy and healthy little girl. The communication with the staff is more than anyone could ask for. They respond quickly to emails and if I call, they are more than willing to check on my little girl and give feedback. The Primrose staff understood and shared my concern with my daughter's health. They are on board in teaming up to ensure a healthy girl. I am glad to report that her weight has improved and the staff and I still work together on this goal. They all genuinely care for the well being and growth of all the children who attend Primrose! I loved the school so much, my niece now attends the school too! I love that they teach sign language. I started sign language with my daughter before she attended primrose... just the basics ... like how to sign "milk", " please", "thank-you", & "more" .... I was beyond happy that I found a place that finds the value in signing. It is refreshing and also comforting that it is easier for my daughter to communicate with her teacher. My daughter is learning and thriving and I could not ask for more. I am truley blessed to have found a fabulous place for my little.The curriculum and developmental programs that they have are well balanced and shout SUCCESS! Thank you Primrose for peace of mind! I have had two children at this location. One was in Pre-K and then the Summer Explorers. Pre-K was great. Loved the atmosphere and program. Summer Explorers is a joke. Great field trips, but everything else is a total joke. No structure. Everything is glorified babysitting. Owner was approached and she "looked into it", but not good enough in the least. My other child is currently two. Although I love the facility, there is a very high turnover rate with the teachers and they are completely not flexible with their schedules. Primrose at Palm Valley is the best preschool in the west valley! My two children have thrived within this school, thanks to the wonderful teachers. My children are treated as part of the Primrose family. Every time I see a teacher with my children, I can see the love that the teachers and my children have for each other. When I leave my children at Primrose I know they are being taken care of, are loved, and are safe. This is my kid's home away from home. Everyday my children look forward to coming to school so they can play with their friends and see their teachers! I would not recommend this school to anyone who cares about the safety and well-being of their child. In the 11 months that my daughter attended this center there were about 8-10 staff changes within two classrooms. Now, I know that turnover in this industry is to be expected but geez em, to me that is high. They will sell you on them have a top notch curriculum and that their staff has on-going training but what good is the ongoing training if the staff is ever-changing? They are continuously not in compliance with the teacher to child ratios which just leads to the children running a muck or worse getting injured and no one seeing it, which I have heard more times than I ever cared too. When my child was moved into the 3 yo classroom it was a bit of an adjustment (which was to be expected) but we were getting through it. However, not a month into it, I came to pick up my daughter and noticed she had a long scratch on her neck. When asked what happened she told me that a classmate had scratched her. I brought it to management and was told that no one had saw the incident (shocker). They further asked who did it and I named the classmate my daughter named. I got from management at that time, yes, we have been having difficulties with this child adjusting, thus this was not the first incident of him hitting others. I requested that the incident be documented and followed up with the teacher in the classroom the next day. When speaking with the classroom teacher, I learned that this child had attacked several other children in the room. I stated that I wanted to minimize the interaction between my daughter and this child for her safety. Not two weeks later I am picking my daughter up and learn that the same child had come across the room and bit her in the face. I asked what they were doing to ensure the safety of the other children in the classroom seeing that this child was apparently a loose cannon. I actually had a member of management, Mrs. Bauers, tear up saying " I just feel so bad for his family and what they have to deal with." Umm, what!?! What about the children that this child is attacking and their feelings and families. The final straw for me was perhaps a week or two after the second incident, while picking up my child management says they would like to speak with me in the office. Once there, I am told that this child had again attacked my daughter, this time picking up a toy train and hitting her in the eye. It took everything in me to remain calm or as calm as I could be I was visibly upset and rightfully so. I asked why someone wasn't with this child shadowing him throughout his day if he has that much of an issue. To add insult to injury, this child was still running around playing and interacting with the children in classroom??? By their own admission my child had never done anything to this little boy, not said anything to him or otherwise physically done something to him that would warrant his attacks on her. I was told that the school would be willing to move my daughter into another classroom to separate them or I could just keep her in the same classroom and they would try to monitor him more, what, really? So punish my child and move her because they cannot control an unruly child and /or keep her in the classroom with him further placing her in harms way. Yea, I'll pass. I told them that that would be her last day as obviously they didn't know how or didn't care to protect my child and the other children in the classroom. The owner, Karen Verlardi, could care less about the safety of the children or the people that work for her. She is a very much a businesswoman who only cares about making money. For what you pay in tuition for this school, of which is no small amount and for the service you receive they are totally out of balance. The environment at Primrose is one of no communication, unstable, unorganized chaos. No one ever knows what is going on which begs the question, what am I paying for? Parents beware just because the facility is nice and management seems friendly, its all superficial. read more

