It is so comparative to Central Park in Manhattan in terms of grandeur and liveliness. I don't know if you could walk Forest Park in a day and feel like you saw everything because it winds around and there are smaller trailers that pop in and out of nowhere. Surprisingly, I do not think the city takes care of the park, but an established group called Forest Park Forever, whose history starts back in the 60s, or 80s? They are a group of volunteers who tend to the park - every part of it, in every season, and really beautify it! There is security on patrol often enough so it's not too isolating and scary. There are parking lots closer to the main attractions. There is also street parking here, which adds to it being active but a park you can drive through, bike, and walk.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, especially Tram-Anh, the Event Coordinator. The staff was friendly, attentive, organized, and genuinely invested in making our celebration memorable from beginning to end. The food was outstanding and received rave reviews from our guests. Our family & friends felt comfortable, relaxed, and able to truly enjoy the evening together before the wedding, which in turn made our evening enjoyable as the hosts. The rental clubs were top notch Taylor Made irons and woods and the putter was a very nice Taylor Made Spider X. The course was awesome. It's short even from the yellow tees, but it's fun and fair. Greens fees were inexpensive, especially as a guy used to paying Phoenix green fees. Green fees and rental clubs worked out to about $100. What a deal. Thanks to the pro shop staff for being so welcoming as well.

Of course its also near the motor speedway and there was a race going on that day as well which made it difficult for traffic as well as the loud roars while playing.
