My husband was in an accident on Friday, April 25. We submitted the claim by 8am. Monday, April 28, we have called, left voicemails, tried on line.. you name it, we tried.. to find SOMETHING out. Monday, @ 5:02pm I received a text from Elizabeth Peahl, she would be calling Tuesday at 9 am. At 10am, I left her voicemail. At 10:42 am I left voicemail for her supervisor, Nicole. Went to your service center in Austin on Lamar. Very nice person helped me. We confirmed my claim #22-4700866, but progressive/claims doesn't won't accept this. Some lady with a progressive policy drove into me Dec. 19 2022. My insurance wouldn't help me since they said I had no liability inssurance. Since she was at fault I went to progressive. I now get the run around. They have given numerous phone numbers. The lady in charge give me my that claim#. I call her every day. They promise to call back by the end of the day but so far nothing. Been dealing with a hail damage claim since May, 6 months later I am still acting as a middleman between Progressive and Santander. To make matters worse, every time I make the connection, new documents are needed. Since when did I become employed by Progressive? I moved to Austin a month ago and started with Progressive insurance for the first time. I already have a claim and it's been quite a process getting it resolved. I had to drive up to this facility to have them take pictures. Very strange facility not conducive at all to having customers coming in. But they took the photos and got me out of there in the 15 they promised. His app glitched out and had to start the process over again so it doesn't give me very good faith about how Progressive Insurance operates overall read more

So filed a claim, got my claim number, did virtual inspection, turned my vehicle into the dealership for them to do the repair work, been 2 weeks and been told a claim adjuster will be going in to look at the vehicle, waited till next day off went in, the dealership said no adjuster come to look, literally was told that the adjuster Robyn was scheduled today to come look, talked to someone else they said no, she not scheduled till tomorrow, talked to Robyn she said she heard nothing, so my advisor at the dealership said in the time it taking them to get an adjuster to look my vehicle 2 other insurance claims came thru from other insurance agency's and have already handed them the check for repairs, so def do not take care of you and no one seems to know what's going on. Worst part I talked to the adjuster and said he be there the day talked to him on the phone. read more

The auto body shop repairing my car had to contact Progressive repeatedly to get them to approve costs for repairing my car--this is AFTER a progressive adjuster took several days to give me an estimate for less than half of the cost of the repairs. The final straw: after the LAST part needed to repair the car arrived damaged, the body shop again had to call and email repeatedly to get a check issued for the new part. Due the delays from the Progressive side, I am now past the 30 days of my rental coverage and have to pay the weekly rental rate out of pocket. If I could give zero stars I would. After being a Progressive customer for over a decade, I'm looking into cancelling and switching to Geico today. read more

Rude! Rude! Rude! I wouldn't even give them one star if I didn't have to! One of their customers hit me and I had to drive nearly an hour (one way) to get to one of their few and far between sites through traffic at my own expense. Then they insisted I had to pay for their gas both ways for their loaner!!! I drove in with a newer Lexus and they give me a horrible low budge and poor safety rated car to drive as a loaner. When I complained I got a lot of pushback and eye rolling. I had to wait around EVEN longer for them to give me a car that was barely better than the last. It took much longer (as in days) than they had predicted and I kept calling to ask about my car. When I finally got my car back the battery was toast the minute I turned it off. I noticed the lights (parking) had been left on and they had obviously jumped it to cover their tracks. The manager who was a complete d*k drove out as I was stuck and claimed my battery was old which it was not. It had a five-year warranty that had only 14 months on it. He shouted at me that I should have had my battery changed!!! It didn't need it until you ran it out for days!!! Funny how it didn't have any issues until they go ahold of it. The manager was rude and accusatory and refused to accept any responsibility. If they were the last insurer on Earth I wouldn't use them. I have used Geico for over a decade and trust me when I say it's a whole different ball game on the plus side! Worst read more

