This used to be a favorite place until management changed. It is no longer a female but a male and he is very pricey and made my son's pants two different lengths! I was referred to Noel Alterations and so glad I was. They were actually able to transform a formal dress into a formal skirt, at my request. Then, they altered a formal top that was 6 sizes too large for me. Everything is absolutely stunning and perfect. These folks are amazing. You want them as your friends. Finding someone to do alterations on your clothing, especially if it's for a special event or your wedding, can be very nerve racking. But trust me, you will not regret using Serena. My entire experience with her was exceptional. She was not only very sweet and patient with all of my requests, but is very good at what she does. The wedding dress I bought was originally many sizes too large, way too long, and very very detailed with many beads. She was able to make it all fit and not destroy the detail work, made straps out of extra material from the dress, and made a bustle to hold up my very heavy train. She worked around my schedule and was fast and diligent. I will be using her in the future and I hope you do too! And of course, reasonable pricing! My cat tore a hole in my brand new duvet cover the first time I put it on the bed. And it was a big hole and a $220 duvet! I agonized over what to do, and so I took it here for them to patch it. They did this promptly, the price was fair and the results were very good. I will need to put it patch side down, but I can use it and not worry about the hole getting bigger. I will try them next time I need clothes altered too. read more

I had 2 dresses altered at this business for our son's wedding. One dress was shortened and was satisfactory, for this I gave 2 stars. The second dress however was not as expected. The bodice of my daughter's bridesmaid dress was taken in very nicely, but the length was not. She had 2 fittings and had the shoes she was to wear. The dress had 3 layers so it was quite costly to shorten. The problem was the inside layers were too long resulting in her stepping on it as she walked. At the price I paid, I didn't expect that we would have to pin up the layers at the last minute to avoid a fall. The biggest problem here is the owner refused to acknowledge there was a problem, or offer an adjustment of the $157 we paid for the work or even apologize. read more
