Went here with my wife and granddaughter. My first pedicure so I don't really have a point of reference but I thought they did a great job. My wife says she really enjoyed it and she has had many. They were all very nice and accommodating. We had our 3 yr old granddaughter who sat in my wife's lap. They offered to paint her nails as well and she happily agreed. I moved here 1 year ago and tried different nail places. I went to eat at the Mimmos pizza (great pizza btw, see my review on them) next door a few times and always wanted to try this nail place. I'm going to keep it simple. 1-Clean 2-Friendly staff 3-Wonderful work what I appreciated the most was that they didn't try to sell me a bunch of extras like other nail places do. I got my eyebrows done and a gel manicure with "cat eye" the nail tech was super nice and did an awesome job. Will definitely be going back for a pedi. read more

My friend had gone here for her nails, so I wanted to give it a try! Nanci booked an appointment for us on Sunday, when typically they are closed. That showed me she truly cares about the customer and was willing to accommodate us for a pedicure. Her salon is lovely and the service was excellent. She did a terrific job on me and my sister's designs. I had a bad experience at Panache (on Wayne Memorial), so I was def in the market for a new nail salon and this place lived up to my expectations and then some. Nanci is a sweetheart and I was able to talk to her throughout the entire pedicure. To me, that is important. I've been coming to the village since I was 14 I am now 18. My mom comes every three weeks for a fill in but with me being athletic I only come in on off seasons and or prom time. It is VERY quiet I love that about the village no noises from cars or loud Goldsboro. It is in a very nice area so need to worry about any of that sorts. They are very sweet and understanding. They are quiet to start off with but try to make conversation if you're new you just have to get to know them. Since me and my mom go often they know us by our names. They try to get to know their customers. My nails are very short being sports and I bite them. But Naci works WONDERS!!! Bring in ANY picture and they will hit the nail on the head! I love the Village and definitely recommend!!! read more

LOVED this place, very hidden but I found it through yelp and it lived up to the reviews. First time I get my nails done EXACTLY like I wanted and like the picture I showed. This place is quaint. Everyone is really nice. I received a shellac manicure with OPI paint. I like that they don't use the dremel tool on your nails when removing shellac. This process does take longer. My shellac nails stayed nice about 2 weeks. After the 13 day or so the bases started to lift. read more

I have been here twice now for two different services- a full gel set and now a pedicure. The pedicure was great, but my gel set was not very good. I'm nervous to get my nails done again, but it is a really nice salon, which is what brought me back. The nail technicians are really nice as well. I only went to this place because of the great reviews. My nails look fine but, I didn't have the best experience. I walked in and NO ONE said anything to me. I almost walked out but decided to sit and see how long it would take. After all, I wasn't in a rush. It took 30 minutes for someone to ask me what I was there for. I told her that I just needed a fill and that I didn't have an appointment. I talked to the woman next to me and she was there for 30 minutes before I got there and she was there for a pedicure. A few minutes later, she was placed in the pedicure chair. I thought they would get started right away. No one started on her pedicure for about 20 minutes. In the mean time, someone else sat down that wanted a full set and another woman came in that had an appointment for a fill and she was also helped. I sat for over an hour before I was sat down in a seat. I figured...everyone is taking their time so my nails are sure to come out amazing. The 2 women that sat down before me had been sitting for about 30 minutes before I sat down. The woman that worked on my nails finished in about 20 minutes. I didn't understand how she was just about done with everything except the polish and the other 2 women were still sitting down. She rushed it. I think that she realized that she rushed so she tried to make up for it. It literally took this woman 40 minutes to paint my nails. She would paint one nail and have me put it under the UV light. Then another and so on. She did this with BOTH coats and with the top coat. My nails look fine. Nothing that another nail salon couldn't do. If you decide to go here, make an appointment. They only have 3 nail techs. I'm unsure if I will go back. read more
