My new dentist referred me to someone he highly recommended, but the only thing I could think of was the experience I had with Dr. Shapiro back in 2020. Dr. Shapiro is a magician. So gentle and careful. Dr. Shapiro always addresses my concerns and even when I think I don't need a root canal he actually goes through small tests to verify if in fact I'm in the right place. Lol Dr. Shapiro explains what to expect in detail and makes sure I'm breathing and comfortable. No one wants this procedure right? But if I have to get a root canal I'm coming to see Dr. Shapiro. I am a young person and woman of color and both times I have come here Dr. Shapiro was professional and knowledgeable. I read the prior review and hate that you had that experience as that is nothing what I received. Needless to say Dr. Shapiro has been great through a difficult situation. He plans on retiring and I hate to hear it as he is soooo good at what he does and I would recommend his service and expertise to the most skeptical. Thank you for your service in a time when I was soo afraid of this procedure and thank you for care and patience during my procedure. I could go on but I won't. I would just say if you need a root canal go Dr. Shapiro before he is retired.

The staff are very kind, especially Laura, but do not let that fool you, Dr. Shapiro's office is the dentist office that gives dentistry a bad reputation. I was charged for a procedure I did not agree to, my pain was ignored, and Dr. Shapiro created an odd atmosphere as he commonly referenced me as "girl" and played old western music over the intercom, a small detail but odd. Probably a comfortable space for older white people but everyone else, choose any other option for your services, it will be money and time better spent. I have never written a review for any service ever, but I want to help anyone avoid what I experienced.

The staff is warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely focused on making your experience comfortable and stress-free. Dr. Bens takes time to listen, explain treatment options thoroughly, and answer every question without ever making you feel rushed. His attention to detail, clinical expertise, and commitment to providing exceptional care is evident. What truly sets this practice even further apart from other offices, is the personal connection they build with their patients. In an era when many healthcare offices can feel impersonal, Dr. Bens and his team create an environment where you feel valued, respected, and cared for as an individual, or really as part of a family. The office is beautiful, clean, organized, and runs efficiently. If you're looking for a dentist who combines outstanding clinical care with genuine compassion and a patient-first approach, this is the place! Our family has not had the best experiences in other offices, but now that we have found Dr. Bens, we have complete confidence in our dental care and won't go anywhere else!

Dr. Bens is the rare dentist who combines true professionalism with genuine compassion. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, making sure you fully understand your condition and treatment options. There is never any rush, and no question goes unanswered. What truly sets him apart is his level of involvement and advocacy for his patients. He referred me to an excellent endodontist for root canals and personally communicated with the specialist to ensure seamless care. He then referred me to a prosthodontist and went above and beyond--spending time on a phone call and texts coordinating my treatment. Dr. Bens even called me personally afterward to walk me through everything. Most impressively, after reviewing my prosthodontist treatment plan, Dr. Bens took the initiative to speak directly with the prosthodontist. That kind of dedication is extraordinary. He also took the time to carefully explain why the treatment was necessary and why the original cost was so high, which I truly appreciated. Dr. Bens is not only highly skilled but deeply invested in his patients' well-being. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found him and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone seeking outstanding dental care.

Plus, I got Braces 7 years ago. Overall, I am a 100% Satisfied customer. I believe having good teeth are related to have a healthy life. I was a patient at this office for nearly 10 years because I trusted Dr. Cheng. Unfortunately,…read moreafter my recent experience, I lost that trust completely. After my root canal, I returned for my crown appointment. The temporary material could not be removed normally. The dentist repeatedly rocked and pulled on my tooth for a long time. I repeatedly said I was in severe pain, but the only response I received was, "It will be over soon." After multiple unsuccessful attempts, the material finally had to be cut out with a dental drill. That night, my tooth began hurting continuously. An X-ray later confirmed inflammation. I was prescribed one week of antibiotics, followed by another week when the pain did not improve. The prolonged antibiotics caused severe stomach pain and digestive problems, yet my tooth continued to hurt. I eventually sought a second opinion and was told there was separation between the tooth and the surrounding gum tissue, persistent inflammation, and that extraction was recommended. When I returned to discuss the situation, I felt that my concerns were dismissed. Rather than acknowledging that something may have gone wrong, the office focused on defending itself. The only solution offered was a refund for the root canal and a discount on future treatment, while I was expected to pay for correcting the damage. The reason I refused any further treatment from this office is because this was not the first time. About two years earlier, I chose to have what I believed was a minor procedure because I wanted to take care of my dental health before it became a bigger problem. Instead, I developed a serious infection afterward, and my face became severely swollen. I returned for additional treatment, but it failed again. I was eventually referred to another specialist, who successfully treated the problem. I was also told that the surgical wound was uneven and had not been completely closed. After experiencing two serious complications at the same office, I no longer had confidence in receiving additional treatment there. I understand that complications can happen in dentistry. What disappointed me most was not only the treatment outcomes, but also the lack of compassion, accountability, and respect when problems occurred. I am sharing only my personal experience in the hope that other patients can make informed decisions.

