Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful grounds, it feels secluded and has beautiful gardens to wander. We were married in March and even though there were no leaves or flowers blooming it was a pretty backdrop for all our photos. It's really flexible & perfect for small to medium sized events. It's literally a blank slate awaiting your creative vision. You can comfortably seat roughly 100 guests. Free parking is available onsite and there are a couple outdoor areas available for ceremonies as well. Finally, the cost is reasonable. Clean logistics planning. Quick turnaround on contracts. Basic execution support (to include a small selection of on-hand decor). Great location, easy parking (private lot), beautiful views of campus, nestled in a small garden. The only three things renters should be aware of with the smaller chapel is, considering the age of the building, 1) sound proofing is non-existent. Every time a guest opens a door (chapel door, bathroom door, etc) you hear the open and close; 2) there really isn't much space for rollers, wheel chairs, etc in the small chapel. So for memorial services with a heavy elder load-in this may be a challenge; 3) there is no additional space for repast or informal celebration attached to the chapel so guests will have to travel for post activities. Attempting to book an event with the Treetop Atrium was a complete disappointment. I contacted the…read morenumber listed online several times during late 2018 to no avail. My mother received a recommendation about the Treetop Atrium and I was very excited to host my baby shower there. She also attempted to reach the coordinators at the venue and received a call back just this April. That should have been alarming enough, but I still set an appointment to view the space. Shirley, the event manager, met me on an afternoon in April and showed me around the venue. Again, I was excited about the possibility of booking the space after our meeting. She even offered to honor the Winter special price of $2500 instead of the $3900 the space is renting for at this time. Shirley gave me her personal number and assured me I could communicate with her that way. When I mentioned I tried to reach her using the posted office number she told me I probably didn't answer the phone call when they returned it like most people do when they don't recognize a number, including her. I could not relate to that statement, but I let it ride to avoid ruffling feathers. It was clear to me at that point she was not willing to take responsibility for the poor communication and responses of the venue. Nonetheless, I let that go and thought moving forward could work in my favor. I left the venue and consulted with my family and friends and we decided booking the space would be best. Ms. Shirley confirmed an appointment with me April 18 at 1 pm to secure the space with a deposit and my mother agreed to meet her by text. In this text correspondence, I asked Shirley if my friends who would personalize the space could come at a later date to see the venue and she told me everyone had to be present April 18 at 1 pm. I further asked her to accommodate me and I was totally ignored. Shirley did not show up for the April 18 meeting with my mother although she confirmed this was the only time we could meet with her. My mother waited at the venue for an hour and a half, left Shirley a message and text her personal phone number provided. I also text Shirley to let her know my mother was waiting. She ghosted me completely. I was in shock that she did not show up for this meeting or reply to our correspondence. Needless to say she still has not returned my call to this day. I spoke to her assistant Frankie who told me Shirley had an emergency during our meeting and would call me in the following week. That never happened. It is very disheartening that this venue, but specifically Shirley, operates with such a lack of professionalism. If my request to view the space after booking it was too ridiculous for Shirley, she could have stated that she didn't want to continue the deal instead of intentionally ignoring my calls and texts. If Shirley did not want to honor the lower rate, she could have stated that as well. This is not the way to do business and I would suggest saving yourself the headache and book with a more professional venue. I am very disappointed in the way this business deal was handled, but I feel much more comfortable knowing I dodged a bullet in working with Shirley. Imagine if she arbitrarily started to ignore me after I was financially involved? Beware of business deals with the Treetop Atrium. Prince George's County deserves a more professional venue than what they are able to offer consistently.

It's the perfect venue for any outdoor wedding. You can go classic country and full on rustic or add your own flare, like we did with a vintage adventure theme. Either way, your vision will come to life with the help of the amazing scenery and landscape. Honestly, even with minimal decor, the venue will take your guests' breath away. There is a charming bridal suite in one barn with beautiful vintage furniture including a vanity for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready and take the most amazing photos. Opposite of the suite is the most adorable bar where your caterer can set up for drinks. The main barn is beautiful, with natural light pouring through the sides and it's huge, with tons of room for decorations and personal touches. We used it for our ceremony and it was stunning. The property seems endless, as there is tons of space for tents of any size for a reception or just a set up under the stars in the summertime. There are winding paths and a clearing in the woods that is beautiful for a ceremony or first look. There is even a fire pit, which we set up a s'mores bar four our guests near. Besides the scenery itself, Rick and Terry are amazing hosts. They take great care of their brides and grooms and make sure to keep in contact, making sure everyone is on the same page. The vendors they recommended took great care of us as well. They let us use hay bales to make cute furniture and a lot of other decor they owned themselves, to add to our wedding decor. When our coordinator slacked, they picked up and helped with EVERYTHING. I would recommend this venue to anyone for a wedding, photo shoot, or anything else needing an outdoor setting.

If you are looking to have a rustic, country-style wedding, this is the place to have it. The vistas are majestic, and the setting is magical. I loved the barns and the old machinery which give the place a lot of charm. There's even a meadow for the ceremony that's down a winding path...so cool for the reveal! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. In fact, the pies they served (especially the blueberry) were some of the best I've ever had. All in all, this is a great place to get married, and I hope I get to come back!
