I was looking for a company to patch the walls and finish the ceilings. After getting quotes from multiple companies, not only was Cesar's the most reasonable, his reaction to the amount of work was very positive. Some companies didn't want to take the job because it was too big. I've included some before/after photos of just a few of the areas he worked on, but he basically patched/finished every room in the house. He also built a wall to create a room and built a wall to help convert a wetbar into a pantry. His work is amazing, and afterwards the house started feeling like a home. Cesar is studying to be a general contractor, so he also keeps an eye out for other issues that aren't just dry-wall related and will mention it. For example, he mentioned that the deck built to raise the sunken floor was not completely flat, and that the contractor would have to use a physical level to verify rather than rely on laser level (the contractor verified this to be true and came back to fix it). He also pointed out that with steady use and traffic, some screws were poking out of the transitions my floor company installed. Due to his honesty I ended up hiring Cesar for multiple other jobs other than drywall - he replaced an old pocket door and hardware, fixing the wall after he cut into it and pointing out old water damage in that location. He replaced and painted all the doors, door casings, and baseboards, changed a door to swing outwards instead of in. He reinstalled all the sliding mirror closet doors that were removed because of the abatement. He painted the walls, ceilings, and stair rails. He built and installed IKEA closets behind the sliding mirror doors. Finally, he built the pantry shelves. This man takes pride in his craft. After working with so many other contractors that will do the bare minimum, Cesar goes the extra mile to add the extra touch that makes his projects look great, built-in, and finished. I trust this man completely and wouldn't hesitate to hire him for future jobs.

Even though in the end we didn't touch the shower, it was mainly because of Ruslan's detailed explanation of what the work would entail.

The scope of work included patching multiple openings, installing four metal access panels (including two in the ceiling), matching texture, and painting to blend everything in. Jorge and his father were professional, on time, easy to communicate with, and clearly experienced in drywall work. They added wood backing for the access panels, took the time to match the existing ceiling texture, and made sure everything was installed cleanly and square. Jorge also returned after the initial work to complete the painting and caulking once everything had properly dried. The final result looks very good overall. The repairs blend well, especially the texture work. The paint isn't a 100% perfect match, but considering the original finish is over 20 years old, that's understandable and still looks good. Pricing was very reasonable for the amount of work involved, especially compared to other estimates I received. HSH had really good reviews, was licensed, competitively priced, and Al's communication and follow up the entire time was excellent! HSH was at a price point that was not the lowest and not the highest either given what needed to be done to the house. After locking in the project, Al was really good following up on the details of the paint, what needed to be done, and the start date. HSH was always early, communicated the entire time to address my needs/concerns, and when i did not like the color we had selected, Al quickly adjusted by returning to the paint store to make sure we were satisfied. I really appreciated him taking my concern seriously and wanted to ensure we were happy. After the project was done there were several areas I brought up to his attention, and he immediately addressed them without an ask. Al's responsiveness to concerns and clients satisfaction is an outlier in today's day and age, and I really appreciated him taking ownership of correcting what was missed.
