Right next to the huge Galleries Lafayette are multiple Au Printemps, each dedicated to Women, Men, Home.... Not as crazy busy as Galleries Lafayette, some options are the same. I just assume Printemps and Galeries Lafayette are at loggerheads because they represent Paris' two most elite department stores. Jamie W and I made it a priority to visit Galeries Lafayette because of the famous Art Nouveau dome, which was indeed fabulous (review: https://yelp.to/XRXnKANd7b). We decided to visit Printemps as part of our rainy day itinerary because we figured it would be a good chunk of time where we could stay dry indoors. We were right, and the store was less crowded and easier to navigate than its direct competitor. We found ourselves at the charming Cafe Perche on the 7th floor, where we relaxed over rich 6,50€ Chocolate Chauds and delicious butter cookies (Photo 8). Afterward, we found ourselves on two different rooftop terraces, the first was a more contained space that provided immediate views of the area as well as the architectural detail. The second space was actually an entryway to a nice-looking restaurant (Le Picnic) but still provided glorious panoramic views for freeloaders like us. One floor down was an upscale food hall. Printemos has its own Art Deco-style dome, but it doesn't have the grandeur of Galeries Lafayette (Photo 5). Printemps was definitely one of our destinations when my shopaholic daughter and I spent a week in Paris. I had never heard of it but I definitely had a good time. Growing up we were Mall Rats so we were at home. I've still got my coupons in tact and the maps we were given. As usual I have my free souvenirs to revive my memories. I'm highly recommending a Printemps visit! I am pretty sure I did this review previously when I may have had more vivid memories! read more

Large indoor shopping mall experience in Paris. You can spend a full day here and still not get through it all. I echo everything Annie C. said. Getting a private room to leave coats and shopping bags is the way to go so you can keep your hands free and browse at your leisure. This is also a great way to escape if the weather isn't cooperating (raining or hot). Come in January when they hold one of their twice a year Paris sales to get the best deals on brands such as Maje, Sandro, BASH, MaxMara, etc! read more

Printemps in Paris is a must-stop for my friends and me on our annual trip. We easily spend five to eight hours here shopping, and it always feels worth the time. The selection is great and it's easy to get lost wandering through the floors. I highly recommend the personal shopping service. Having a private room to leave coats and bags while getting help from an advisor makes the experience so much more enjoyable and relaxed. Best tip is to come in late January when the sales are happening. The tax refund kiosks are also very easy to use, which is a big plus. read more

If you're in Paris and you want to shop, this is absolutely worth the stop. Because there are also a lot of dining options, you really can make this an all day affair if needed. Disappointed with the Club Printemps registration at the Printemps Haussmann store. Staff member Eden was unhelpful, unwelcoming, and seemed indifferent. As a tourist, I expected better service and inclusion. Printemps should train their employees to be more respectful and accommodating to international customers. read more

While visiting family I'm the Netherlands, we took a train to Paris for a overnight stay to see the Effiel Tower & purchase a specific item This "Mall" is huge!! I am not a "shopper", but the history of this place is intriguing. I would love to go back and walk around, when I have more time. read more

Our first time to visit while we were in Paris Mach 2023. Definitely the competition for Galleries Lafayette. We came here to find a specific designer brand; Goyard. We were lucky to arrive with a very short queue as the boutique is very small inside Printemps. Service was very thorough. My sister ended up purchasing a crossbody bag. I was tempted and held back. I will consider it next time since I already went shopping prior to arriving to this location. They have all the high end designer brands as well from Gucci, YSL and Louis Vuitton. They also have the more affordable Longchamp. We will comeback here again next time we're in Paris. It was late in the day and I neglected to take a photos (very unlike me) because we were so tired. read more

I love Printemp (P), only on Sundays, period. I make sure I don't step into P any other days but Sundays ONLY. Take my word, you'll be glad you did because the French people don't like to go out anywhere on Sundays and most of the shops are CERRADO but not P!!! I almost had the entire store to myself, I love it!! The services are excellent and I was able to detax in no time with the detax machine ( thanks to the cute young man who helped me while there was NO ONE in sight! Printemps is upscale department store located on Haussmann in Paris. It just a few steps from our hotel. I liked this large department store, they have many designer brands and decent products. Also, they are not crazy busy as Galeries Lafayette. Most of the reviews said Printemps staffs more friendly and helpful then Lafayette. I experienced quite different... I went to Goyard store, I didn't get greet and no help when I was browsing. If you like, just go and check out the Brasserie restaurant under one of the domes is excellent. But, don't miss the spectacular 360 view at the top of next building. It will surprise you.... read more

