They tried to insist we replace all of our nails for new rather than the fill we both wanted, which would be an extra $25 each. It was simply not needed! I had mine done about 2 weeks prior. When declining the offer, they got rather rude and started rambling on about how they went to school for this and know what they are talkin about. Very pushy. The staff members switched around so much while working on us. A male started me off, followed by a young women who did polish. - did a terrible job. I chose a light pink, obviously you need to do a few coats for it to show dark. It was almost clear still and I asked her to add another coat but she couldn't understand any English so she ignored and proceeded to put on too coat instead. Then another lady came and looked, took over and put more polish on top of my top coat. And then another top coat. Shellac, designs and jewels are all extra. Salon looked nice and clean. My nails aren't the greatest. Typical nail salon. My left index nail is longer then the right index nail. Not very even. Hardly used any gel, nails are very thin. Not impressed. The reason I went to Toronto is because I've only EVER had bad experiences in Burlington. From having my nail filed completely through, to paying way to much for crappy service and bumpy, thick, uneven nails. Let's just say, I hardly ever got a compliment and usually ended up soaking them off before the two week mark. Now, to the present day: I have these beautiful nails, in a shape I can't seem to get anyone to do properly other than at the place in Toronto (stiletto, mountain peak, almond, etc...) Unfortunately, the nails have grown out and i had about 1cm of growth on each nail. It wasn't attractive but I didn't want o go all the way to Toronto just for a fill. I called a place in burlington that had okay-ish photos on their website..... but when I explained I just wanted a fill and polish change, they said they wouldn't do it and it they'd charge me to remove them and then re-apply a full new set. This is what I didn't want. The shape was what I wanted to keep. Anyways, I live around the corner from Lvy and had seem some advertising so I decided to give it a shot. They looked good now I wanted to see what they could do! Laughs were had and almost immediately as I walked in. I could tell, this is my new nail salon! Not only did the man who did my nails do an incredible job, but he made the shape even somehow BETTER! It was easy and I got exactly what I wanted.
