We hired Mayo and Francisco to skim coat all walls from an orange peel texture that was in our entire apartment. The place is about 1600 sq ft and took them 2 weeks to do. We didn't rush them, and Mayo appreciated it. They can do better work when they're not rushed and this is good for us as clients. Every morning I would let them in and then come back at the end of the day when they finished. They are even courteous and can text ahead of time when they're wrapping up. They mudded and sanded everything very smooth. Quality work. We were renovating at the same time and needed to redrywall part of the bathroom at the time. Got a few quotes from several companies regarding a roughly 3x3 section of ceiling that had some water damage from a leaky AC Air Handler. Mayo and Francisco responded very promptly with an extremely competitive quote (a fraction of what some of the larger contractors were asking for) and were able to come to my house within 2 days. After only 2 hours, the job was done. They laid down plastic and cleaned up after themselves so thoroughly that (aside from the fixed drywall) it seems like they were never there at all. If you are looking for PERFECTION!!!! you just found it! Mario and Francisco are perfectionist at what they do. I hired back in 2017 for a small repair job i need in a bathroom after a small leak and was so impressed with the finished job I saved their number fast forward to 2024 I had a major flood in my home from solar panels that flooded my house from upstairs to downstairs. When I called them in 2024 I had no idea the process would be with the insurance company and finally I was able to start my rebuilding and they thought I had forgotten about them and honestly I did use someone else that started the project downstairs and what a HUGE mistake that was. So when I called Mario and Francisco it was no judgement on their part for my mistake and they not only fixed and finished all the unfinished work needed downstairs but also completed the work needed upstairs as well. This was a large project as mentioned and they completed all the work in 7 days which included 1200 feet of ceilings and walls. When they finished it looked like my walls were painted and you would only know that they were because of the paint on the walls that were not effected. They were so clean and cleaned up daily before leaving and would take the vacuum home each day to clean it so no dust would be blown into my home from what was vacuumed up. They are such incredibly nice and hard working people. I almost can't wait for the next flood so I can call them immediately!!. These guys were awesome. I really don't write reviews but in this case I just felt compelled to. I am a DIY kind of guy. Don't really trust contractors too much. These guys are 5 star worthy. They completed the mudding and finishing I started. They made the finish look awesome. They did not ask for a penny until they were finished. They were extremely clean. Don't know how you sand drywall and not make dust. They placed plastic down. They took the time they said they would. The price was reasonable. And it takes reasonable for me not to try to do it myself. Usually the prices I get are my motivators to doing the work myself. After they were done, they sat there and asked me to inspect their work so they could fix or repair anything I found. Didn't find anything. Amazing service and work! I spoke to Mario and he and Francisco came out the following day to give me a price- which was a great price! (Water damage on the ceiling from an old roof leak). When I agreed to the price, they scheduled me for Sunday, 7/5/20. The work was rescheduled to Monday, but Mario did call me to ask if it would be ok. This was professional of them. I am so happy with the work of M and F Quality Drywall. My walls were severely damaged by my leaking roof. I never thought they would ever look like they do now. We removed the walls and ceiling for about 60% of our 1500 sq ft older house, and had Mayo and Francisco install and finish the drywall, plus skim coat the remaining walls. The finished product looks great, and they were responsive throughout the process, including quickly addressing any small issues I identified. I knocked off a star because their first day on the job (after an agreed on 1.5 month wait), they said the job was too complex and outside of their ability. However, they had the integrity to not leave us hanging, but instead found people with the right experience for the job, and managed them to ensure the quality of the end product while sticking to their original price and timeline.
