Our daughter, who previously had the luxury of having grandma as her daycare, started at Primrose Pinnacle about 4 months ago. Contrary to an inexplicably-vague negative review on this site, we've had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and school (which were immediately "behind the 8-ball" with us, thanks to how spoiled we were by grandma). In fact, we found ourselves blessed with the "problem" of having to choose between this and a private, cheaper, amazing personal sitter and we toyed with not going with Primrose, but our daughter's experience here left us with no doubt that we had made the right decision to stick with Primrose. "Our daughters are our lives", to use the cliche, so it's with an extreme amount of deliberation and constant review that we entrust anyone to tie their shoes, let alone their development and education (I say daughters" because our newborn will be going there soon, too). The staff - the Directors at the front door, the owners, obviously the teachers in my daughter's room, but also including the dietician and any teacher from any class we come into contact with - everyone is extremely genuinely gracious and caring. We went through a bout where we wondered about our daughter's adjustment to the school (thanks to what we now realize were typical 3-year-old's complaints of "I don't want to go to ... (insert "school" or anything here)". When we raised the concern with the school and staff, everyone involved showed true interest and shared concern without going "over the top", promised to pay close attention to the situation, asked very specific and relevant questions that related to a course of action they thought would work, but never tried to brush us off or give us an "it'll work itself out" excuse. Aided, I'm positive, by the staff's pointers and genuine care that our daughter received there, this quickly became a non-issue. We call into the school or check in with staff as much, if not more, than your average parents and they've always been very responsive and never made us feel as though they were rushed or annoyed. The curriculum is impressive and thorough and diverse - and they stick to it. They have a ton of meaningful events and themes, covering various kid-friendly topics but also life experiences and cultures. The school also already has a strong presence in the community and has led multiple fund-raising efforts. I know my daughter loves her teachers and she feels "part of something" there. I also have a unique perspective of having a friend involved in management of other Primrose schools. So, I see the consistency and prudence in their "technical" process from a wide angle. But, I also get the more specific perspective of the very personal interaction at this Pinnacle/Grove city location, and I recommend them to anyone who will listen. I believe it takes a special kind of person to be able to work in daycare/education and to do it well. Primrose at Pinnacle is staffed with a whole building of such people ... I couldn't be more thankful for the education and well-rounded-ness they are providing my daughter and the peace-of-mind they are providing my wife and I. read more

Every parents' most thought out decision is what school their child(ren) should attend. Even though this is true for all ages, it is more so from infancy to Kindergarten. As a single parent of an adoptive child, I have more obstacles than most. Primrose has always worked with me every time I had a concern. When my son had some behavior issues, the Director and his teacher(s) met with me to create a positive plan of action that was used at school and home. When he transitioned to a new class, his new teachers were understanding and patient. When I had concerns over his emotional or physical well being, I would receive an email usually with a photo telling me how he was doing. When I called in to check on him, the phone would be taken to the teacher so I could speak with them. The academics are outstanding and this school has my child saying "The Pledge of Allegiance", respecting his country and prayers to respect his God. The children learn about giving back to the community and adopting a Grandparent. The teachers throughout the school know the children by name. My child was one of the first students to attend this school when it first opened and I am so happy that I took the chance and jumped in with both feet. When negative comments are made, I believe it is our responsibility to research and find the truth. As a parent, you have to find the right fit for your child. I removed my son from another well known school in Grove City because it concerned me that it was becoming more about the school as a business and not the child. That school was not the right fit for my son, but that doesn't make it a bad school. The owners of this school started the school because it was a dream and a passion to make a difference in a child's life. I can confirm that Primrose has made a difference in my child's life. My son recently started at Primrose at Pinnacle and I'm blow away at how wonderful this school is. As a blended family parent of two and as someone running a small business, it's hard for me to keep tabs on everything I need to do. What I like about Primrose is how well they communicate with parents. I get about 2-3 emails per week that keep me up to date on what I need to remember to bring, special events and any changes that happen. What's more is their attention to keeping parents involved in the experiences their children get to have. The staff even takes time to send me pictures a few times a month. For instance, this week, I received a set of pictures of him holding a baby Alligator this week when they had some folks from the wild life center come into class. I'm online almost all day long for what I do. I enjoy reading Dr. Z's blog and enjoy tweeting out the lists of children's books. Their usually good fodder for weekend trips to the library. One suggestion I would make for Primrose in general here is to make each location have their own unique Facebook pages so that parents at the school could connect with each other as well. It would be nice to have an online hub where parents could talk and coordinate play dates, birthday parties, etc. Primrose has excellent and accredited programs and curriculum. I really feel like the Pinnacle location pays special diligence to making sure that the programs implemented as seamlessly as possible. In the summer, Pinnacle even goes as far to have weekly special events like "Water Day" "Bounce House Day" and a few others. My son really looks forward to these days. Finally, I want to say that the teachers and really the entire staff at Pinnacle are absolutely top notch. This is a collection of friendly people who really get how kids learn. They also respect and understand the importance of keep parents involved in that process. Primrose at Pinnacle an excellent school and my son loves it! read more