This one-stop shop to get your car fixed is straight forward and efficient. No one ever wants to deal with the process of making things 100% after a car crash but Progressive sure does make it easy with their service center. After getting into a crash, I contacted my insurance (Progressive) and an adjuster contacted me within 24 hours to get me scheduled for a time to drop off at the service center. Since my crash happened on a Friday evening, they got me in Monday morning. I was initially hesitant about going to a service center since I couldn't control where my car was actually going to get fixed (they work with several different body shops), but it all worked out just fine. You pull up to the center, they look over your car, give you a loaner and you're on your way in less than 20 minutes! It's nice that they have rental cars on site so you don't have to worry about being dropped off or picked up! Everyone at the service center was nice and helpful. The person who managed my account was Kevin with a body shop out of Pflugerville area. Super nice! My car was done in one week and the pickup was just as painless. read more

This is a pretty nice but older place. They're nice here except for taking awhile to find keys when I came to pick up a vehicle. Not sure why you have to "Make an appointment" then wait to be helped, their scheduling is pretty weird if you ask me. Offered rental almost 5 days after dropping vehicle off (a lot of good that does me) but that has to do more with Progressive as a company, not this specific location. All in all a decent experience while going through getting a vehicle fixed. I've had worse ;) read more

Our company vehicle was totaled so I had to come in here to turn in the title and pick up the check. On my first visit the lady who assisted me let me know that the owner had filled out the title incorrectly. I was a bit at odds about this because I had been dealing with the claim and the process for over a month and I was just ready to be done with it and get the check. She was really sweet and let me know what I needed to do to rectify the situation and even filled out a sample of the paperwork exactly how it needed to be filled out so there wasn't any further mistakes and back and forth driving on my part. They have a fridge with sodas, waters and a bunch of snacks to keep people happy while they are waiting for service estimates. They also have some nice reusable shopping bags and of course I am a hoarder of those so I grabbed one on my way out. The second time I came in I had the paperwork and all the other necessary documents ready to go and the gentleman who helped me was quick to handle the transaction and give me the check. He also was kind enough to print out and explain the estimate paperwork and the percentage of the loss that was deemed to be on our part of the liability end. It was exactly what I needed to be able to explain to the owners quickly and answer all of their questions. I may have grabbed another reusable bag on my way out this time too! They even towed the vehicle to their secure yard so that we could stop incurring storage fees at the body shop once they deemed it was definitely totaled. Personally, I really love Progressive when I have had to deal with them as my insurance company as well as through this entire process. They are always pleasant, quick and are more than willing to go the extra mile to answer any and all questions. read more

Poor attention to detail. Brought my car in after someone hit it while it was parked and ran... needed some body work on the driver's door and wheel well, as well as wheel work. Progressive had the body and wheel work done and called me to tell me it's ready, so I came pick it up. Strike #1: I take my keys, stand next to the door, and attempt to open it. It doesn't open. It's one of the proximity keys that, as long as it's in your pocket, should unlock the door. Strike #2: I get in the car, turn it on, and warning light pops up that tires are under-inflated. Strike #3: I re-inflate tires myself after driving it away (because, even though they're still open, they've "closed" that part of the operation) and notice that on the wheel they fixed, the stem cover is no longer the factory metal one that matches the wheel, but a crappy black plastic one. When I alerted the progressive representative he was apologetic but also said things like "well, our bay where we can check the tire pressure is closed and the weather has been changing, so you can either take the car now and bring it back or it can sit here unused until Monday" and "well, how would I have known to check the proximity lock, I've never seen that before, but if you bring it back we can fix it or you can take it to the dealer." Progressive makes a huge deal about, if you use their service center, they do this 1 hour, multi-point inspection, blaahh blahh blahh, to make sure it's perfect before you pick it up. They shouldn't advertise that and not deliver... The second you turn the car on, there is a big, blinking, yellow icon with text that says "Warning Tires Underinflated!!!" smack-dab in the middle of the driver console. It's unmissable! An insurance company sending you on our way with under-inflated tires is ridiculous. And the comment of "how should I have known to check the lock..." YOUR JOB is to inspect cars after they've been repaired. That's like saying, "how should I have known to DO MY JOB?" I'm bringing it back in on Monday, and at the end of the day, I think they'll fix everything, but absolutely no sensitivity to the inconvenience factor of having to go back and forth 30 min north before/after work or sense that gee, if we advertise we get it right the first time, maybe we should. I wouldn't have accepted the car back from the body shop like this, but evidently, they did. read more