We walked over here from the Louvre (about 1.5 miles) around 4pm to catch a view of the rooftops of Paris. To get to the roof you need to enter the building with the men's clothing. I had meant to go up and have tea but we were directed to go all the way up to the top. The entrance to the bar is there. The entrance to the restaurant, I think, can only be accessed via the eighth floor. Well, we were in luck, the bar was just about to open. It was a really bright and sunny day. Lucky we had sunscreen with us. The bar area is quite small but really cute. We were the first in line so were able to grab some seats at the bar under the cover. I had an Aperol spritz and the guys refreshed with some beers. It was really relaxing to sit there and enjoy people watching, the bartenders and those amazing views. Even if you can't afford to shop here come on up for the view - it's free! read more

Amazing view :) it took a bit to find the roof top. Make sure you go to the floor location that has access to the top floor (8th, then there is an escalator to the top). The department store is very well kept and "bougie" if I may say... All the top brands and in a well lit location. Now, I to the roof top. After walking through the furniture store, you come across an escalator that leads up to the 9th. It's an amazing view and lighting at around 7-8pm (when it closes). You can get a wonderful 360 view of Paris and there is a little telescope you can view the Eiffel Tower from. The top patio has a classy side and a grassy, springy side as well. You can order some small drinks or desserts to your liking while you're up on the roof top. Would definitely recommend to take a peak at during your visit to Paris! read more

The rooftop view is breathtaking even though it doesn't have a closer view of the Opera House compared to the Lafayette Gallery. It also has more free space on the rooftop without needing to eat at their restaurant. We didn't shop here but we did spent a good amount on the food level. The pastries were alright but I would suggest getting them when they're freshly made in the mornings. My favorite thing about this place is they sell the French butter I was looking for (it was so good, we brought it around with us during the entire European trip). Lastly, this place serves pour-over and filtered American coffee, which is a rarity to espresso-loving Europeans. The coffee is pricey for a small size (about 5EUR) but it made my husband happy so it was well worth it. read more

This is a nice shopping mall with many luxury brands. They don't have too many sales going on. There are four buildings, I believe. The main one is women's clothing (located right on the main street corner). There is also a building for makeup products in the back. I'm not familiar with its entire layout, TBH. All I know is that the four buildings aren't connected, and you have to exit one fully to enter the other one. The sale associate can communicate in English. If you have time, you can process your refund here (for non-EU citizens) and get the cash refund on the ground floor. The staff members are generally helpful in the refund area. If you don't have your passport with you, you can process your refund at the airport customs office. Four stars because this building could use more directory boards for people like me. read more

If you're trying to decided between Printemps Haussmann or Galleries Lafayette (which are located next to each other) choose Printemps Hausmann! My experience here was more relaxed than the other shopping places I visited. There were minimal people and it was easy to move around. In the shoe department, there was an associate for each brand. I've never seen that before. The associates were super helpful and I was able to quickly and easily find a pair of comfortable shoes at a fair price. read more

They don't work on commission which is great. This mall was packed. It was so hard to stop and admire the design and architecture without getting bumped by someone. They have select sizes on racks and everything is "in the back." You do end up waiting a long time while you wait for the sales associate to run back and grab your size. I was also not a fan of the line building up outside of Louis Vuitton and Chanel. A sales associate will walk you around the shop until you've decided your purchase and walk you out. Only then, will they allow the next person in line to come in. Long story short- you can't really peruse around those shops. On the bright side, they do have an Angelina upstairs. Definitely worth trying out the hot chocolate. I, however, found it to be way too sweet. read more

During the winter holidays, the decorations are worth a stop. The customer service can be a hit or miss. I would especially recommend to go there when there is a clearance. Compared to other malls we went to, this place had a great selection and was not crowded at all! The building itself is beautiful and organized well. This is my heaven. All the fashion houses under one roof. Gucci, Prada, Rolex, you name it, they have it but bring your credit cards. They also house french designers, so fun to see all the collections especially when there is a sale going on. Sales associates were all very nice. Not annoyed by the stroller or what it was carrying but i think they were blinded by my ginormous Louis bag. This is Neimans on steroids without any seating. My poor mom and child were annoyed. I prefer the Galleries Lafayette but this is a must stop for shoppers even if you are just looking. read more

One star because of the inability to use a picture of the passport or a European non-EU ID card for the tax refund paperwork. We have traveled all over Europe and this is the only business where this was the case. It's very upsetting when you spend lots of Euros, only to find out at the end of the shopping spree that you have the option to forfeit your tax refund or to trek back across Paris with your physical passport. No other business where we have bought things and wanted a tax refund in France, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, or Italy was this inflexible! I'll take my Euros elsewhere next time. read more

