Being 28 years old I have been to countless weddings over the past few years and the primary thing I took away from all of them was that I wanted my guests to be entertained. Yes our wedding was of course for us, but the party and celebration is for the guests. I have traveled to out of town weddings, spent money on gas, hotel rooms, and presents, only to get to the reception and be bored out of my mind wishing I would have just mailed the couple a check. My now-husband and I were willing to put a good portion of our budget towards a DJ who was going to keep our guests entertained and that's exactly what we got. My 80-year-old grandparents were dancing until 11pm!! I think the best part of my night was seeing how happy my parents were and watching them dance together until the end. It was beautiful. I was thrilled that everything flowed so smoothly. I had several people tell me that they absolutely loved the music and one asked for the play list of our music because they liked it so much. I was grateful that Sam took the time to give us a heads up of when the next event was happening and to help our bridal party be organized to do the entrance song. Working with Sam made the planning of the reception easier than I expected because all the details were covered with minimal communication (planning from the west coast meant I was two hours behind)so I didn't have to stress that my ideas weren't being brought to life. Selecting a DJ is not an easy task. To be honest, your DJ will make or break your reception. It's a large amount of money. Cost didn't bother me as long as the product was good. After looking at the website and videos of ACTUAL DJ's and ACTUAL Receptions.... I knew I had found the perfect company. All 4 wedding awards? BOOM!!! Who's does that? ProSound! Parker Jewell was the DJ for our wedding & reception and literally the only one I would hire in the future as he went above and beyond to keep things interesting for our guests and was very accommodating with our locations and requests, as well as very professional. His work tops all of our experiences at weddings and events in the past where the dance floor dies around 10:00pm. Parker won't let that happen! The DJ was phenomenal. He managed to create a wonderful balance of music to interactive behavior. What I mean by that is he didn't over do it on the microphone, instead he was very friendly, directive, and created a fun atmosphere in doing so. Our DJ Mary Hall was amazing! When we met with her she made sure she understood everything we wanted for our wedding and gave recommendations when we weren't sure what we wanted. During the reception she checked in with us to make sure everything was going the way we wanted and if there was anything more she could do. We loved that she did activities that involved the kids.
