Let me be the first to reality check this ridiculous place. The parents should be aware that not only is it soon to be sold, but the turnover that "all daycares experience" and "training new teachers" seems to happen nearly on a monthly basis here. I won't name names (the owners know who they are), It's like any other failing company: It begins from the top down. Take a good hard look beyond the facade and a couple positive reviews on this platform. Do you really trust three or four reviews in several years for your child anyway? You may like what you see on the surface but likely because there is a significant lack of decent programs in this area. Older children may not be as affected but the 1-3 age group is undeniably neglected. The "owner" who seems to carry this flag in some altruistic manner is not only rude, but a complete flop. Never present in almost a year we have only met upper management twice. If there was ever an issue to discuss, good luck addressing it. Yes. These facilities are for sale and probably will be sold to a different management group for the same reason they couldn't keep staff there. We quickly began to feel uncomfortable leaving our child here. I care VERY little of a company's "difficulties", especially if it is to keep staff employed. Staffing isn't staffing when it comes to the well being of your child. To them this means employees. To you this means leaving your child with a stranger. If this is in the 1-3 age group who can't speak for themselves I take this very seriously. A stranger to you, and a stranger to your child. This happened all too often. Most of the permanent teachers are decent, who just so happened to call in sick more often than not. Likely because of a lack of resources and poor management. Personally, I don't give a ---- about excuses, Especially when it comes to my children. At this age group, when I leave my child in the care of someone else, I expect them to be taken care of by the same people each and every day, or at least individuals they know so that they (and we) feel safe and comfortable. This is why we're no longer there. It is your child that stays here, not you. We experienced teachers (subs) who not only left us feeling uncomfortable, but were downright reportable. Never under any circumstances should a day care operate in the manner that they have. Particularly worse than that, the management staff (if you can find them) is not capable of managing this. If any staff remains by the time they finish treating everyone like garbage, your child won't see yet another stranger. As a customer you are a number and god willing you will get help that you may seek with the buyout. Good luck to them in the future, though I don't really mean that. If good intentions are what they seek, they wouldn't have neglected their business, especially a business where the well being of our sons and daughters are at stake. While I did not like the school for my 3 year old who is now 4, I am so happy that my 3 month old is here. It is so hard to leave your baby all day while you head to work, but the teachers in the infant room are so loving to all the babies that it has made it much easier on me. He smiles when he hears them and the other babies and it makes me so happy to know that he is somewhere safe and well cared for all day. They are usually at capacity though, so if you are interested in this daycare, you better get on the list as soon as you find out your pregnant. You won't regret it though. Communication is "to bite", because they can't use their words....and it happens in a split second! At the time we were training a teacher - and we had training staff working beside that teacher. This school has gone above and beyond to help my nephew. When he first started at Prodigy he had significant behavioral issues. We were concerned that he would continue to act out. Prodigy truly helped him grow as a little person over the last year (+). My nephew has learned to interact with other kids and has done a much better job of handling emotions using his words versus acting out. The staff are very attentive and have always taken time to listen to any concerns we have. I would absolutely recommend this daycare to anyone and everyone. read more

Prodigy Learning Center When parents are looking at a daycare they become picky. Safety, cleanliness, and atmosphere are the three things people notice first in a day care. Prodigy Learning Center is a pre-school/daycare located in New Braunfels, Texas. Prodigy is a 'four-star' preschool and I would agree with that, it is clean, has educated employees, and a joyful but safe atmosphere. Cleanliness and tidy is the first thing needed at a daycare, Prodigy has this. When I walked into the classrooms I noticed everything is in its place. All the toys in the classrooms are put away according to their category, and also they are wiped down and cleaned each day. The floors are swept after each meal and the tables are also wiped down three times daily with soapy water, bleach, and than regular water. When the carpets get dirty, they are vacuumed and shampooed. The restrooms are also cleaned and swept daily. Also, not only is the facility clean the kid's noses, hands, and faces are constantly being wiped too. Only the fully educated and "highly qualified" teachers work at Prodigy Learning Center. The teachers are required to take a CPR class once a year. Prodigy has a list in the back office stating when each teacher is required to take another CPR class to obtain their job at Prodigy Learning Center. Teachers must have twenty-four hours of training each year. Every teacher at Prodigy is required to have at least twenty four hours of training. Whether it be packets they read and answer questions, or classes they attend at different daycare's. Prodigy makes sure you can trust the ladies you leave your children with. Prodigy always provides the children with a joyful, but safe atmosphere. For example, on the playgrounds there are zones where the teachers must stand so she can see all of the children. The teachers are also required to interact with the children while playing outside. There are two different playgrounds for appropriate age groups. There is a smaller gated off playground for the infants and toddlers, than a bigger playground for the older kids. Prodigy is one of the best daycare services you will find in New Braunfels, Texas. Cleanliness, the best teachers, and a safe environment are the most important things in a daycare. Doesn't every parent want to know their child is safe while at a daycare away from them? read more

This place is HORRIBLE. My 13 mo old was only in there for about a total of 3 weeks. She had 6 BITES in the matter of that time. Her 5th bite broke the skin and when I received the report they said nothing about cleaning the wound. I was livid. Trust me I know kids bite at this age but this was an issue in supervision. We had talks over and over with the directors and still nothing. A kid jumped her from behind, through her to the ground and bit her on the shoulder that broke the skin...COME ON..The worst part about the whole thing is there was more than one biter in the class. Oh and our FIRST DAY there was just awful. No teacher introduced them selves.They just grabbed my child and put her on the floor that 1st morning. This is a transition period and they had no clue on what they were doing. When I picked her up that same day not only did I peak in the window to see my daughter crying at the foot of a teacher who just looked down at her and kept talking to other teacher in the room. Well she was crying because her diaper was full of poop. Everyday I picked up and dropped her off she cried. I've been at our new daycare for 2 weeks now and NOT once has she cried. She is the happiest child,and I saw a huge change when she attended this daycare. The class was so not structured. Their daily sheets were never filled out. So I had no clue on how her day was or how she slept or ate. This place is a joke. The day we up and left I spoke to the director and we talked about the owner calling me. I thought maybe an apology from them would have been nice, but I got no call from the owner. We are in a much happier place but I really would like to encourage someone to look else where. I couldn't say enough great things about this school! They are the best! My 3 year old son has been going here since January 2016 and they have been so great with him. They help with potty training, the kids are constantly learning, singing and playing. I don't think of this daycare as a "daycare". My son has learned so much, we consider this a preschool for him. The kids aren't just playing. My son has learned to count to 20, learned his ABC's, sings songs etc. They staff is great. Mrs. Melissa, the director, is always hands on and willing to answer any question we have. I totally recommend this school! read more