Along with Galeries Lafayette, Printemps is my top recommendation for a one-stop shopping destination in Paris. It's huge and luxurious, with a bit more of a concentration on the high end than its neighbor. While both Galeries Lafayette and Printemps carry the premium brands - Louis Vuitton, Chanel, et al. - Printemps median price range is probably a little bit higher. I've been to Printemps a few times, and I would definitely recommend going during sale season. During a July trip to Paris, some of my best finds were at Printemps, purchased from the floor that boasted cute French mid-range brands like Manoush and ba&sh. I tried on adorable duds by the armful and they were all deeply discounted. Damage was done. I also love the handbags at Printemps, namely the thorough selection of Jerome Dreyffus, my favorite brand for a reliable and gorgeous purse. He's hard to find in the States, and I always make sure to check out his section in Printemps. Sadly, it appears there is no longer a 10% off promotion discount for tourists, though please correct me if I'm wrong. You can still get your taxes back, which mitigates the effect of a long shopping day, but man that 10% was nice. In any case, Printemps is still worth an expensive visit when sales roll around, and I would recommend the place for a thorough browse even if you're only window shopping. read more

Friday afternoon, all the eateries inside this grand magasin were packed. Downstairs @ Cojean, the server asked me to try BP, even though it was nearing break time/lull between dining services. Went upstairs and was immediately seated. Waiter said that they had a limited tea time/gouter menu. They had some sandwich/salad/basic drink combos or grilled caesar salad, etc. Selected the smoked salmon sandwich w/small arugula salad and tap water w/adult hot coffee drink- amaretto moka. Kid had the grilled chicken breast sandwich with also the same salad and the eponymous Angelina hot chocolate served @ BP. Both came with delicious crispy/potato-y fries. I asked the waiter for another pepper mill and some ketchup. He asked me why, told him it didn't work. He sent a younger waiter over to ask me in halting English what was wrong. Told him it didn't work. Got another one, same thing. Both tried the mills, nothing came out. They apologized for the bum pepper mills. 4th try was the charm, finally got a good mill! Funniest amusing looks on their face when they saw me add the pepper to ketchup then enjoy fries with gusto. Department store food is department store food. Decor and people parade made it fun eating experience after a full day of lèche vitrine-ing. read more

It seems that the popularity of Printemps pale in comparison with Lafayette's big time, there are not many people around there even though it is in their 150 anniversary. The shopping mall was decorated beautifully in their 150 anniversary, a giant Christmas tree as tall as Printemps, mascot attached on the tree who was winking one of his eye, opposite the tree sat a exquisite castle which was made for 150 anniversary as well. Despite I love Printemps as much as I love Lafayette, yet, to some extent, I prefer to go to Printemps to Lafayette, not only is the people more manageable, but also Printemps has offered all what Lafayette had offered, Printemps totally suffice to customers' requirements. read more

Wowzers! This place is for the high class. They have high end items here. I had to use the resteroom and it cost me 1.50 euro! But hey I was desparate. My friend's cousin works for Cleo Blue jewlery and that was the main reason why we went to the Printemps to visit her. I liked that they had a Laduree there. Yum! Is the place to see a bit of their collection, if you don't have time to walk through the boutiques at SAINT-HONORE Street, Printemps is your department store! There you are able to know what's happening on the super designers and still shop local cool brands with a better price. Don't expect the five star guest treatment! Only came to this department store to look at the Longchamp store with my parents. Yet, this Longchamp store didn't have the handbags that my mom and I wanted. But, this mall was a lot less crowded than Galeries Lafayette during the day I went and I personally like this department store better. So fun to shop here! Even if you have no intention to buy something, I guarantee that you'll leave with a bag in your hand. Printemps is a chain department store with various locations throughout. Coming here reminds me of Japanese stores (selection wise ONLY) ; in Toronto, we're deprived as we have 1/10000000th of the selection and everything costs like 50 percent more. I bought a watch here and the sales rep was super; I told her what kind of watch I wanted, she found some that fit my criteria, and then I bought a watch. On the other hand ... Dancing Mac Cosmetics Boy. Oh boy. He saw me, but he couldn't stop dancing to the Lady Gaga tune that was playing on the floor. I was impressed; whilst dancing like a mad man, he adjusted and balanced his hat to sit on the corner of his head. Anyway, I noted the name of the Mac lipstick I wanted. Perfect place to stop if you want one stop shopping. The store is enormous and there are many designers and labels to choose from. The store is open on Sunday.
