Excellent store, friendly owner. A family favorite tennis shop for many years now. Stop in, you won't regret it.

As a frequent visitor to the DTW suburbs and avid pickle baller (~4.0), PickleRage provides a…read morewonderful experience in a comfortable facility with friendly staff and fun people. Open plays are capped which ensures good pace of play, courts are segmented by skill level and there isn't too much in the way of people playing out of their depth. Air conditioning has held up during a recent heatwave of 90 degrees plus, and courts are always in good condition. For $7/hour, I get to run around, scratch the pickleball itch, and chat with nice people which is exactly what I'm looking for. If I lived here full time, this would likely be my home court, but as a visitor who can pay as they go, this arrangement is perfect. All that's missing is proper fences between courts to keep balls contained and a little more room around the court to field lobs and ATPs, but that's just the idiosyncratic nature of the facility. I look forward to playing here whenever in the area! 5/5

We happened upon this brand new beautiful PickleRage facility last month when we were in town…read more.. We wanted to get some energy out and played for a couple of hours. It wasn't busy at all, so hopefully the word gets out for open play purposes soon, but our party of four had some solid points / games / matches together. We also utilized the restroom / locker room / beverage machine. Everything was pristine and beautiful. This facility served our purpose well and was an affordable indoor activity for all ages. We will be back!

The…read morecourts themselves are nice, and there's plenty of parking, which makes coming and going easy. I also appreciate the way level play is organized; it's clear a lot of thought has gone into the logistics. That said, as the facility has grown, it's lost some of the welcoming, community vibe that made the old spot special. It feels a lot more impersonal now, and that's a real loss for those of us who valued that sense of connection. A few areas could use some attention: Courts: While the new surface is much more forgiving on the body, there's a quirky issue with little strings popping up through the courts. We've started calling it the "Wolverine bounce" because the ball can take some pretty unpredictable hops when it hits those spots. It's not a dealbreaker, but it does make play less consistent than you'd expect from such a nice facility. Bathrooms: It's surprising (and honestly frustrating) that there are no paper towels - just hand dryers. Not only are they loud, but after playing (especially in summer), I really need something more than a blast of air to freshen up. For a facility at this price point, paper towels seem like a basic amenity. Staff & Customer Service: Staff interactions are hit or miss. I've had a few experiences where the front desk didn't seem knowledgeable about round robin play or how to resolve issues with the beer wall wristbands (which, by the way, often don't work correctly). Friendly greetings and a little more attentiveness would go a long way, especially given the cost. Beer Wall: The self-serve beer wall is a cool idea, but it doesn't always deliver. If your drink is flat or mostly foam, there's not much recourse - and prices are on par with full-service bars. It's a bit disappointing to pay premium prices for a DIY experience that doesn't always meet expectations. Communication: There's room for improvement when it comes to keeping members informed, especially about fee increases or incidents like theft in the parking lot. Updates sometimes get buried in the app, and I'd appreciate more transparency and direct communication. Management: A little more warmth and professionalism would really help set a positive tone for the whole facility. Overall, the facility itself is great, and the organized play is some of the best in the area. But for me, the lack of personal touch and some ongoing service issues make it hard to justify the premium price.

We sat outside on the patio, every other guest was greeted, interacted with, and served with silverware etc. (even guests who came 30 minutes after). We ordered the black bean burger which automatically comes with avocado-- and the smash burger which we added lettuce and tomato. Both burgers were missing those toppings, no big deal we walked in and asked for it on the side as replacement. The cook was incredibly rude and insisted we did not have it on the ticket even though it was clearly on my receipt. Alongside a snarky comment from the bartender about making sure a topping was actually ordered that automatically comes anyway. To put this further in perspective, we were the only POC in the vicinity-- so it was pretty clear that the staff creates a very prejudice environment. The food was decent, it was very disappointing to experience all the extras.

Parking is always plentiful and easy, which immediately makes the experience stress free. The hours work perfectly for my schedule, especially since I usually go in the morning to early afternoon. There is so much to do here. I have not taken any of the classes yet, but I love knowing they are available and plan to explore them eventually. One of my favorite features is the indoor track. I am also really looking forward to the indoor pool reopening and am excited about the addition of saunas. Saunas are such an important part of overall health and recovery, so that will be a great upgrade. Cleanliness really stands out here. The locker rooms, bathrooms, equipment, and common areas are consistently well maintained. I regularly see staff cleaning throughout the facility, which makes a big difference. The people here are genuinely kind and welcoming. Will, William, in particular, is wonderful. He is always friendly, personable, and remembers me and my family. I also notice how engaged he is with other members, which adds to the sense of community. There is a nice balance of ages here. You do occasionally see younger children, usually elementary age, participating in day or after school programs near the basketball courts, but it never feels overwhelming. I also love that they offer pickleball and a variety of other activities, which makes the space feel inclusive and active for everyone. Overall, this is a clean, well run facility with a strong community feel. I truly enjoy coming here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and well maintained rec center and gym.

The water aerobics classes were a lot of fun. They also offer Zumba, basketball, and ping pong. The ping pong table is also in a weird spot, right in front of the ladies locker room. It feels a little weird opening the door to walk in with a bunch of guys playing ping pong. They were always nice but it just seems a little odd. The showers and locker rooms were always clean. They even had a cool swimsuit drying machine, so you don't have to put a wet suit back into bags. Overall, inexpensive and provides a lot of options for getting exercise
