I'm so thankful for the help I received from Edward! I was so upset when I got my new renewal rate from my former insurance company. My insurance rate went from $700 to $2,604 for a six month policy! I thought it was a mistake. But it went up for two things. One was a previous accident a year ago, the next I was so shocked that I was at fault for. I was parked, and I was getting out of my car and the wind blew my door opened and hit the car next to me. I was very upset because I just started leasing a brand new car. I didn't even notice but apparently I did nick the woman's car next to me. Her car was older and wasn't clean so I didn't even notice a mark at first. She got out of the car and was very angry. However, we were parked and it wasn't the worst accident, so we decided just to exchange insurance information. My car cost very little to fix only $50.00. I uploaded photos to my insurance company just to show proof that it was just tiny dents on both cars. Not a huge deal, and I didn't even use insurance since mine cost so little to fix. I figured she wouldn't either because hers couldn't cost more than $500. Well it turned out that when I was shopping for insurance, my insurance paid over 1,000 to fix the nick on her door. I find that so appalling and I don't know how something so little can cost so much. When I called them, I felt instead of standing up for me they really just didn't care, and didn't want me as a customer anymore. I asked how could that have cost that much? Mine was $50 and didn't you get my photos I uploaded? They told me no. So because of that incident, I really got taken advantage of. On top of it at the time they told me my insurance wouldn't be affected. Everywhere I looked, those two accidents made it so couldn't find a reasonable rate. But Edward contacted me and immediately put me at ease and understood my situation. Accidents happen, but I really feel sometimes things aren't so black and white, and for that situation with the wind and my door, I feel I got really taken advantage of. Edward listened to my situation and really understood. He found me a very great rate, and I'm so thankful for his service. He helped me and made looking for a new insurance very easy. Kori Neilson is my agent and she is the best fricken insurance person out there. A few years ago I had gotten a speeding ticket and done traffic school. At the time, I was with a different insurance agency and my premium seemed really high. I always asked the people WHY. I asked if I had any points on my record and their response was always, no, you still get charged a large premium with a ticket on your record even if you do traffic school. Eventually, I switched to Kanopy. Their rates were way better AND Kori was THE ONLY ONE who could figure out what was going on with my record and helped me SO MUCH. The county incorrectly put a point on my record and she worked with me the whole time to try and resolve the issue. She not only got me a refund for the increased premium I was charged for an incorrect point on my record, but I was able to get a refund from the previous company as well. The past few weeks I have been going through the home buying process. Yesterday, I emailed her asking her to send a copy of my HO3 policy to my broker and she got back to him in 2 seconds. The rate is also super cheap. Kanopy is just a really great company. I think it's a smaller company, so whenever you call, you talk to a real person, and everyone is so helpful.
