We used Pro-Mix for our schools annual Daddy Daughter Dance and they were excellent! I would refer everyone I know their way! We had a black light dance party and they were accommodating and even had a confetti cannon that made our event a bigger hit than it already was! I had Dads thank me and tell me what a great job They did and what a great time they had! You could even hear the squeals from the girls on the outside of the gym when the Confetti Cannon went off! I first met Pro Mix at the Bridal Expo. They provided the uplights/DJ/ pipes/drapes for my reception. I worked with Chris and he suggested great ideas for the uplights, where the colors would change throughout the night. Mike who is the owner of the company was also my DJ / MC, I provided a detailed schedule and gave him full control of the reception night. Although, we were running behind on schedule due to rain/late guest arrival, Mike was able to manage and run the show smoothly. The lighting decor, truss, and the pipes/drapes turned out beautiful. The speakers quality was very nice. It wasn't too disturbingly loud, but yet the whole reception room can hear clearly. During my first dance, the lights gradually changed colors and the dance floor looked like a nightclub. Everyone had a blast and I received many compliments. It was a pleasure to rent karaoke equipment from them. The website had all of the information and I was able to make a reservation directly from there. The store has no identification from the road that I could see. I had to drive around the building to the back, and then all I saw was loading docks and trucks. But I did notice that the doors had identification on them. The door in front (last on the left of the building), had a small business name on it and you have to be buzzed in. But inside it was a very easy process; from looking at the equipment I was going to be renting and how easy it was to set up. When I picked up about a month later, I still had to be buzzed in but they were expecting me and took me to the equipment. It was all color coded and Eric showed me each piece, how it went together, and how it worked. The equipment was easy to set up, sounded great, and easy to pack back up. The return process entailed literally walking in the store, putting the equipment on the floor, and leaving. It was a pleasure to rent my equipment from pro tech and I will again if I'm looking to use karaoke. read more

OMG.. this place is a GEM! My brother and I came here to get DJ equipment for my wedding. I met the most helpful and nicest people here. Usually, I am not easily impressed but I was when i walked into their warehouse (a bit hard to find but so worth it). I was floored by how little it costed me to rent two really nice speakers, a sound board, and 2 mic's. My price was $160. We got the equipment for 3 days (pick up Sat and drop off Mon). talk about a great deal! They demo'd the sound system for you right there. I was in and out in 10 mins - extremely happy! We saved a ton. also, i believe their base dj rate/hr is $300. read more

I went to rent out lighting 3 hours before a party since our DJ cancelled last minute. They set it up in front of me and everything seemed fine. Once I arrived at the location of the party, I took out the stand and next thing you know, the screw that tightens the base completely stripped. I came back the next day to return the equipment and told them what had happened. Within seconds, I was chastised for stripping the screw and treated very disrespectfully by a man who didn't even rent out the equipment to me. He continued his lecture with, and I quote, "This is our ONE GOOD stand, and now it's ruined. You have to pay $20 for a new screw." Now, I don't know much about audio and lighting, however, if I work at one, I would never admit to a customer that my store only has ONE GOOD STAND; they should have multiple good stands. This place clearly rents out cheap equipment (besides the stripped screw...the cases holding the equipment were held closed by bungee chords since the zippers didn't work). I do not recommend this place. If you decide to go through with them, CHECK EVERY LAST PART OF THE EQUIPMENT BEFORE WALKING OUT OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED. read more
