Ted Price, the artistic director, is a creative genius. Not only does he have a knack for casting, but his set direction has seen the creation of the most beautiful and transporting backdrops. It bears no resemblance to community theatre. This is high-quality professional theatre, like you could expect in any big city. The shows I've seen here include A.R. Gurney's Sylvia, Ethan Claymore by Norm Foster and Ernest Thompson's On Golden Pond. I've laughed, I've cried, and every time I've been amazed that such a creative collaboration is possible in a place like PG. There is a lot of theatre going on in this town (you can only quad so much). But this is by far the best, in my opinion. But if you want more, check out the Prince George Symphony's line-up. It's excellent. The Playhouse also produces some great community theatre shows.

They have arcade cabinets to play or purchase, board game and card game tournaments, and infamous Smash-Bros. tournaments. Great connection to the community. Only complaint is that the stock of retro games can get pretty thin, but this is a consequence of being in the interior. The owner and staff are amazing, and will always give great discounts to regular customers. Love this place.

When visiting my brother up in Prince George we decided to get out and see the Avatar sequel. However, it's just another of Cineplex's theatres that they do the absolute minimum in regard to improvements and upkeep. They even haven't taken the time to change the name, which still shows the Famous Players logo. The carpets all look very old, and clean but show the age of such a long time enduring foot traffic. Now the staff were all friendly, I have no complaints about that. I do have an issue with management regarding how concessions are stored or policies. I bought a large drink, a hot dog and a small popcorn. The hotdog was almost impossible to bite into because it was so old. This was NOT a hotdog that had simply been there since the morning, it had to have been the previous day. Unacceptable and yes I get that theatres are struggling in places, but this whole experience screams to me: "I should have waited for home and better seating and much better food!." Given the age of the location it does not have the newer stadium seating, but still makes the seat reservations which is nice regardless. The ONLY reason this place is still in business is there are no other options in Prince George.

this place is awesome! my friend lives in prince george, and we were visiting her from the UK. my…read moreboyfriend and i are pretty obsessed with animals, and on a cloudy, overcast june day, my friend couldn't think of much else to do in PG apart from come here. and we were so glad we did! when we first arrived, we thought it was shut as the opening wasn't immediately obvious, and the gate stated 'closed entrance' which we later worked out to mean that the entrance gate should stay closed at all times, not that the farm was closed! it costs $6 to enter, and you can buy feedbags for two or four legged friends depending on your preference for $1. best $7 spent in PG for sure! the farm has lots of different animals to interact with, including tons of goats, who love being petted. they will follow you around for one more scratch, which is adorable. we also had the pleasure of meeting buddy, one of the farm dogs, who followed us around as we went. so cute! my heart belonged to the cats, particularly the little tortie with half a tail, who let me pick her up and wander around the farm with her in my arms whilst she snuggled down to sleep. ahhhh, be still my melting heart! if you like animals at all, and at any age, then this place will bring you joy.
