Chris and his partner gathered the materials and, although he got the system functioning enough to provide heat, they were there in 3 days. It took a whole day, but they worked hard all day and were very thorough. I appreciated how concerned Chris was with keeping the work area tidy, and he did a great job cleaning everything up when he was done. Everything is working tiptop, and I am happy with the warranties they provided. All in all a great job!

Horrifying is the only word that comes to mind. We had Comfort Air Cooling and Heating LLC come back to checkout an HVAC unit they installed a few years ago because the heat stopped working. The owner of the company (Mitchell M.) showed up to our house (the same person who installed the unit a couple year prior)... First words out of his mouth were that he didn't know how to work on furnaces. Yep, that's right, they apparently installed a system in my house that they didn't know how to work on--scary! He then proceeded to ask to borrow my tools and then began hammering on our natural gas valve (like a frustrated child). And when I expressed safety concerns, he argued with me that natural gas was not poisonous to humans. My entire family was witness to this. Long story short, he left in a temper tantrum when we refused to allow him to continue hammering on our natural gas valve (there are mar marks all over the valve and pipes where he did damage). Thankfully, we found a licensed qualified HVAC shop with great reviews to swing by. They literally identified and fixed the issue in less than 45 minutes. The HVAC shop that had to fix our system could not believe what we went through with Comfort Air Cooling and Heating LLC. I'm absolutely astounded these guys are licensed. Unless you want your house burnt down or your family not waking up in the morning due to a gas leak from incompetent professionals, DO NOT HIRE these guys.

I found the paperwork on the system and noted it was installed by Comfort Air and gave them a call as soon as they opened. I told them the AC was out and the thermostat was reading blank. They immediately sent a service tech over, and he had the problem diagnosed, serviced, and had the system up cooling my house again within 30 minutes. Then Dean gave me some training to ensure I did not have the same issue again, plus some tips on how to get the best results from heating and cooling systems here on the Gulf coast. I can not adequately express the gratitude I have for this company and their customer service. Finally , I have to note that the equipment was still under warranty, but the labor warranty had expired. Regardless of this expiration, the service fee and labor costs were all waived. This is beyond fair, and companies like this are another reason I am happy I returned to NW Florida as my permanent residence.

Rather disappointed with our most recent interaction…read more I will start by saying we've done business with Jordan Air for over ten years, due to knowing them through the school our children attended - nice folks. When we replaced our a/c and gas furnace five years ago, we bought the replacement through Jordan Air because they were competitive in pricing. Now, for a sad turn of events. Our A/C went out on a Friday evening in late August. My wife called and a technician (Jake) was dispatched quickly to diagnose the problem. The technician was professional and did a great job explaining what was going on (faulty controller on the outdoor unit). So, on Friday night we were quoted $300 to replace the controller board under warranty by a very professional young man. When I called the office and spoke to Brian on Monday morning for a breakdown on the costs involved ($300 seems a bit steep for warranty work - the job takes less than 30 minutes with post install testing), he asked if he could call me back "as soon as his computer booted up." An hour and a half later, I called back and he told me "they (unspecified party) would call me back as soon as they were finished with their current call." What a surprise! I should have known this would happen as Brian passed the buck to someone else the last time I had to speak with him a few years ago regarding a float valve on the condenser drain. Fortunately, someone did call back quickly, but could not provide anything other than, "it costs $300". The board was ordered on Monday and arrived on Thursday. The technician made the replacement (30 minutes, as expected) and told us the high pressure switch was failing and that it was what had caused the board to fail. Another quote for $300 for warranty replacement work (I sensed a theme) and possibly another 4 day wait (it was the Thursday before Labor Day weekend). Both my wife and I let Jake know that he had done a great job, but that we were miffed at possibly running our A/C in August with no high pressure lock out. I told him to send the estimate, but not to execute as I was going to call around to get competitive quotes. Magically, they located a switch locally within 30 minutes of the conversation, Jake was able to make the replacement the same day and Jordan knocked $115 off the price on the estimate, so the 45 minutes required to replace the switch and test everything only cost us $185 (warranty work, so no cost for the $51 switch translates to a rather pricey labor rate!). For replacement of two parts under warranty and a six day wait, we paid almost $500, plus $150 for the initial Friday after hours service call. We have exclusively used Jordan for a very long time (over 10 years) and have been very satisfied. I called around after the Friday debacle and learned another respected local firm charges less than 2/3 what Jordan charges for the same services. We couldn't do anything about it at the time - no A/C in Florida in August requires immediate resolution. Jordan is sharp, technically which is nice, as this is a small town. But they are pricing themselves out of the market. I wish them well but will think twice before calling them again.

My HVAC system cost me over $6k with Jordan and is not even 10 months old...the outside unit will not kick in at all. I had the service agreement with Jordan so I didn't pay extra for after hours or weekend calls. The new company doesn't honor that. It would cost me $200 just to get them out here...and..again, they're not honoring any of Jordan's work... such a disappointment. They should have at least sent something to their existing customers to let us know.