Very good customer service. You bring your car, pick the rental, get several follow-up calls and after a few days your car is ready and there perfectly repaired. Even better, no hassling from the typical rental salesman what is a real relieve. I"m switching to Progressive next month when I have to renew my insurance policy, this company works. read more

I went to this Progressive location because my car was scraped while parallel parked outside my house. I dropped off my car at the location for inspection, waited while they looked at it and gave me an estimate, and decided to have their shop handle the damage/repair. They provided me with a rental car. The actual repairs took a little long. Dropped it off on a Thursday, and it wasn't ready for pick up until the following Wednesday. Also, when I picked it up, it had some light scratches on it that had not been on my car before. I pointed this out, and they buffed out the scratches within twenty minutes. Cons: - took a long time for repair (almost an entire week) - some minor scratches (that were buffed out) were on my car after repair Pros: - the repair done on my scraped car door looked amazing and brand new. - the car was cleaned inside and out--something I did not expect. - although there were scratches on the car, these were handled quickly and (as it should have been) without charge. Note-- right before I had to pick up my car, I locked my rental keys in my rental car. The Progressive staff at the service site transferred me to Roadside assistance, and within an hour, Pop a Lock came by and got me back in my car. The Progressive service overlooked the fact that I was an hour late and helped me right away upon my arrival Everyone was helpful and courteous. I had a great experience. read more

Clearly it would be best if I never had to deal with an accident again but if I do find myself in another wreck (this was my first) l want to be able to take my car to this Progressive service center. Customer service at this center is not good. My Mazda 2014 got front end damage from a deer running into it. Their body shop fixed the car and it ran ok, but the low-tire indicator light was on when I picked it up. I figured it could be reset like I had done many times before. But immediately after the repair, the reset would not work. No matter what I did, it didn't reset. I brought the car to the Mazda dealer for regular service and told them the reset was not working, and asked them if they could find out what the problem was. Turns out the paint job done by the Progressive body shop caused a faulty connection from the frame to the ground wires which prevented the indicator light from being reset. They had to clean out the painted wires to fix it and hard reset the indicator light. I called Xaxier at the Progressive Service Center and he said he would send someone out to the Mazda service center to take a look and see if their body shop's repair was responsible. He didn't call me back for a week. I had to call the Progressive office and got another person who said he would check with Xavier and call the Mazda service center to get a resolution. He said he would call back later that day or next day. Never got any phone call or update for 3 days. I had to call Progressive a 3rd time and got John's voicemail. He had already talked to the Mazda service center apparently but didn't call me with any update. I left a message for John reasserting that Mazda Service stated it was their body shop's paint job which caused the problem and that Progressive should at least help pay for part of the repair. He didn't return my call either within their 24-hour promise to return calls. So, here I sit with no car and no resolution to my claim to pay for the indicator light repair. I could easily reset the light myself prior to accident. After accident, the light came on and it could not be reset. Paint from body work caused it and cleaning it fixed the problem. How can you state it was not caused by your repair and refuse to pay? So, rather than fight with Progressive over this and have my car sit hostage in the shop for another week, I will have to pay $282 to get the car back. So much for Progressive's promise of taking care of any "issues" after they do repairs on your car. Take it to a shop that knows what they are doing and avoid the headache of dealing with their agents if something does go wrong. EDIT: 9/16/17 I contacted their 800 number and complained about the lack of response on the part of the Austin's Service Center personnel. The region manager, Bryan, contacted me and apologized a few days later and cut a check for the $282. So it was eventually handled to my satisfaction and I have given them a couple more stars. read more

I had a 3 pm appointment to turn in my car to get repaired. I arrived 15 minutes early, cleared out my car, and went inside. All the employees were on the phone or busy so I waited about 10 minutes. No one acknowledged my presence, said hello, or asked how they could help me. I left and decided to take my car to Caliber instead. read more

