New cosmetic scratches, a key that is literally not working, etc. Paid an $80 "deposit" fee, which I suppose went towards the cost of further damaging my instrument. I took my keyboard to this place at the end of January 2024. I never heard a word from them. I called, emailed and heard no response. Their voice mailbox was always full. I even had the company that I purchased the keyboard from call them (to which they answered) and they were given a different answer each time they called. They said the part would be in that week (each time) and should be fixed shortly. A month later I still didn't have my keyboard. I only took my keyboard to this location because it was under warranty with Kurzweil and it was the only location near my house that answered the phone. Since then Kurzweil has removed them from their approved list. By the end of April 2024 I waited long enough and called them (which they finally answered) and told them I was picking up my keyboard and taking it somewhere else. Kurzweil had other approved repair facilities listed. When I picked up my keyboard it was taken apart, they lost my power cord, one of the mother boards and several of the screws. DO NOT TAKE YOUR EQUIPMENT TO THIS PLACE. The owner is rude and lies as to the status of your equipment. I brought a tube amp in for repair, it took close to a month to fix a capacitor what they said was a capacitor. When I picked the amp up, prior to a business trip out of the country I used it for less than 1 hour and it functioned normally. When I turned it on yesterday after less than 5 mins the same problem is happening as before. They have a 30 day warranty policy. For the amount of time they had the amp, and what the repair cost, it would have been nice if they had at least heard me out that maybe this amplifier, which had been sitting in my living room virtually unused should function for more than around 45 mins total after leaving their shop. When I found this business, they were the only amp repair shop on google within 25 miles of my house. I took a chance. If you are in need of tube amplifier repair, I would consider taking your business elsewhere. I declined the estimate, and was told, "we will contact you when its put back together for pick up". I go the next day to pick up my controller and I'm told by this same idiot that it will be put back together by 2pm I can come back then to get it. We had a terrible experience at Pro Audio-Video Plus. We came to pick up our module that we took out of a sub . It had not been repaired after sitting there for 8 months. 3 weeks earlier, we were there and were told they could not find , told to come back . This time we were told we could not get it because we did not have an appointment. We had already had issues with them as they lost a control board out of keyboard, supposedly fixed a powered speaker which later died after we picked up. I dropped an amplifier off for a friend, and after two months we heard nothing from them. We went to the store and they initially refused to give back the amplifier, saying that it was in pieces. We went back roughly a week later and asked for it again, and got the amp back. The amp was untouched, still not working and clearly never even taken apart. They charged a 70$ deposit for them to hold an amplifier for two months and do no work. DO NOT TAKE YOUR EQUIPMENT THERE!!!! They don't even deserve this one star I gave them. I dropped my Artesia digital piano with them because of a keynote issue. I was charged $80 for drop off and to check on the issue. Chris told me he will call me if the issue is just one key note or if he will have to change the whole key bed which will cost an additional $200 and I can decide if I want their service or not. When I emailed them a few days later to get the status of the piano, I was told I had to pay the additional $200 because he changed the whole piano. I didn't get a call to ask if they should go ahead or not but then It wasn't so much of a big deal to me then because I was just happy Chris claimed he fixed the piano issue. We picked up the piano and my daughter played on it the very same day we picked it up and she told me that the piano issue was even worse than the first time we took it in. Instead of one keynote having an issue, it was now multiple keynotes. I called Chris and told him I was bringing the piano back and when I did, he plugged it on and played it and said he didn't know what was going on but that he would change the piano bed again. He told me I would have to pay again to which I told him a big no because of obvious reason. A few weeks later, Chris called me and asked me to come pick up the piano because he has changed the key bed again and the piano still sound weird. He now claims the issue is the piano power cable. I told him the piano is new so I don't understand why it would be the power cable. Also, why change the whole piano bed, collect $280 and then suddenly the issue with the piano is a new issue? He started yelling at me on the phone for me to come pick up my piano because he doesn't know what to do with anymore, he has a headache and has to move on to the next job. He was really irate and he then hug up the phone on me. Chris is rude, unprofessional, lacks good customer service and in my opinion is not really knowledgeable in regards to repairing pianos. Even if he is an expert on other equipment, I wouldn't give him my 2 cents with his nasty attitude. I have considered this my loss.