We have been nothing short of thrilled with the teachers at Primrose School at Pinnacle. They have been attentive to our child and from the start recognized her unique quirks, likes, dislikes, etc. The facility itself is exceptionally clean, safe, and secure. Primrose offers several nice "perks" (parents' night out, for example) and promotes community involvement such as food drives. Every Thursday is "mail day" for the kids, which is a nice touch! Primrose offers a very stimulating, structured environment for kids. We have become increasingly concerned with turnover at the management end at Primrose. Directors and Asst. Directors have cycled in and out in the year that we have been there. We've suspected some personality issues that appear to start at the top with the school's owners, which naturally impacts staff morale. The teachers appear to have some solidarity, which is promising, because they are wonderful and we would hate to see the school lose quality staff because of leadership. It is our perception, and that of a handful of other parents we've talked to, that one of the owners can be rather condescending and artificial. Thankfully the teachers appear to enjoy their work and are committed to the kids. Turnover at the Director/Asst. Director is certainly not enough to sway our decision about sending our daughter there; however, given that this reflects the workplace climate at the school, we plan to continue to keep an eye on the consistency of staffing at Primrose. read more

Our son has been attending the Primrose school for nearly 18 months. In that time we have been extremely impressed with this school. The staff has been amazing. All of the teachers are well trained, educated and do an excellent job in not only caring for the children but teaching them life skills and age appropriate cognitive skills. It seems that most, if not all, of the staff members have a genuine interest in child education and have completed college coursework in an education and/or child development related specialty. The curriculum for each age range assures that the children are not just housed in a day care setting. They are getting an education as well as learning important social skills. The school has been excellent in communicating about my son, who has some minor developmental delays. They have gone above and beyond to assure that his needs are met. The staff communicates with all families by sending reminder emails and notes home with the children on a regular basis. We love the Primrose School and I am so happy that my child attends this facility! My daughter will soon be attending as well. We are happy with the choice that we have made for our kids and believe it is worth every penny! I, personally, feel that there is much diversity among the children and families attending this facility. In addition, the school does an excellent job in teaching the children about other cultures around the world. The Primrose School is amazing! read more

I can not say enough good things about Primrose School at Pinnacle. I have been home with both my children (3 years and 17 months) since they were born. Picking a school was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I am very particular about who watches my daughters and my first instinct when I walked into this school was that I could leave my children here and know that they will be SAFE, their needs will be met and they would thrive socially and educationally. The staff put me at ease right away. The first day there my husband and I received an email for each of our daughters with their pictures and an update of how their first day was going. That was priceless. We continually receive notification about what is going on at the school each week with reminders of what events are coming (picture day, book fair, parents night out, etc). This is very helpful since life can be busy with work and two young children. The teachers are fantastic with genuine interest in making the children and us parents feel comfortable Any time I express a concern or ask the teachers to pay particular attention to something, they do without hesitation and report what I ask everyday. Even if it means keeping track of my youngest's BMs and milk intake :-) Choosing this school was the best decision for this family!!!! read more

