I usually don't mind waiting, I'm understanding but as I'm waiting in the room I hear him complaining to staff about how people expect to be seen in 1 minute of being here. They had a several minute conversation about this. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he'll spend good quality time with his patients and that's why it takes so long. Nope. When he came into the room, he was very dismissive, talked over me, started to listen to my lungs when i was in the middle of telling him my symptoms telling me to breath in, so completely interupting me. Then when he goes to look into my ears he does not even use a speculum tip, not only is this disgusting and not sanitary, but also you can't see anything without the speculum tip!! Then he said he would send my antibiotic for strep throat and he never sent it, I went to pick it up the next day and he never sent it. When I called to ask them to send it, I waiting on the phone for 10 minutes and the office never picked up. Unbelievable.

Once the tech arrived, things were pleasant and reasonably speedy. Blood draw and urine sample achieved, even though there were significant disability issues involved.

Then when I get there I'm told to make a video appointment. After explaining I already tried that, I was told "well you would have to open your mouth during the exam and could gag". They stated that they are qualified to treat my issue, but can't treat me. They went on to insist that they were not refusing me treatment. You can treat + you won't treat = you refuse to treat. Simple as that. I had no symptoms/known exposure to COVID, I just needed an antibiotic, not that they even let me get to the point of being screened.

Eventually I was allowed and then seeing some of the most incompetent lady who stated my injury was in my head or nothing major and this person was a physician assistant. My evaluation of my injury was sloppy and rushed. Now I was offered Pt so I accepted at the time but soon found out it was worsening my symptoms. I had to get a second opinion. Upon getting a second opinion I found out that I had a spinal injury which was massively affected by the treatment I received at this facility. I can say the pt they have are amazing but the docs don't know what they are doing. I don't know how they have their licenses.

I mean..honestly the wait is rarely long (rarely, very occasionally there has been a long wait but of my visits 90 percent have involved a very short wait time.) All I needed was an EKG and results sent to my doctors office for comparison. The walk-in charged me $336 and my out of pocket was $238. The physicians are excellent and caring. Some of the staff are kind, and caring, and talented, as…read morewell. However, many of them are RUDE. None of them can be bothered to actually walk into the waiting room to get their patients. They stand in the hallway and bellow for people as if they are calling hogs. That is no way at all to treat people who are often very elderly, as well as frightened and upset, as well as hard of hearing. Since the ceilings are high and the floors are made of tile, the sounds echo. It's hard to tell where they are coming from, and you can't even see into the hall from the waiting room. Since the staff are employed by Yale, and not by the physicians, the physicians can't do anything about it. They receive multiple complaints, speak to the staff, and the staff ignore the complaints. If nurses can't take the time to walk 10 feet into a waiting room to collect a sick elderly patient, maybe those nurses should get jobs that involve shouting, but not walking. I have written to Yale to complain, but I don't find Yale to be anymore responsive to patient complaints than their staff. If you can find a hospital that is polite to the patients, go there instead.

However the office and the employees are another story. Most are interns that come and go. Let me say that the relationship you think you have with your physician can quickly be ruined especially when you have an issue or question. This happened to me today. I simply called and spoke to Wendy about a couple of office visits. Some of these visits were less then 3min. I perfectly understand insurance but requested to speak with Dr. Kim on a issue. When that happens it turns into money not the relationship. Wendy quickly got back on the phone and stated she spoke to Dr. Kim and she said unfortunately she cannot do anything. All I wanted was a quick chat. In conclusion look for at least a more up to date,private,professional office. I never really felt any of these factors until I was treated like a number today and not a 20+ year patient. I will never return to this office.
