A small shop, it's very reminiscent of what you'd imagine a local village car business of a bygone era would look like, with an endearing sort of cluttered workshop feel about the place. As you'd expect from a shop such as this, the two guys working in there when I went in were both extremely knowledgeable when it came to cars, and were more than happy to talk and give me some free advice. After such great service, I felt obligated to buy something, and although I was extremely wary of the fact that such a small shop may be having to charge very high prices, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the same wipers that I'd found in a large chain store for the same price.

Autoparts is an independent car parts shop with keen prices and a wide range of stock. They also have an eBay store with a ton of harder to find parts that you're able to access too. What sets it apart from any major chain store nearby is the friendly service from staff. If you're a petrol head who knows what he's doing - they can talk your language. But I'd you're a car dunce (as I am) then Shane, Kevin and the team don't think twice about offering you guidance and helping you fit standard parts such as windscreen wipers and hub caps. Great service! There is free parking outside the store and plenty of free Street parking around the Square too.

The interior of the building is old, but that doesn't matter much when you're getting a tyre fitted. What you will appreciate is the old-fashioned courtesy and excellent service. Your car will be in and out in no time, and that annoying task of having to get a new tyre/tyres can be ticked off your to-do list without too much anguish, and without having to shell out too much cash. All aspects of the service were explained to me, and I was asked whether any additional work needed to be brought to their attention. A confirmation email was received following my booking. The excellent 5 star customer service continued when it came to the day of the service. A phone call was made to me to inform me of the additional work that needed to be carried out, asking for my permission for this to be done after dropping my car off. They then telephoned me to let me know my car was ready for collection. When it came to collecting my car a breakdown of the work carried out was given, including future work that required to be carried out was explained to me fully. A visual health check document was given, so I could clearly identify what work and checks had been done on the car. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this garage again, and would recommend to friends and family.

Had an engine fault while 150 miles from home and limped to a dealer in Hull. Dealer called BSM in Lichfield to get the codes for computer as I didn't have the service book with me, we were told it was not possible to get them from my file as it would take too long! Girl on phone was rude and abrupt. Then ended up speaking to sales manager as service manager was out, only to be told he could do nothing and stated that I had not purchased the car from them. Ended up being recovered from Hull. As I had been a customer for the last 5-6 years (my car and my wifes) I found this level of "service" unacceptable, and they have now lost a customer
