I'm so glad I found Cesar! We bought an old house and had a lot of work done - scraped off popcorn ceiling, repiped so there were lots of holes in the ceilings and walls, raised a sunken floor, removed tile flooring and carpeting everywhere. I was looking for a company to patch the walls and finish the ceilings. After getting quotes from multiple companies, not only was Cesar's the most reasonable, his reaction to the amount of work was very positive. Some companies didn't want to take the job because it was too big. I've included some before/after photos of just a few of the areas he worked on, but he basically patched/finished every room in the house. He also built a wall to create a room and built a wall to help convert a wetbar into a pantry. His work is amazing, and afterwards the house started feeling like a home. Cesar is studying to be a general contractor, so he also keeps an eye out for other issues that aren't just dry-wall related and will mention it. For example, he mentioned that the deck built to raise the sunken floor was not completely flat, and that the contractor would have to use a physical level to verify rather than rely on laser level (the contractor verified this to be true and came back to fix it). He also pointed out that with steady use and traffic, some screws were poking out of the transitions my floor company installed. Due to his honesty I ended up hiring Cesar for multiple other jobs other than drywall - he replaced an old pocket door and hardware, fixing the wall after he cut into it and pointing out old water damage in that location. He replaced and painted all the doors, door casings, and baseboards, changed a door to swing outwards instead of in. He reinstalled all the sliding mirror closet doors that were removed because of the abatement. He painted the walls, ceilings, and stair rails. He built and installed IKEA closets behind the sliding mirror doors. Finally, he built the pantry shelves. This man takes pride in his craft. After working with so many other contractors that will do the bare minimum, Cesar goes the extra mile to add the extra touch that makes his projects look great, built-in, and finished. I purchased a 10x8 shed to use as an outdoor kitchen. I contacted Ceasar to drywall the ceiling and 4 walls. After sending him dimensions and photos of the shed he texted me an estimate for the job. We had plumbers come out to repair a leak from our upstairs bathroom. Unfortunately, in order to diagnose the leak, some drywall had to be cut open from our downstairs ceiling. We initially scheduled a person to come and fix our drywall, but that person mysteriously bailed on us on the day they were supposed to come out. Luckily, we found Proficient Drywall on Yelp and decided to give them a shot. Cesar not only responded to our request, but he was very communicative throughout the whole process, from setting up the appointment, giving a quote, drawing up the contract, letting us know when he was going to come out, and then on the job, keeping us up to date on how things were going. Not only was he and his crew able to come on a relatively short notice, but he was able to get the job done within half a day. This included not just patching up the drywall, but also painting and texturing the new drywall patch to match our ceiling. From what I've heard before, a lot of drywall people don't also do painting and texturing, but Cesar does, which is an incredible value, since we wouldn't have to hire yet another person to do another task. We actually had another drywall upstairs that was previously patched by someone but never painted, and when we showed Cesar, he was able to help us out the same day by painting that patched wall as well, which included making a trip to Home Depot to find matching paint. He helped us save money too because our original paint brand would have been more expensive. He offers great suggestions when needed and had our best interests in mind. Cesar was a very friendly and professional person to work with. He turned a frustrating situation for us into a pleasant one.
