It was completely demoralizing and within 2 weeks of the immediate surgery I was referred to Ivy in Whippany by my surgeon's office. It did not take me long to build in Confidence with the entire staff. That includes all of the Therapists, support staff and Carla who handles admin from many angles. There process is very consistent and yet every therapist has their own style and approach. At first I had Justin as my primary therapist, but he was in the process of being transferred to a different location. My initial reaction was to follow him. However, after of couple of sessions with Bella, I decided to stay on at Ivy Whippany. Soon it did not matter which therapist I had for an appointment. Every exercise was diligently documented at each session and there was never a gap from session to session. In addition, getting a mix of appts with Bella, Michelle and Namrata allowed for a variety of style, tips and tweaks that made the sessions and outside motivation even higher. In addition, the energy level stays high at every session. Their attention to detail, skill and knowledge was extremely impressive. I have had the need to come here on various occasions (lower back, foot problems) and every time I've been here I've had nothing but exceptional service. From the warm greeting of the entire front desk staff, to the kindness and assistance provided by all the Physical Therapy Aides, to the care and expertise of the Physical Therapists themselves. I especially want to acknowledge the gentile bed side manners of Lucinda Quesada (PT Aide). She always welcomes me with a warm smile and an even warmer goodbye. She is meticulous and takes her time to explain clearly the specific exercises that are required as part of my plan of care. I also want to acknowledge two of the therapists, Christopher Jones and Payam Zarrinpour., both are exceptional. They are patient, knowledgeable, and truly take the time to understand my needs and concerns. They have a wide depth and breath of knowledge in physiology and human anatomy. But more importantly, I sincerely appreciate their sense of humor. Not only do their treatments make me feel better but their personality brings out a healthy hearty laugh in me every time. Sure there are many other PT centers. Some much larger, better equipped, and providing a huge suite of services . I know because I have been to some of them too. But IMHO what makes ActiveCare stand out among the rest is their genuine desire and focus to heal you in an environment that is not clinical but rather very family like. I chose Active Care as I had previously used them many years ago for a back issue. My physical therapist was Payam Zarrinpour. Well he worked wonders ! I had two separate rounds of therapy and exercise and it cured my frozen shoulder. Today I was diagnosed with torn MCL in my left knee again my doctor prescribed PT. I went right back to active care to seek Payam's help! I'm sure in a month I'll be back to my old self skiing away!

Dr. Curtis is the best out there. He is the most kindest doctor I have ever met. He truly cares and I can't say that anymore about any doctor I have seen. He is thorough. He takes his time to check everything, sending me for tests before he just randomly diagnoses me. In 10 years he has NEVER ever said, sorry, can't help. He has helped me through a lot of pain and agony I can't say enough about Dr. Curtis or his wonderful staff. I prefer him to my regular internist who, I will only see only if I have too. If I have the cold, flu, sore throat, etc. If you want the best, go see Dr. Curtis and his team, you won't be sorry.

Jim has always demonstrated the utmost professionalism and concern for my aches and pains. I have followed him at different locations and the care has always been consistent. He gives all his patients his attention and provides the best personalized therapy. The office space is light, airy and spacious making it a great place to excercise and heal. In december of 2025, at the age of 72, I had a complete knee replacement. After 3 months of therapy with Jim, I was bending my knee and walking again.