As working parents we feel very blessed to have been able to send our daughters to the Primrose school. My husband and I are both teachers and were initially cautious when deciding where to send the girls for preschool. Our eldest daughter joined the Primrose family as a Pre-K student. Within days of beginning the class we went from cautious to ecstatic. She was learning skills that my niece was working on in Kindergarten. In addition to the learning I felt comfortable knowing that I was leaving my child with a staff that cared as much about her emotionally as they did for her academics. We were so impressed after the first year that we opted to send her to Kindergarten at Primrose instead of in our home district. Upon entering her first grade year she was ahead of many of her classmates in academic skills. I attribute this to the time she spent as a student at Primrose. Our youngest is now in the preschool program at Primrose and we are confident that she is receiving the same quality education, love and attention that our oldest daughter experienced. The staff at Primrose is dedicated, caring and genuinely interested in the development of every child. My daughter has been attending Primrose for nearly 18 months. She was our first child and we were apprehensive about sending her to day care at 6 months old, but she has absolutely thrived during her time there. I think a key component of her success has been the primrose curriculum. I really appreciate the way they used infant sign language with her as a baby and the way that they've encouraged her to read, express herself with art, and exercise through active play. It's almost a daily occurrence now for us to be surprised at something new she's learned at school. For the most part, the Primrose staff has been top notch. There's been more turnover recently than I'd like, and I've seen some really good teachers leave, but the majority of her teachers have appeared qualified, been friendly and engaged with me as a parent, and have been very open and honest when I've asked questions or had a problem that needed a resolution. I particularly like that the student-teacher ratio is less than the state maximum. This was especially nice when my daughter was in the younger rooms where one-on-one attention is key for good development. Lastly, the school itself appears clean and well maintained. When my husband and I suddenly lost our source of in-home childcare we were in a situation where we had to quickly find a place for our daughter to spend the days we were at work. We visited other daycares that left me feeling I would be dropping my child off in a corral of sorts where she would be safe but not necessarily cared for or educated. When we walked into Primrose I felt like we had found more than a daycare, it felt like a place of learning- a school. Even though our daughter was not even a year old at the time, it was important to me to find an environment that would do more than keep her safe. In response to the negative review, I feel that our money is supporting the opportunity to give our daughter the best educational start that we can. Primrose takes it a step beyond our expectations by also focusing on caring for others and caring for the community. It seems there is always a project going on that beneftis a community need like book drives, food drives- even a pet food drive. What they do is opposite of any bubble, it opens the children up to needs in the community and ways for them to be part of helping with those needs. My 3 1/2 year old started attending the Primrose a month ago and we could not be more pleased. The school is beautiful and well organized. Most importantly, the teachers are wonderful! They are caring, helpful, keep me updated on how she is doing. Her teachers are truly caring. She is always engaged in fun, educational activities. They do a wonderful job with every detail, from creating tasty menus for lunch and breakfast, themes for teaching, setting up a mailbox for parents to leave notes and newsletters encouraging involvement. My daughter had attended another day care in town for a few weeks early on and that experience was a nightmare. She had a little bit of a rough start, since she had been with my parents from that time on. Primrose Grove City has been great for my five year old son. He went there for two years, including preschool, and now still goes there for aftercare, after the regular school day. I have been really satisfied with the loving and patient environment and his test scores. The place just feels great when you walk in and that vibe is so important to those of us who have to leave the care for our children in the hands of others. What is most important in some ways is what my son himself has to say about Primrose. On days off from regular school, he ASKS to go to Primrose. And, each day when we pick him up at after care, if we come even a few minutes early before the 6pm pick up time, he wants to know why we picked him early (and disturbed his good time!). Trust me, it is not always like this and I feel blessed that he WANTS to be at Primrose. read more

My daughter has been at Primrose school since they opened.She is now in Kindergarten and we are sad that this will be her last year at Primrose in Grove City. I visited and researched many schools and chose this one because it was the best fit for my child and my family. I am very pleased with their programs, teachers and staff. They always work as a team with the student and parents best interest at the core of all they do! The teacher student ratio is great. My daughter is learning so much more here than I ever imagined. She enjoys her friends, teachers, lessons and especially likes the community events. The environment at Primrose is very nurturing. My 4 1/2 year old daughter has been going to Primrose for 2 years now and we LOVE it!!!! The staff will help you in anyway, the teachers are great! I wish I could bring Mr Ericson home to help me sometimes. LOL I have been told a few times that my daughter Layla is at a 1st grade level and she is only in pre-k, THANKS PRIMROSE!!!! I think the other mom that wrote a bad review (Heather A) is crazy! she talks about diversity, I can count a hand full of diverse kids in my daughters class alone. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Primrose at Pinnacle to any family without hesitation. My wife and I are both teachers, so we knew what we wanted and expected for our daughter when it came to her pre-school experience. This is an absolute amazing school. From the curriculum, staff, community involvement, and so much more I could not be more pleased with a pre-k program. If you value education, diversity, safe, and positive environment for your children to learn I highly recommend this school. These are only a few of the many great things this school has to offer! Our son loves Primrose. All of his teachers have been wonderful. Everyone knows his name as he is walking in the hallway. As far as the school being diverse, it can only be as diverse as the community it is located in! More importantly the curriculum is wonderful. Our son is learning sing language so quickly it is hard to keep up with him. When I come to pick him up at night I always find him playing well with the other children or participating in a class event. It is good to feel he is in a safe and loving environment when he is not with me. I would recommend this daycare to anyone with a young child. read more

We had our child enrolled in another school/daycare and we were not very happy. We feel very lucky to have found Primrose at Pinnacle. From the beginning the folks there impressed us with their professionalism. Our first visit there we were treated with respect and dignity. They gave us a complete tour of their facility as well as giving us a thorough explanation of their educational programs. Our child is very happy there! I love this school. My daughter has been going for almost a year now and is now in Pre-K. She absolutely loves her teachers and the friends she has met at Primrose. I am now going to start sending my 10 1/2 month old there starting next week. I do feel that Primrose really cares about the children and it is a safe and friendly environment. I don't think I would ever send my children anywhere else now that I have experienced Primrose schools. read more
