It was so easy to work with Paige from Pro-Mix and she came more than prepared with the total equipment.

Having been to many weddings, we probably can't tell you what we ate at half of them or what color…read morethe table linens were, but chances are we'll remember if we had a great time dancing or not. The DJ really sets the tone for all the guests, so it was very important for us to do our research when looking for ours. We went to a friend's wedding last year where Elmo was the DJ and remember being so impressed with how the his music selection kept people on the dance floor all night! We knew this was the type of atmosphere we wanted at our wedding too. After meeting with several other DJ companies, there were a couple things that made Elmo stand apart. First of all, his price can't be beat. And not only was his price the best, it was also a simple flat rate. We didn't have to worry about paying him extra if the reception ran longer than anticipated or anything like that. It was also nice that Elmo wasn't trying to be too much of a salesman like the other companies. Some of the other places were focused on showing you all the bells and whistles with their sounds system and lighting. Instead he was very friendly and professional as he went through a sample wedding day itinerary and pointed out all of the important choices that we would have to make. After we filled out the planning form that he provided us, we had a phone conversation the week before the wedding just to make sure we were all on the same page. We were able to give input on what type of music to play during the cocktail hour, dinner, and had play and do-not-play lists for the dancing. He seems to have all of his bases covered and was prepared for everything. Our reception was very much like the other one we attended with Elmo--people were on the dance floor the entire night! We had many guests say how much fun they had and were surprised how many people were dancing. We would definitely recommend Elmo as a DJ for anyone else's wedding! He was great to work with!!

We couldn't have been happier with Spinnin' Discs! They DJ'd our wedding in Chicago last month…read more Starting with the intro call with Ron, they were super friendly and easy to work with. They had helpful organizational tools leading up to the event that kept us on track with which songs we needed and gave us an easy place to log them. We had a prep call with our DJ, Chris, who asked us questions about our musical taste, level of DJ interaction we wanted at the wedding, etc. And on the day-of, he delivered: the dance floor was packed and everyone had a fantastic time. My biggest fear in hiring a DJ is that they would be cheesy, or not be able to read the room, and Chris was neither of those things. He knew his stuff and what we wanted, and was a valuable addition to our day. I would highly recommend Spinnin' Discs (and Chris in particular!) to anyone planning a wedding!

Spinnin Discs is a great DJ choice for a good value. I hired them for my wedding in March. They…read moremake sure that you vibe well with your DJ and meet him before hand. Spinnin Discs did both my ceremony music and the reception - so they assigned us 2 DJs for the entire day. We worked with Anthony and he was great. They make it really easy for you to select songs on their website - listing out all the specific portions of the ceremony processional and reception that you need to select songs for. The need to select a list of songs for cocktail hour, dinner, etc. was a little overwhelming for me - I would have preferred if they would have gotten an idea of what kind of music we liked and went with that. Overall, I think the DJs did a great job of keeping people on the dance floor. I loved when he threw in some old school Blink 182 for everyone to dance to. My only complaint is that he played all of my "Must Plays" in a row more toward the end of the night instead of spreading them out. I also like that they do a good job of coordinating and practicing with you for introductions to make sure they get all the names pronounced right.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This DJ was horrible. He played the worse selection ( not even…read morewhat was selected). His equipment malfunctioned several times during important dances and announced nothing. Unprofessional and unprepared! To top it off HE BROUGHT A DATE

Where to start... I filled out 3 forms that included the names of my bridal party, parents names,…read morecouple names, how interactive I wanted the DJ to be, the songs I absolutely wanted played at the reception, and a timeline of the reception. The "dj" was not dressed for a wedding, he showed up with a random female with him. He was more interested in her than my reception. Right before our grand entrance, he had to grab the coordinator as he didn't have anyone's names (including myself and my groom). Again this information was on the forms I filled out. He played the wrong song for multiple important dances (mother/daughter as my father has passed so I wanted a special dance with my mom, and then I did a mother/daughter dance with my daughter). Both songs were wrong so I had to run to the booth and tell him he had the wrong songs. He was not interactive with the crowd at all. He didn't announce anything, he did nothing but press a button and flirt with whoever the woman was with him. Oh! And because she was there the catering fed her a meal as we are required to feed the dj so we ended up paying for an extra meal that was not planned. He continued to cause the speakers to squeal loudly causing my guests to cover their ears multiple times. The speeches were supposed to be at 7pm (written on the timeline they had on their website as a required form) and he never started them. My photographer had to go and remind him it was time for speeches/toasts. After he was reminded he held out the microphone and wiggled it at my husband for him to come get it. He was supposed to announce the speeches and toasts not wiggle the microphone at us! He played the cha cha slide twice back to back. And never once played a song I had added to my music list. At the end of the night he approached my husband and I and told us per our contract it was required that we make a quick video about the dj. We both said we weren't comfortable doing that but again he reiterated it that it was in the contract. We were intoxicated by this point of the night and didn't have said contract on hand so we did a video. He was not satisfied with what was said and had us record two more after the first one. When he realized we weren't going to say exactly what he wanted he left it alone. As most know, after a wedding things move quite quickly. Since I didn't reach out in the 3 day limit according to the contract nothing could be done. However, because of the video, I have been accused of lying about the service provided. I remained respectful when talking to the owner (Dave...not a woman owned business btw). He was rude and nasty and continued to throw the contract in my face about the 3 day policy but never answered my questions about who the extra woman was, why we had paid to feed her, how any of this was professional, and how we did not get the service we paid for. This was such a horrible "DJ" service. I do not recommend anyone hire them.

I'm not sure what he speaks about, but today it should have been about how road rage is not the way to respond to someone who has to cut you off in order to avoid an accident. Let me share my story with all of you. Thursday, September 15, 2022, at approximately 9:00am, I was driving on route 53 going southbound. Traffic was heavy and as I approached the Palatine road exchange I noticed that the ramp was packed. I was in the right lane and found myself in a situation where the cars coming onto the highway were not yielding the way they should. To avoid being sideswiped, I checked my mirror, saw that there was a truck in the middle lane and had to quickly move over to avoid the car who was not yielding. I was able to move over, felt bad that the truck had to brake but hoped he understood. He did not. The truck moved over to the far left lane, but then chose to hit my car at the back passenger door. The driver pulled to my side and the man behind the wheel either gave me a thumbs up, or the finger and drove off. I was able to pull my camera out and snap a few pictures of the license plate and the logo on the side of the truck. I called the number and spoke to a very nice man who assured me that the owner of the company was a good guy and surely hadn't done this on purpose. Based on his thumbs up, I have to disagree. He swerved his large truck, hit my car, which had my four year old grandson buckled up on the side of the car he chose to hit, and drove off. I asked that he call me back. He has not. Yes, I have filed a police report with the state police, and yes, me having to move into his lane, making him have to brake is absolutely my fault. But Wes Owen's road rage is his fault. He endangered my four year old special needs grandson and left the scene, I'm told to make a motivational speech. I hope it was worth it Wes Owens. You scared a small child and damaged my car because you got mad at the woman who was trying to avoid an accident. If this man comes to your place of business or god forbid your school to motivate your employees or children, please know that he suffers from road rage and a complete lack of grace for others.
