Decided to try Pro nails again after saying I would not give them any more of my money, what was I thinking, never again any who I went in to receive a pedicure no price list posted. i got called to the back and after placing my feet in the water I was handed a price list for the various pedicures that the salon offered with the CHEAPEST starting at $ 61.00. I asked the person that was giving me the pedicure if something else was available more reasonable she replied yes the basic pedicure of course she did not provide the cost. Once she was finished she walked to the register and rung up the charge for my service $ 49'.99. Now I understand stand why at 3pm on a Saturday the shop was almost empty expect for the 3-4 other customers, and the nail techs were sitting around with empty chairs in front of them. My daughter just got a full set done and within 4 days 2 have popped off! It was the girl at desk 16, far back left. She did my nails the time before and mine started lifting! Lifting causes nail fungus! But I hope and pray that when my daughter goes back tomorrow for a new set, not to get the same girl! Also the owner started her nails then handed her over to the other girl!! All I know is they need to remove the remainder of her nails and start over. Her nails are thick and lumpy! I was looking for a salon to get a relaxing pedicure and my nails done. I've been to few local salons but in recent reviews they seemed to have fell off a bit. So I came across Pro Nails and I wasn't really sure what I wanted, but they assisted me with getting a full acrylic set and wow, when I tell you I found a treasure spot!!! I was really nervous trying a new place, but they made me feel comfortable and they helped me pick out the right shade of green for a party dress I showed Jenny. They were so friendly and welcoming, are a small team of 5 which I love because you can get one on one with your technician, where they get to know your nails with what you like and don't like. Omg, the suger scrub I washed my hands with was amazing... hands feel like a baby's butt. I'm not impressed. Got my nails painted on Saturday just for them to look crappy and chipped. I had the girl redo my nails SEVERAL times because you could see the brush strokes etc. on top of that, they did not dry my finger nails and when I begged for them to do such, they used a fan. I had a great experience. This was my first time getting SNS dip powder nails. I was in and out of there in 30 minutes, I went during the week so it wasn't as busy as the weekend. These nails are 2 weeks old and they still look good! My nails have been feeling week so using this powder prevents them from breaking so easily. I had a very negative experience with my manicure here. The young lady who did them seemed extremely rushed and filed my nails almost down to the bone. I am currently in pain at touching anything. My cuticles were not properly taken care of and the edges of my fingers were cut so close the skin is peeling up. I've heard the owner/manager does a great job but the younger woman who helped me today was in a rush to get done. I had an event that evening so I just paid and left. read more

I have been to this nail salon a few times now and have not been disappointed. I did not catch her name but the younger woman that had done my nails today was quick and shaped my nails perfectly. She knew the exact color I wanted and all I said was light gray. She suggested a matte finish instead of shiny which looked so beautiful. She noticed there were some bubbles in the paint and corrected it which has not always been the case in past experience with other salons. All around I am pleased with this business and the staff and highly recommend. read more

I have always had a speedy and excellent experience. Everyone is always so nice and talkative, my pedicures are wonderful and relaxing and I highly recommend. The lady who did my nails was literally talking on her phone the whole time, and was so distracted by everything else going around her that she was rushing on my nails. My nails are different lengths/shapes, and she filed until my finger started bleeding, after I told her she was hurting me. When I asked if I could come back the next day and get them fixed, they told me to "wait two weeks to let them grow out so I can get the shape i want" which is exactly what the last nail salon who "did my nails" told me when they messed them up 3 weeks ago, and I would also have to pay again. read more

Let me first say that this was a very clean place with one of the best selections of nail polish colors and the staff was very nice...... That's about all the nice things I can say. I walked in a little before 7 on a Saturday. They do close at 8, but I was just looking for a pedi. The pedi I picked was the sugar scrub, claiming that it was about a 30 min. Well no sooner than maybe 20 mins later I was all done. Not to mention the man who did my pedi, although he was very nice, about filed off my toenails. My toenails were filed straight across with sharp edges on each toe. He also had no talent for shaping or cuticle cutting, which was really disappointing. He probably couldn't paint either as he had another lady do them. I couldn't pay before they were turning out all the lights in the joint and it wasn't even 7:20..... They did charge me for one below the sugar scrub....I guess they felt bad that they were rushing me... Still won't be back. read more

I got a gel manicure at Pro Nails last Sunday. Everyone was extremely nice and friendly. I really liked the girl that did my nails. Unfortunately my nails began to chip on Wednesday. My two daughters went in there on Saturday to get their nails and toes done for prom. They specifically asked how old they were so they could take it vantage of how much they charged them. This is not the first time it is happened and I have told them to never go back. They charged $80 for a set of nails and $30 to paint my daughters toenails no pedicure included $30. My other daughter did not like her nails and said something to the people about it oh and they did nothing about it and charged her $65 for a basic set of nails.This place is ridiculous Don't do business with these unfair people. read more

I am relatively new to the whole getting your nails done on a regular basis thing but i have been to quite a few places in goldsboro and this one is my favorite so far. The people are friendly, engaging, and really listen to what you want. not to mention their facility is really nice and you can tell they take care of it. They just recently opened in february, i think is what they said so there's hardly a wait either. i used to go here every time i wanted to get my nails done but after a while i started to realize they are not a good salon. i go in there to get a full set and my nails start to lift after a WEEK! they don't cut my cuticles and they use old drill bits....talk about gross! I would ask for a specific tech and they would blow me off. one time i hated my nails walking out of there and i told the nail tech i didn't like them and he said there was nothing he could do about it. i'm not cheap when it comes to my nails and i'm a great tipper. it's really disappointing because i used to love this salon but the unprofessional workers in there i just couldn't bring myself to make an appointment. I was cheated out of my money and over charged. when calling to ask the manager if he could fix and make my nails right he said all he could do was give me a 20% discount for next visit I explain there will be no next visit with me due to the customer service, quality or care and all that i will not be returning back. He said okay but the service was already done so there is nothing that he can do at this time to fix my problem. Charged me $71 for my nails and $58 for my feet and she didnt even use the scrub thing on my feet just the brush. My feet looks like it was never done and my nails look stupid ass hell with different size nails and all. I will never go back and I hope they loose business. Great place with great service. I loved their deluxe pedicure! The place looks very clean and the ceiling is beautiful. Everyone was very professional and I got in and was helped right away. I definitely will be coming back here every time. Only issue I would say is to change the name of the place on Yelp as the sign out front says 'Pro Nails' and not 'Comely'.
