He took some measurements and then texted me later with an estimate. I was ok with the estimate, told him there was no rush on the work ... never heard from him again. He was nice and personable - I liked talking to him. I guess maybe he didn't need the work. Still need the steps done and now have some other small projects that I gotta find someone else to take care of.

The two issues right there should have tipped us off that his work was subpar. Once was enough. Find another handyman.

Several other electrical companies charged over $100 just to come out and do an estimate before even doing any work - I found this to be ridiculous and decided to go with "James Morrow Electrician and Handyman." I can tell you right away that I made a solid decision as that Jim did a great job from the gecko! He was very responsive, professional and explained everything he is going to do over the phone so that I felt comfortable with choosing him as a professional. When he arrived, he was very respectful to the property. He did not mind me watching him install the electrical outlets in my home and explain how the whole system works. Jim did a fantastic job of eliminating one of my existing electrical outlets and moving it up. He also installed a new GFI outlet in my bathroom so that I can hook up my beloved Japan-style bidet toilet. Overall Jim is very knowledgeable and experienced in his electrical work, as well as very meticulous in little details.
