I donated the piano for the cost of moving and discovered NGP when they offered to take it. I'd never heard of them and learned they had a huge showroom of used pianos of all sizes as well as other things like grandfather clocks, dollhouses, etc. The owner Dave and his assistants Brendan and John were so helpful, informed, careful and talented! They played different pianos for me to hear and I ended up getting one of their many beautiful uprights. Along with delivery and set up they tuned the piano before they left. It was a snowy winter day and their communication was great. The piano was picked up and delivered to our home timely. I was a bit concerned because we have hardwood floors however the piano was moved and setup without incident. All questions and concerns were addressed throughout the process. After moving the piano it was tuned and sounded great! If we need future piano services we will certainly do business again with Northampton Gallery of Pianos.

Rude and unprofessional experience - treated with disrespect for asking basic questions…read more I came into this store genuinely interested in buying a sterling silver cross pendant priced at $380. As a serious buyer, I asked the owner, David, if he could please weigh the piece so I could better understand its value. He immediately got defensive and snapped, "We don't sell by the weight." I calmly explained that I wasn't asking him to price it by weight--I just wanted the information to compare market values. He reluctantly weighed it and it turned out to be only 9 grams, which is light for a pendant at that price, especially considering it was made by an unknown maker and used cubic zirconia. When I pointed out that it seemed overpriced, David accused me of wasting his time--even though I was clearly asking respectful, informed questions about a potential purchase. I left the store feeling completely disrespected. His aggressive tone and dismissive behavior made me wonder if I was being judged based on my age or background. No customer deserves to be treated like that just for doing their due diligence. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone looking for fair service or transparency.
