She confirmed the total amount, counted the currency multiple times for both of us to view, and provided the receipts with every detail of the transaction. I'm traveling to Australia and New Zealand next month and inquired with my bank, various Forex, International Currency Exchange, among others. None of those places could match A&S, who were basically giving me the market rate for Australian currency. The rate for New Zealand currency was also very competitive. On top of that, there were absolutely no fees! In addition, most of the other currency exchanges did not have enough of Australian and New Zealand dollars on hand, whereas A&S had plenty. I couldn't make it in time on the day I called for the quote, but came in the next day and the rate remained the same. The A&S place opens at 11AM and the worker arrived on time. They require showing ID and accept cash only. The person behind the window was meticulous with counting out the money. He was also knowledgeable about different methods of payment countries accept. As we continued the transaction, he became more friendly and welcoming, sharing about his experience visiting Australia many years ago. This policy is absurd, as in British currency the smallest note value is £5--there isn't a way to avoid receiving coins when breaking notes for £1 and £2 denominations as bank notes for these values do not exist. This has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've ever had with a business. They took my money, wasted my time, and gave me nothing in return. Update 11/26/2025 I spoke to Charles on 11/10 and he gave me a fedex tracking number and told me I would receive my refund in two days. Two weeks and no refund.