Crazy over priced!!! I just switched to Geico and saved over $800 a year for my insurance. I never had an accident or claim with Progressive, so that type of service may be excellent (well, it better be for the price y'all are paying!) I could not believe I wasted $408 for six months with Progressive. So sad! I started my policy on Dec 20th and ended it on June 20th. You would think I wouldn't owe anything, but I received a bill for $80.63 for "Other Fees". When I called to ask what these "other fees" were, I was told that there was a charge to have a policy. How does that make any sense?!!! So I not only paid $244 a month, but I also had to pay extra to have an insurance policy that is required by law? Sounds like nonsense to me. Not impressed with the service at this point... After a crash, where both parties have progressive.. I found that the adjuster only looked at one side of the story .. And immediately made us 100% responsible... Where as, if they would have taken time to look at the evidence, its clear the other driver shared responsibility.. Now the guy who walked away from the scene GOLF CLUBS IN HAND is now claiming medical expenses.. It makes it hard to believe in a company that does not look at the story from all angles.. Progressive insurance is such a joke. They advertise on TVs nationwide as being able to help you easily. This is beyond wrong. Progressive has continuously needed different proof of residency and has been threatening to cancel my auto policy since it started until I get the proper proof. A Texas GOVERNMENT ISSUED drivers license along with other government issued mail has not been sufficient either. What else does this insurance company need? Make it more convenient for the people who are actually following the rules and have more than enough proper information to be insured. read more

Unfortunately I have been here twice in the last six months. Twice the paint has been wrong and they took care of correcting that really well and quickly. These guys are pretty great at calling you back to update you on your car and letting you know where in the process you are. However this last time I picked my car up on a Froday and on Saturday morning noticed some damage on the car. This place is closed over the weekend, so I called on Monday to see what could be done. The man I spoke to over the phone tried to convince me it was a rock chip... no. So I took it back Tuesday after work; just now. I understand that women don't usually understand car talk but I can't say I say a need to talk like I couldn't understand anything. I kept asking questions and re-phrased when the guy I was talking with wouldn't answer my exact question. After the third time he failed to answer my question and just kept putting forth that they weren't responsable and couldn't possibly do anything since "it's not really that bad as it won't rust" I just got too frustrated. I was tired of trying and not being heard. Would've been a five out of five if this wouldn't have happened. But oh well. I guess there is not that bad. read more

I'm so confused as to why everyone is saying they had a good experience... mine has been awful. I'm guessing some of you are not aware that progressive body shops will replace your parts with LOW QUALITY replacements which often don't fit properly. Their body shop put an aftermarket bumper on my car, which doesn't fit; AND my car was missing parts when I got it back. Luckily, my husband works with cars and called them out on it. After we took it back the second time, they literally made it worse. On top of all that, the service center doesn't call back, and does not communicate with each other or their customers. I will caution you, check for the quality of the parts AND the quality of work their body shops do, they will say they inspected it, but get a second opinion. This is the first time I've been in an accident and wasn't sure about using the progressive service center. After reading the mixed reviews I thought I'd try to go it alone. Two weeks later without any progress I decided to roll the dice. It was surprisingly easy. I got a rental and dropped my car off in about 10 minutes, got update calls and everyone was really nice. I got my car back two days early and so far everything looks great. The shop even detailed the inside. Now time will tell for the quality of work but progressive guarantees it as long as I own the car. Pro tip- take your drivers license when getting a rental. read more

I took my car in and the estimate was $600. I understand estimates are just that, and can change. Progressive however proceeded to repair my car without notifying me that the estimate went from $600 to 3000. They were very rude when I spoke with them about it. My car was hit in a near empty parking lot by a Progressive insured driver. After repair of my new 2018 car that I had for less than a year and told the adjuster I wanted to make a diminished value claim. She initially acted as if she wasn't sure that Texas allows DV claims. After our second conversation she stated that my DV claim was only subjective since I hadn't traded my vehicle in yet to see what the loss is and since my car was repaired it had been restored to its original value. After telling her how ridiculous that was by giving her the example of two of the same vehicles are being sold and one has an accident on the Carfax, which one do you think would have the higher value, she still claimed it would be subjective. After getting nowhere with her I was forwarded to a manager who flat out told me they wouldn't be paying me for my DV claim. Basically this whole situation from my car being hit by a negligent driver, to dealing with Progressive has been a disaster. I wouldn't recommend anyone to choose them as an insurer because they will gladly collect your premium but not payout when needed. They did not make me whole & if you can avoid Progressive insured drivers on the road you will be all the better for it. read more