We have joined the Primrose family approximately 4 months ago and couldn't be happier. We have tried two different preschool facilites in the Goodyear area and were EXTREMELY disappointed. Primrose is by far the best! The teachers are so friendly and my kids actually enjoy going to school. They have a lot of fun activities for the kids, learning stations for the preschoolers and extracurricular activities offered as well. We are going to our first event the school has organized outside of school and the kids are super excited. Management is always visible and there to answer any question or concerns. I cannot say enough great things about this school. They are workable with the schedule and dress code. Super glad we found Primrose!! read more

Review Cont'd Part 2 of 2 I searched on YELP and found Primrose. We did the same trial day at Primrose. My son went in the classroom and we stayed in the Lobby and popped into the window randomly every 15-30 mins to see how he was doing and within 30 mins I could already tell his experience was going to be so much better at Primrose. Your ratio of 5 or 6 to 1 is just right but most of the time the ratio I've seen is 3 or 4 to 1 because once there were 7 kids, there were 2 teachers in the room. The teachers in the toddler rooms are SO WONDERFUL! Not only do they provide the early education the toddlers need but they also provide the right amount of affection to each child to keep them comfortable in their group environment. I also tend to watch the other kids whenever I am in the room because I know I can see a LOT from the other kid's behaviors that will give me some information on how the teachers are with them. I see the other kids always running to their teachers to show off the toys they've found or just running up to them to hug their legs. This tells me the kids feel comfortable and find safety and security with their teachers. They run to their teachers to show off their toys because their teachers give them a positive reaction that the kids enjoy receiving. During my son's first week I left my work at random times during the day to pick him up at different times just to see how he was doing on different days and every time I arrived, I always found a teacher either holding him or my son enjoying an activity with the other toddlers like story time, painting or music/dancing time. I LOVE YOUR SCHOOL AND YOUR TEACHERS. Of course I can only mainly speak for the toddler teachers because they are the ones I deal with but on many occasions when teachers from other rooms have seen me in the hallway, they have ALWAYS stopped to ask me if there was anything they could do for me. They even peek into the room and watch my son for me and give me real-time feedback on how my son is doing as I hide away from the door so he doesn't see me. THANK YOU FOR FOSTERING SUCH A WARM AND LOVING ENVIRONMENT! This means the WORLD to all the parents of the Primrose students. I have to also mention the ladies in the front who comforted ME during the first 2 weeks and encouraged me to call as many times as I wanted to check in on my son (and believe me, DID I Call A LOT LOL!) Every time I call, they are so nice and are so happy to give me feedback. Of course, I must also mention your facility. It's so clean! The toys are always clean and bright. Your daily menu is superb! Sometimes I tell my husband my son should go on his off day because the food being served that day looks so good. :) I love the Primrose App that I am able to download to see the weekly menu, events, and announcements. The last thing I am going to mention is just due to, well...my husband and I being picky people and that is how we appreciate that everyone in your staff always has a presentable appearance! We totally noticed how they have variations of their Primrose Shirts to wear everyday and they manage to always look neat which can be difficult since the kids are probably flailing paint, water and food at them throughout the day :) I know we are new and have only been there for 3 weeks but I have also stopped to get feedback from other parents whose children have been with your school for a while and their reviews on your facility and staff are just how I described them above. I know my son is in the right place. We will be trying for a second child next year and we are looking forward to our experience with your infant care. We love Primrose!!! Our daughter Harper started the infant program at 6 months and we are amazed at how much she has already learned! From day one the staff has called us all by name and it's very obvious they all truly love what they do. We especially love her teachers Mrs King and Mrs McFate they have shown our daughter so much love and treat her as their own it is beyond comforting. Each time she is dropped off or picked up our daughter is smiling and so happy! As a new mom, I love having them both to answer any questions regarding each stage our daughter is in.
