Elizabeth in great. I'm a local firefighter and had her tailor my Class As (dress uniform) and I recommend her to everyone in my department. After she did such a great job and I saw how much care she takes, I started going back to her for everything. She's a little pricier than men's warehouse or wherever but worth the money. She does great, always take time and asks your opinion and expresses her. This is the perfect example of where paying a little more for small shop service is worth it. If you're going to put any effort and money into getting your uniform or clothing tailored you may as well do it right. read more

BEWARE!! I took my long bridesmaids dress here, and it's a wrap dress so all that needed to be done was hemmed and the shoulder straps to be shortened a bit. While I was there I asked for a quote, or even just a roundabout number to expect and she said she wouldn't know until she's finished but that she "charges reasonably." Well she just left me a voicemail saying she's done and the total is $100.62!!?!?? I asked the other bridesmaids what the paid for alterations, and they paid $30-$50 AND that was them having it hemmed AND the bodice taken in, which is obviously much more labor intensive. My alterations should have been much cheaper than that. When I called to say that I thought that was unreasonable, she told me I should have asked her first, and I told her I did ask her for a quote first but that she didn't give me one saying she wouldn't know. And that if I had known she was going to charge me $100, I wouldn't have left my dress there. She didn't care. I'm so upset right now; I already had to pay $300+ for this bridesmaids dress, now I'm being duped into paying $100 for SIMPLE alterations because she refused to give me a quote when I asked. What the heck?!? UPDATE: I called her again saying my bridesmaids paid $30-50 for hemming AND the bodice taken in, which is much more work than she did on my dress, and that I thought $100 was unreasonable. She said (more than once): well then you should have taken your dress to those places. I said (over and over): had I known you were going to charge me $100, I would have! And (again) emphasized that I had asked for a quote before and wasn't even given a price range, so that I feel blindsided. She said she charged $20 to shortening the straps, and for the hemming, she charges by the square yard, so I guess since the dress was very long and had to be hemmed quite a bit (Beware short people!) she charged $80 for this dress to be hemmed. That pricing mechanism doesn't make sense to me, but with such a pricing mechanism: she had a good idea of how much she was hemming when I was there trying it on, so she could have given me a general price range when I asked for it. After arguing for about 9 minutes about "why I didn't take my dress to someone else" with more reasonable prices, she asked if I wasn't paying (uh, I paid $320 for this dress and the wedding is in 2 weeks -- of course I'm not just leaving it! she said the price of the dress doesn't matter to her), and I responded that I just don't feel that $100 is reasonable for the work that was done to it. She asked me what I thought was reasonable and I said that since my bridesmaids paid $30-50 (to have more done to their dresses), I would have expected to pay around that. She basically laughed at that and said she will "give me $20 off" and that's it. So now my options are to pay $80 or to leave my expensive bridesmaids dress there and be SOL for my friend's wedding in 2 weeks. I know I will never take anything here again. read more

Very unprofessional!!! I took my daughter's vest that needed three patches to be added. I gave them a book that way they could see exactly how they needed to look. When I arrived to pick two of the patches looked good. But the third one was not correct. It was in a shape of a shield. It was clearly angled!!. I told them it did not look straight, but they said it's like the book. I stated that in my opinion it wasn't straight. I asked her when i bring my daughter to try on and if it is not straight once she's wearing it if they could fix cause in my opinion it didn't look okay. As I was talking to the lady her husband told her something and then walked out. Once he walked out. The lady owner said "no you can not bring daughter to try on. As a matter of fact you know what I don't need your business. As she started to remove the patches. She removed the crooked one and then started on the next one. She ended up removing two of them, but she was so angry and she was screaming that she could not remove tgd last one. I asked her what are you doing? And she said "I dont need you to come back". I told her the others are okay. Why are you doing that? I told her your the expert, I know nothing about this. If my daughter comes tries it on and it looks straight then it's okay. By that point she started screaming at me telling me to pay and leave. I told her why should I pay for something that you took apart after. She said "screaming you tell me I don't know my job". I told her why are you getting upset and screaming at me?. Then a man walks in to pick up his uniform. And she went from this mean ugly witch to as sweet old lady. I told her really now your going to talk like your sooo sweet?!. You were just screaming and telling me I dont know my job. After the man left she said you know what take this and never come back.