Mind you I've been coming to Laser Dentistry since I moved to GA in 2018 and Dee my hygienist up until she left over a year ago was the absolute best. Ever since she left, I've not been too pleased with my cleanings and Tara gets crowned "the rudest, most uncaring, rushed job, smart mouth Queen. When she started, she was rough and I told her I have sensitive teeth and asked her to be more gentle. She said "I can tell by the look on your face" and laughed. I said, Yes, you're too rough". She proceeded and was still rough and rushing. I told her she was hurting me and she replied, "Sometimes we have to bear the grit and pain". It took everything in me not to snap on her because she clearly had no clue that I'm a loyal patient but I'm not some kid she can talk down to. After literally 15 or 20 minutes, she was done. I asked her what happened to polishing my teeth and she told me she did that first. I said, "oh really". Oh I forgot to say the first round of X-rays she did came back with "error" so she had to do them again and was very rough with the "bite" process as well. After Dr Nguyen came in to check X-rays etc, he told her to do something that should've done initially that she failed to do. Then after that she told me I was done. Mind you she never gave me a rinse so my mouth felt gritty and she didn't give me my dental care package. I complained about her at checkout and thankfully Caroline went and got my rinse and Char got my care package but I overheard her tell Char, "She was only here 30 minutes" as if that was justification for her not giving me my care package. All I know is I told them I would not sit in her chair again and that she needs a whole lot of training on bedside manners and not rushing! She thought it was all funny. Luckily, I love the staff because my experience with her made me think about finding a new dentist. However, I realize she's the bad apple in the bunch and she will not run me away. So warning, go to Laser but if you want a great teeth cleaning and good bed side manners, stay away from Tara's chair. She SUCKS! Love the rest of the team tho.. so they get 5 stars but Ms Tara gets a negative 5. I said what I said. Tara, do better! PeriodT!

I gave her my other insurance and she said we have use your primary (that doesn't cover you). That makes no sense at all but I needed my tooth fixed. Coughed up 2000.00 hopefully to get reimbursed later. The dentist himself was nice but the work was shit. Soooo much of the filler material was coming out of the tooth of concern and onto another perfectly healthy tooth to the point where I still cannot floss between these teeth. I noticed this on the X-ray too and even mentioned to him and he said oh that's fine. What? A month goes by and don't have a receipt or EOB for my insurance. I call yesterday and she still can't seem to give me what I need to get my money back "it'll be another 2 weeks" BTW nothing at all is told to me about what I need paperwork-wise for my insurance that would have covered this fully on that day. Nothing. Today the tooth is disintegrating. What the fuck. I call very calmly. "They always tell you you need a buildup and crown after a root canal". No one told me this nor is it written anywhere. No one. Even after the root canal my coworker who has had one before says usually they tell you to don't eat on that side of the mouth for a day or so. Nothing told to me. At all. This makes sense too because now the filling surface of the tooth is dipping very very low in comparison to the adjacent tooth on the other side of my mouth. I asked if this disintegration going to effect the success of the crown and buildup. She says it "depends on the tooth." Why are there no clear answers. I will be calling again if my dentist says. No apologies no guidance. Nothing told to me at all about anything. Disintegrating tooth. Out 2000.00 for something I have insurance for for another 2 weeks. Another dentist visit awaiting me. I am pissed but I understand they don't care. Never stepping foot in there again.
