I said, well, yes, that's why I came in. What happened over the next ten minutes was me trying to get this Void to respond to questions, possibly even make a suggestion, or even a grunt, or belch, or fart, or something. I spent $17 on two pretty useless single hitters and a half-full butane lighter he couldn't figure out how to actually, you know, fill. Yes, I could have walked out and spent nothing but I was trying to establish a new relationship and possibly even enjoy the experience but now I'm just striking this place off the list. Not long after they started offering their "premium in house lines" (it was never explained why they were premium, just that they cost more and had fancier packaging) I noticed a trend of dispassionate and aloof sales people had generally taken over running the place. I used to go out of my way to shop at Buku because they had awesome people and great flavors, but the competition has since upped their quality, and there's no reason to shop here if there are closer alternatives with better service and the same quality.