The people are nice and I was allured by the ease of the process: don't have to get estimates, rental onsite, etc. But the initial ease is not worth the additional work down the line. I had to bring my car back again not once, but twice. When I first got my car back they informed me there was a problem, but it wasn't from the crash. I should go take it to my dealer. I did and guess what they said? It was the result of the crash. So I had to have it worked on again, and fortunately they covered the cost of a rental this time. But seven months down the line, I found out that my wheel bearing needed replacing on the wheel that got hit. Apparently faulty wheel bearings make noise, but of course it went unnoticed by me as I'm going deaf. Since it had been so long they questioned the timing, but how am I supposed to notice a sound I can't hear and pin down when it started when the only reason I found out is because someone else told me. Thank goodness my other bearings were fine and I don't drive that much. Even though they finally agreed to cover it, I wasn't given a free rental this time. Instead it was up to my insurance coverage. read more

I made a mistake of leaving my car there. They did fix my rear bumper, but while doing so left a really deep scratch on the steering wheel. After over a month of "internal investigations" they told me that they could not establish a direct link with the car being in their possession and the scratch, and they denied the claim. As a result, I'll have to pay out of pocket for the steering wheel replacement, as the leasing company already told me this damage is not going to be covered as normal wear and tear, and that will cost more than fixing the rear bumper did. So, unless you take photos of every square inch of your car's interior, they can do whatever the hell they want with your car, give it back to you with any damage and you'll never be able to prove anything. I canceled my policy the same day. read more

I am a skeptic I must admit. I have heard really great stories from friends and some family about their experience with Progressive Insurance. I just had it in my mind they were being subjective. Well I was one of the unfortunate hail victims this past week and this was the first time I actually had to contact Progressive since I started service 6 months ago. I was prepared to jump through hoops, answer many questions, and get the run around. But to the contrary I was able to start my claim online and set up a time convenient for me to bring my vehicle in for an estimate. This was followed up by a courtesy call to ensure my appointment time worked for me and I was aware of the service center location. The day of my appointment I was in and out in a matter of 30-45 minutes with a favorable estimate and courteous customer service. Other than my son wanting to meet "Flo" and having to explain to him she was not in office this day I am a convinced and satisfied Progressive customer! read more

I am very disappointed in progressive procedures. I was hit by one of your clients totaling my car out. The adjuster Nicky Nunicio is unprofessional and a liar. I have tried for a month to contact her via email, her cell phone and her office number. On top of that I had a meeting with her and for my medical bills this woman told me she will pay 1500 for my pain and anguish when I finally talked to her she only offered 750. Than in that meeting she told me she talked to my insurance and they pinned me liable for the accident. How? I talked to my insurer they find I'm 0 percent liable. My accident happened Oct. 14 in Dallas where your client due to not paying attention to the traffic ran into the back of my car totaling it out. Even in the police report which she lied and said it going to take a week to process when i got the info in 3 days sent over to her states his car caused the accident. I'm still not in another car driving around with my airbags out my seatbelts locked and my trunk that doesn't close anymore. Listen to other bad reviews. Don't waste your time here. I had made an appointment to have my car taken in for a service. When i got there, they said I didn't have an appointment for me. I had to take time off work from my busy schedule and asked to be seen at least by the end of the day. They couldn't even honor that I had a busy schedule and pretty much lost a day's worth of pay because of their mistake. If you make a mistake, that customer is your priority instead of having them making an appointment on another day. Incompetent. SAVE YOUR TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Our car was damaged by a hail storm in mid May and was taken to the San Antonio Progressive Service Center. We were told the car would be fixed by end of May. The rental we got was also only covered until then. Around the time we're supposed to pick up our car, we got a call saying our car won't be ready for another week and we have to pay for rental out of our own pocket. Another week passed and we got another call saying our car won't be ready for pick up AGAIN. It is now mid June so we have not been able to get our car for a month. Just yesterday we got another call saying there were some paint issue and our car won't ready until next week. I called and left voice mail with their manager Jennifer Nance and have not heard back from her. I also requested to speak with a supervisor from the Progressive claims department and so far have not heard back from anyone. I was told they've been receiving a lot of complaints about the same issue. Aside from paying for the rental car ourselves, how do they expect people to react when they keep telling their customers again and again that their cars will not be ready on time?? We will be switching back to Geico after this mess. read more
