I have passed Golfsmith many times on Manchester but never stopped in...boy, I sure glad I did. The store is amazing. Well organized and stocked to the gills. The have everything you might need for golf. They also have golf simulators and they will let you try out clubs. The folks working were very helpful especially for a hack like me as they really helped me pick some golf balls that fit my poor game. While I don't live close to Golfsmith, I will definitely go there again!

Obviously I had two terrible experiences and didn't want to shop here anymore so I would drive out of my way an go even further to Chesterfield (Amazing store). Today I decided to go to the Manchester location.....and I'm glad I did. I met Dave in the club re-gripping and repair station. A wonderful human being who provided me with exceptional customer service! We talked about grips, what we preferred, what we didn't, and what we felt were a little gimmicky (no shot at anyone who likes a particular thing ). Dave is an outstanding professional with a great personality. Don't sleep on his skills on gripping clubs either. Watching him was a work of art. This is what golf is about, this what the golf community is about. He didn't know my handicap, and he didn't care. He didn't judge me on my clothes, where I was from, he just knew I was there to get some help with something I loved, GOLF!!!! While I waited for my grips I snagged a beautiful pair of footjoys, that hopefully make my feet happy. When I purchased the grips, I lost a 15% discount on a mishap with their online ordering. The young gentleman at the checkout desk helped me get the discount attached and purchase the grips at the price I was promised online. I felt like all the pricing was reasonable, and honestly I can't find it much cheaper anywhere else. They do price match with certain stores if you show them. I can't express how pleased I was to meet Dave and have such a fun time spending money on my biggest hobby. Fun fact, I also found out Dave is a Santa clause!!! An excellent one at that. I called a week in advance to book a simulator rental for an hour, which I was told would cost $50. That seemed reasonable, so I went ahead. When I arrived, there was nobody at the front desk and no one available to help me set things up. After wandering around, I finally asked one of the instructors in another bay if he could assist. He was completely unhelpful, told me he didn't know how to adjust the simulator settings properly, and basically just shrugged off my requests. To make matters worse, the simulator itself was glitchy and wasn't recording my yardages accurately. I specifically needed it set up for a left-handed player, and he just refused to help or even try to figure it out. An hour went by with barely any assistance, and then he tried to charge me $100 instead of the $50 I was originally quoted, claiming it was actually $50 for just 30 minutes. Overall, it was a terrible experience. The staff was unprofessional and unhelpful, and the equipment didn't even work properly. I definitely won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

For me it's dance, which really is nothing like golf, but at least understanding that I've been trained to do the opposite my whole life is actually really helpful. Not really cheap, but private lessons in anything never are, and they're not ungodly overpriced, which is nice. I bought a 10-lesson package, so we'll see how it goes! Parking is a pain, as the garage is really full no matter what time of day I go (I've gone with BF for his before), but there's coffee right across the street, and I can't complain about that.
